Posted on April 27, 2016 at 09:34When I use SPC5Studio 4.1.0 to generate files for a project that worked with 4.0.0 and try to compile with gcc, I get the following errorscc1.exe: error: bad value (e200z0) for -mcpuIf I replace the line in the MakefileMCU  = e200z0 -meabi -msdata=none -mregnameswith the previous code from 4.0.0MCU  = e200zx -meabi -msdata=none -mnew-mnemonics -mregnamesit works again.Likewise, in the file checkCompiler.h I have to add the line &sharpdefine se_bge   bgeoutside of the &sharpif defined(__hightec_asm), otherwise I get this error:./components/spc560bcxx_platform_component_rla/lib/src/boot.s:163: Error: Unrecognized opcode: `se_bge' #spc5studio

Posted on April 26, 2016 at 11:30hi st,I want to program spc560p40 through flexcan, and on every start-up the program can be upgraded.I plan to store the boot code into falsh sector 0, and application code into other sectors. However I am not clear how should I configure?So, is there some example or descrition?Thanks. #bootloader

Posted on April 27, 2016 at 10:19I try to use SPC56EL70L5-DISP(master) to communicate another board(slave) through SPI. CRC-8 , polynomial, C(x) = x8 + x2 + x1 + 1 , is needed for the SPI last byte. I attempt to use the SPC56EL70L3 build-in CRC function to check/generate CRC byte. However the datasheet mentions it supports x8 + x4 + x3 + x2 + 1. Is it possible for me to use the built-in CRC function? And how do I configure the CRC reg(CRC_CFG, CRC_INP, CRC_CSTAT) Thanks for help #crc

Posted on March 21, 2016 at 15:12Hello,I am working with SPC560D40L3 microcontroller and I have some questions on how to design the interface between my board (which design is still in work) and the SPC5 UDESTK and the SPCconnect tools.Please find my questions below:- SPC5 UDESTK - how to do the pin assignment on the board JTAG connector: - what is the JTAG pinout on the cable side? Can I assume the connector pinout on the board side is the same as the one on the demo board (SPC560D-DIS)and just do the same? -SPC5 connect - JTAG connector - what is the pinout on the cable side? Is it different from the UDESTK? In other words: do I have to foresee two different JTAG connectors on my board for the two different devices, or can the same connector on the board will be OK for both?- SPC5 connect - flash over CAN bus  - what is the pinout on the DB9 connector? Is it the standard one with CANH on pin 7 and CANL on pin 2? Do I need to foresee extra connections for the SP5 connect to

This demo works with thevariable resistor on the SPC560D-Discovery board. My question is why is thisdemo working only with channel 36? I tried several configurations and i getevery time some static ADC values. I mean if i change the resistance the ADCvalue does not change. The exception is Channel 36 this channel works fine. I hope somebody can help me.kind regardsPhilipp

Posted on September 29, 2015 at 16:48Hi We're trying to write a startup test for ECC detection using the EEGR register (table 524 of the reference manual RM0037). However it appears as if once a data inversion is forced (resulting in an IVOR 2 exception) it continues to occur following return from interrupt (rfi) regardless of ESR (and other ECSM register) clearing. Is this expected behaviour, and/or is there a recommended sequence to recover from an EEGR-injected ECC error? Thanks Kevin

The configuration data is of 120 bytes. I tried reading the reference manual (CD00259063.pdf) on using the Data flash as NVM but may be I am unable to understand on reading/writing to Data flash. I don't find any APIs for it. How can I use the 'DFLASH' for reading or writing? Please check your internet connection and retry.'' But my internet connection does work well, it could be connected to others, Eclipse, Obeo, Redhat Marketplaces. Is there any trouble on SPC5STUDIO Marketplace?

Posted on March 05, 2016 at 08:20I am familiar with stm32cube and keil and eclipse platform.but new to spc5studio.i recently install spc5studio and from market place i also installed necessary compiler and chibios.but i little bit confuse how to create new project with help of pin map wizard and component wizard help is not that much helpful. i used to practice in stm32cube that in cube i select whichever component i want to use and when i generate code all initialization portion is included in project automatically. but here i little confused.here i want to create project which use uart and chibios. so any one can suggest helpful and illustrative document for this???? #spc5studio

Posted on February 23, 2016 at 15:47Hello, I can't find any eDMA+eMIOS example in SPC5 Studio (only DSPI and ADC are available). Can I get one from the expert team? I would like to trigger an eDMA request after an eMIOS channel counted 16 periods on an external pin. This DMA request would transfer the counter value of another eMIOS channel (to measure the 16 period time) and when done, trigger an INTC interrupt to use the transfered value and calculate the period. I'm using SPC564B74. Thank you

Posted on February 08, 2016 at 13:18Good morning.I have a problem setting the system clock of SPC560EL. I want to use the internal clock, but I cannot. Each time I execute the code, reading the main status register, I see that the SYSCLOCK switch to PPL. I cannot understand why this is the case.In the wizard, the external oscillator bypass is not checked. Is this the correct behaviour?Someone could be so kind to explain me how to configure the micro via wizard so that i don't use external oscillators? I don't know what kind of setting I have to put for the input port as I don't have an example for that, I think INPUT_ANALOG_MODE and LOW, but I want to be sure. Thank you very much.
