Hi all,In the datasheet of the TESEO-VIC3DA (or LIV3), it is recommended to use a DC blocking capacitor of 120pF on pin 11(RF_IN).This value seems high for GNSS band use, the resonant frequency of the Murata GCM1555C1H121JA16 reference is much lower than 1.5GHz, can you confirm that this value is the most suitable?If yes, why not use a lower capacitance value (e.g. 33pF) which has a minimum impedance in the GNSS band?ThanksGilles

I want to use the teseo LIV3f GNSS module as an I2C positioning sensor and i am following the AN5203. However, when i send the configuration over I2C, the GNSS module responds to all the commands with corresponding OK message except for the $PSTMSAVEPAR command. It just echoes the command back without OK message. This command works only over UART. (I even tried sending the configurations over I2C and sending just the $PSTMSAVEPAR over UART, and this works). I would really like some help with this. Thanks in Advance !

Hi, I am trying to communicate with Teseo module UART2 pins on the TESEO VIC3DA EVB via STM32F407 eval board UART pins. But not manage to send NMEA command and not get reponse NMEA message from the module . Here is the setup: Hard-wired STM32F407 PC10-PC11 pins (UART4) with UART2 pin of the Module ( cross it TX-RX, RX-TX), then common the grounds and power. Not plug the usb of the Module EVB.Am I doing wrong? Thank you,

we are using a TESEO-LIV3F in it's default configuration and it is giving local time not UTC. How can I configure it to provide UTC?

In the datasheet, the Max fix rate is 10Hz for 2 constellations.I would like to know the fix rate for 3 constellations (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo).

Hi Everyone, I am pretty new to working with a GNSS so please excuse my ignorance on some of these topics.I have been trying to find ways to check if I have a 3D fix or not so I tried to do this by disabling the 2D fix on "CDB-ID 222 – LMS operating mode setting 1" of the Teseo. Once I did this I am assuming that any fix message I get on the --GNS message that I have a 3D fix.Is this understanding of mine accurate?Else I was wondering if anyone knows any particular method of specifically checking if I have a 3D fix already on the Teseo LIV3FThanks in advance!

I have a Teseo LIV3R on a breakout board connected (via UART) to Tesio Suite. I'm trying to figure out how to enable STAGPS and test its functionality. Unfortunately I cannot enable the autonomous STAGPS engine using the command:$PSTMSTAGPSONOFF,1When sending the command $PSTMSTAGPSONOFF,1 to the module, I get no response. I would expect a response such as $PSTMPOLSTARTED. When sending the command $PSTMCFGAGPS,1 I get a response that the AGPS engine has been enabled. I would like to enable the autonomous STAGPS functionality though but I am not able to. ​Hopefully someone canhelp or have an idea what the problem is?​Also, I was not able to confirm if the autonomous STAGPS function is enabled as default. Does anyone know if it is, and how to confirm this? ​Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have TESEO VIC3DA Evaluation board. I can not find this board schematics and other design files in ST website. I dismantle the box and look the eval board pcb and I saw there is STM32L4xx MCU. Here is my questions:We send the NMEA commands with Teseo Suite tool to that STM32L4xx MCU, right? STM32L4xx is host MCU right? Can I design a system without using PC tool and sending the commands with programming host MCU (maybe different from STM32L4xx) to module over UART or I2C? And, looking for TESEO LIV3F documents I found more app notes and support docs but not same for VIC3DA. Can I assume both modules are similar and take reference LIV3F docs and notes. Hello,I'm currently using Teseo-VIC3DA Evaluation Board. I managed to get a 3D fix outdoors using DGPS. Afterwards, if I move indoors I get a "no fix" and I stop getting a position. Instead of this behaviour I would expect it would get into DR mode and compute the location based on the inertial unit and its sensors, which would be the correct behaviour, right? If so, do you have any suggestion to fix this behaviour? I do not have an odometer connected to the module. Is there any procedure I should make or any configuration to be able to get a DR fix?PS: When I record a trajectory, convert it to KML and open on Google Earth, I can see the “GNSS�? and “DR�? trajectories (they are always the same), but when I go indoors I lose both. Hi, in some GNSS modules I have read that there is a calibration needed with the moving vehicle to enable the DR, but if a manufacturer produces thousands of vehicles do they need to calibrate each one of them? or usually is this the responsibility of the owner of the vehicle?thanks

Hi, in the docs says that for DR we need:1.-speed 2.-forward/reverse signalBut why do we need the forward/reverse signal?, the GNSS has an IMU, could a negative acceleration give us an idea of moving in reverse?, also the speed from CAN bus, a negative speed could indicate the reverse, maybe I am missing somethingthanks

I noticed the LIV3F has a built-in DC/DC switch according to its block diagram. Does anyone know where in the spectrum the switching noise lies? I need a really low noise floor in the marine VHF band (155-162MHz) and the module will only be millimeters away from the VHF RX chain. For reference, I have rejected the Telit SE873Q5 for this exact reason.
