Posted on May 13, 2015 at 10:58 Hello, I would like to reload PWM duty cycle every 10 PWM periods using DMA functionality. Therefore I configured FlexPWM subodule 0 and DMA channel An array stores 8 different values for VAL3 register which equal duty cycles from 10%...80%. My DMA channel step looks like that: DMAMUX.CHCONFIG[10].R = DMA_CHANNEL_ENABLED | DMA_CHANNEL_NTRIGGERED | 12; edmaChannelSetup(10,&dcPWM[0],&mcPWM_A. SUBMOD [0]. VAL_3 . R,2,0,1,1,2,8,-16,0,0); Now VAL_3 register is written by DMA, but always with the last table element. If I reduce the DMA iterations to 4, then VAL_3 always gets the value of 4th element from my table.I already used DMA for reloading eTimer compare values and had no problems with writing one element from a table to compare registers with each compare event. Posted on September 08, 2015 at 09:40Hi I write a bootloader program for my device the program compiled ok when i choose this option ( LOAD IN RAM ) the program complied ok and run successful but when i choose the seconde option(Copy in RAM ) the compiler build a bin file with 1GB size and when i choose the first option (Execute From Flash ) if i select the 0x0000 address the program compile ok but when i select the other section like 128K code section the program not compile and get me this error input section'.sdata' = 'awsl' output section '.data' ='awl' c:/spc5studio/eclipse/plugins/com.st.tools.spc5.tools.hightec.win32_1.0.0.201306281422/hightec/bin/../lib/gcc/ppc-ht-eabi/4.6.3/../../../../ppc-ht-eabi/bin/ld.exe: build/out.elf section `.boot0' will not fit in region `flash' c:/spc5studio/eclipse/plugins/com.st.tools.spc5.tools.hightec.win32_1.0.0.201306281422/hightec/bin/../lib/gcc/ppc-ht-eabi/4.6.3/../../../../ppc-ht-eabi/bin/ld.exe: region `flash' overflowed by 5787888 bytes

I would like to use ICU eMIOS_0 ch. 9 (PA[9], E0UC[9]) but eMIOS ICU config in HAL layers is only listing ch. 0 to 7 and ch.24. It should lists ch.1 to 7 and 9 to 15 on eMIOS_0 and ch.9 to 15 on eMIOS_1 according to reference manual, right? If you confirm the issue, can you please advise on which files should be modified? Posted on September 02, 2015 at 15:30Hello, I'm using SPC5Studio V3.6 and SPC564B74. The HAL drivers are limiting FlexCAN mailbox number to 32 but this CPU has 64 MB per FlexCAN. I can change SPC5_CAN_NUM_RX_MAILBOXES and SPC5_CAN_NUM_TX_MAILBOXES définitions in mcuconf.h but this file seems not to be ''patchable''. It has to be changed manually every time the code is generated. Fixes is welcome. Aurélien

Posted on August 28, 2015 at 16:07Hello, In SPC5 Studio V3.4.4, instead of accessing the pinmap wizard using the small icon in the HAL configuration, I created a pinmap wizard in the project using ''New -> SPC5 Studio Pinmap Wizard'' and I'm now stucked because I can't find a way to send this pinmap config to my application HAL config. There must be a way to do that since creating a pinmap wizard project would have no reason to exist... Please help! I don't want to reconfigure all my IOs again even if it is ''friendly'' ;) Thanks for help!

I'm trying to cause Illegal instruction exception (IVOR6) by substituting part of hex with 0x0000. According to PowerISA v2.06B ''an instruction consisting entirely of binaly 0s is illegal, and is quaranteed to be illegal in all future versions of this architecture''. The problem is no exception is taken. From what i know this exception is not maskable so it always should be taken assuming requirements are met. I also tried writing program counter to memory region consisting of all 0s and no exception is taken. Is this behaviour correct and how can I cause this exception? How can i translate hex code to instructions performed by microcontroller, hex code doesn't seem to correspond to opcodes presented in e200z4 core documentation? When exacly are Floating-point unavailable (IVOR7) and SPE Unavailable (IVOR32) exceptions taken? If MSR[FP] = 0 and MSR[SPE] = 0 a

How can I configure ADC module for using CTU, one shot conversion vs scan, priorities for EOC etc?3. Any user guide available for using SPC5Studio effectively? Posted on August 20, 2015 at 18:04Hello,I am using eMIOS module for SPC560D40L3 MCU for generating PWM. I am using default configuration for the SPCStudio project with no change to FMPLL0 and Clocks settings. My target uses 8MHz external XTAL. With this, I am trying to generate a PWM for frequency ranging from 15Hz to 600Hz. I observed that the PWM channel is not giving exact frequency PWM on the output. The difference is small at lower values but goes on increasing as the frequency rises (@ 125Hz at 600Hz). Why is this behavior for eMIOS module? Is any additional configuration required?Thanks in advance.Mike.

Posted on August 04, 2015 at 17:40Hi I Want to Use LINFELX2 in uart mode in SPC560B50L5 but in HAL Driver Component Have 2 LINFLEX (LINFLEX0 and LINFLEX1) there is not exist LINFLEX2 OR 3 !!!! Are Those driver's not supported or i can not use this Port ? the other problem is i want to use LINFLEX0 with diffrent baud rate. The only information we have for now is values of registers in time of exeption: 00000020 - ESR        - VLEMI (VLE Mode Instruction) 00088008 - MCSR    - MAV, LD, BUS_DRERR 000E4A80 - PC         - (program counter indicating flash sector read function) Further investigation of SW showed that this occured because EER bit in MCR (Module Configuration Register of flash memory block C90FL) was set. Is this bit set only after detecting 2bit ECC error? Are 1bit errors fixed automatically or it's the task of SW? What about 3 and more bit errors? What could cause ECC errors? Is there any detailed documentation regarding ECC handling in this microcontroller? Something like ''AN4276 ECC management on SPC560x''. Best regards

When included to the project, it displays a message as 'unresolved inclusion <string.h>'. What can be done to resolve this? Whether SPC5Studio supports these type of standard header files or not? So: chnWriteTimeout(&SD1, (uint8_t *) ''Hello World!\r\n'' , 14, TIME_INFINITE); But an Integer? I tried to use chprintf, but not working. It does not recognize the function chprintf. I included the header chprintf.h uint32_t number=25; chprintf(&SD1, ''%u \n\r'' , number); The error is: main.c:(.text_vle.main+0x10c): undefined reference to `chprintf' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [build/ out .elf] Error 1 In the demo of SPC5 Studio for my board they use only chnWriteTimeout.
