I'm trying to issue the CALIBRATE_ANTENNA (0xd8) command on my st25r3911b nucleo expansion board, but it seems to hang.Other commands (eg. MEASURE_CAPACITANCE and CALIBRATECAPACTIVE_SENSOR) work just fine and generate interrupts, but issuing CALIBRATE_ANTENNA literally just does nothing as far as I can see.What am I missing ?

Hi, We recently saw that SPSGRF-868 (https://www.st.com/en/wireless-connectivity/spsgrf.html) has become Not Recommended for New Designs (NRND), which seems concerning as we use it in many IoT designs.Is there any ST module available, with ACTIVE status and similar characteristics (868 MHz, integrated antenna, all-in-one-package) with SPSGRF-868 ? I could only find S2-LP and SPIRIT1 ( which SPSGRF is based on ) for 868 MHz communication, but they are plain RF transcievers and need many external components and further analysis for antenna. What would you recommend ?

What type of transients and erroneous signals can I expect at power-up and power-down if I do not follow the sequence described in the datasheet for 54AC164245? Can you characterize the duration and amplitudes when VDD1 = 5V and VDD2 = 3.3V. In this scenario our 5V always comes up before the 3.3V and the direction and enable signals are all on the 5V supply.

Since the poorly soldered microUSB connector on the eval board broke off, I fixed and wired USB-A connector. If the board is then connected to PC, STM DFU device appears in Device Manager and appropriate driver could be installed so I suppose that the wiring is O.K. However, originally a USB Serial Port (COMx) appeared so either the RF-Flasher Utility or a terminal program can work with the board.What could be the cause of this?

Hello everybodyI'm using a custom board in which there's a STM32F030 that communicate with SPBTLE_RF0 module. With X-CUBE I generate software using X-CUBE-BLE2.2.0.0.I can reset the chip and read response (vendor specific event), but when I try to configure the chip using pre-compiled software, I've noticed that immediately, at the first HCI command, I can't have response from the module. The first command after reset and after delay of 2000ms, is HCI_LE_RAND. I send the information on SPI but module doesn't take IRQ line high to tell uC that the response is ready.I can't understand why module doesn't answer.I use 1.8Mhz SPI communication, but I've tried 400KHz also. In my application I can't use SPI directly, and I use a I2C/SPI bridge. I've changed original software to work with this bridge, and as I said previously, I can send hci_reset command and read response, and I see IRQ line go high in this case.I've checked documentation on ST site, but I did not find that module, maybe, doe

Hi,I picked up a X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 (Extension board Lot:2040 for the Nucleo-64 boards), and I am trying to communicate with it through a Nucleo-F411RE Board. I basically generated a project template through CubeMX for the STM32F411RE and included the BlueNRG-2 (X-CUBE-BLE2) Pack to include Bluetooth HCL/ACI APIs along with the project template.I also assigned in CubeMX (in the Software Packs section) that I will be using SPI1 bus, GPIOB Pin 14 for the SPI EXTI Pin, GPIOA Pin 1 for the SPI1 CS pin, and GPIOA Pin 8 for the HCI_TL_RST Reset Pin.  I also configured the SPI1 bus to be Full Duplex Master, Prescaler = 128 (to obtain 781.25KBit/s baud rate), CPOL Low, and CPHA = 2 Edge (based on the configurations found in an example project under X-CUBE-BLE2\3.2.0\Projects\NUCLEO-L476RG\Applications\SampleApp). Hello. I have flashed DTM_UART firmware to my BlueNRG device. I have connected RX/TX pins to IO8/IO11 of the BlueRNG but when I start the device, on serial monitor I only see: and cannot open the device via BlueNRG-GUI.I have picked up the binary file that I have flashed via SWD using J-FLASH Lite with J-LINK:I have picked up binaries from:ST\BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.3\Firmware\BLE_Examples\DTM\BlueNRG-2\DTM_UART.binI have also tried the STEVAL firmware :ST\BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.3\Firmware\BLE_Examples\DTM\STEVAL-IDB008V1M\DTM_UART.binI have tried to open project and check out what is going on from the source files. Unfortunately, it is not clear enough for me. I had a feeling that the default clock in the project is set to 32MHZ and on my board I have 16MHZ. Could someone confirm if the DTM_UART project default crystal oscilator is set to 16MHZ or 32MHZ?What other options I have to test my device and ensure the DTM_UART firmware runs without any issues?

Hi,I'm using BLE_SensorDemo project. I have created my own services. Everything works fine reading and writing the data. The only problem is, when I try to connect from my Android mobile, I could not connect to to the BlueNRG-2 in first attempt. I had to make several attempts to establish the connection. I see the device is in discoverable mode only. I could not figure out the issue. I hope someone will help me out. Thank you in advance.

I copied the code snippet and vtimer.c from RTC_Virtual_Timer project to BLE_Beacon project. But HAL_VTimerStart_ms always returns 0x01 error(=timer already started). Similarly, I copied the same code to Micro_Sleep_Test project, it works normally with 0x00. It's unlikely, does that mean the BLE stack is using the same VTimer? (The BLE stack seems to have some VTimer functions. Micro_Sleep_Test project does not use the BLE stack.)Why does the difference occur? and Is there a workaround?

I cannot find USBPD_PE_Init(.....) function and some other function defined in usbpd_core.h . so where can I get usbpd_core.c ? I think these function may be found in usbpd_core.c

My question is regarding the BLE address.This is how it is defined in the BLE spec.:Public Device AddressThis is the standard, IEEE-assigned 48-bit universal LAN MAC address which must be obtained from the IEEE Registration Authority. It is divided into two fields:IEEE-assigned company ID held in the 24 most-significant bitsCompany-assigned device ID held in the 24 least significant bitsSo, due to spec. the BLE address shall be unique. The company ID should be some ID which identifies it as an ST or BlueNRG device which is registered to IEEE. The device ID should identify a device among the company ID. So, it has to be set by ST and not the customer as the customer cannot know all the devices.But apparently it is possible to configure the address in the BlueNRG-LP which makes it NOT UNIQUE./*

I am planning to use a STUSB4710 and use the reference schematic from it's datasheet (Figure 7). There is a connection between the STUSB4710 with the ST1S14's feedback pin. Is this how they communicate with each other to get for example 20V or 15V onto the VBUS line?

I write the BLE_Beacon example to BlueNRG-1 and run it, then '・'(dot?) was output every 1sec.from UART. I couldn't find where this output is written in the source code, so if anyone knows, please let me know.

In my channel hopping application the radio is configured to start RX following any frequency change. However the frequency change may be followed by a TX instead so I may need to abort the RX soon after issuing CMD_RX from READY. Table 50 gives the response time for READY -> LOCK_RX -> RX as 111 us.AFAIK, depending on whether the radio is in LOCK_RX or RX, CMD_READY or CMD_SABORT is required to transition the radio back to READY in preparation for CMD_TX. There is a potential race condition here between querying the current state which could return LOCK and issuing CMD_READY instead of CMD_SABORT. This leads to the radio not accepting the CMD_READY from the RX state and CMD_TX later also failing.Is there a reliable way to abort the RX without looping to get the current state?What states can be reported in MC_STATE0 during the state transition from READY to RX?

@I'm new to BlueNRG. I have choosen BLE_SerialPort_Master_Slave project for my project. I need to connected with my Master(Mobile app) and receive data from the app. I would like to create a new service which is similar to the existng Add_SerialPort_Service(). Here I have created a new service function named Add_Travel_Service(). The code inside the travel_service is same as serialport_service function. Here I just want to see, how to create a new service.
