I'm using the SPC5604 at 8MHz, FAB and ABS pins are set to boot from CAN. A dedicated CAN probe is used from a PC to perform the CAN boot protocol. According to ST's application notes and datasheets I must sent my messages at 200kbds.First I send the default password 0xFEEDFACECAFEBEEF to CANID 0x011 and according to the application note I shall receive an echo of this message at CANID 0x001. Unfortunately I do not receive any messages. Then I try to send address and size... still no answer.Did somebody know why? What did I missed? #boot #can #spc56xx #bam

Posted on June 07, 2013 at 23:37Hi All,I am unable to get the sample application to run on the dev board.Setup: 1. SPC56xxMB/XPC56xxMB (they are identical according to the schematics)2. SPC564AADPT324S/XPC564AADPT324S (they also are identical according to the schematics)Problem:1. LEDs do not flash2. Using the BDM debugger (P&E Micro USB Multilink PPC Nexus) I can see that the SIU.PCR and eMIOS.CCR registers are not configured correctly. In fact they appear to have the default values in them. I actually have my own app running on this board under CodeWarrior so I know that the board works and what the correct SIU.PCR and eMIOS.CCR values should be.Observations:I am wondering if the problem is in the chip configuration. The board I received came with a MPC5644A/SPC564A80B4. (To make it even more confusing, it seems that Freescale has just changed the part number on their part to SPC5644A!)In platform.h  _SPC564A70L7_ is defined and in application.ld the MEMORY directive i

Posted on May 16, 2013 at 16:031. Is there an example project available for the SPC564A? 2. More specifically, is there a SPC5 Studio BSP for the eval board that ST and Freescale jointly sell?3. Is there any support for the eTPU2 in SPC5 Studio and/or is any support planned?I am impressed by the SPC5 Studio software, but because of the unusual way it creates projects (the component concept) it will be very difficult to use without an example. I know that it is possible to create a new component, but without at least a minimal example you would be effectively porting the entire environment to a new architecture.

In the installation process I chose the option 30days embedded license but it seemed that it was not working.Do I need to require 1 year license by HighTech License Generation Flow? Posted on February 15, 2013 at 21:47Hi, i downloaded SPC5 studio from ST web. look like a nice enviroment but i don't undestand what showld i do to purchase an activation code for compiler once trial period is expired. If i start my development with such enviroment i need to know how go ahead without stop and go. Second i'm not sure if Pictus line is supported by SPC5 studio configurato and compiler Thanks #spc56

Posted on February 06, 2013 at 22:37Hello, I have looked at the SPC5 studio preview and have a few comments/questions: 1.  When will a compiler be available? 2.  The SPC5 Studio seems to integrate the Chibios RTOS.  There is no documentation with the studio for the OS.  When will this be available?  The OS implementation does not match the Chibio documentation available on Chibios.org as the original OS was intended for z4 and z3 PPC cores.  What is changed between the original OS and the one used in the studio? 3.  Is there a possiblity to not use the OS but still use the drivers and configuration part of the studio?
