I recently purchased the STEVAL-MKI109V3 motherboard and the STEVAL-MKI217V1 adapter board. After some setup, I managed to get the Uni GUI to work. However, I'm struggling to understand how to obtain real-time data from the system for further processing, such as calculating absolute orientation angles.My ultimate goal is to utilize the IMU sensor on the adapter board along with the sensor fusion software provided by the motherboard. I aim to integrate both components into a device I am designing, which will be powered by the nRF52840 microcontroller.I would greatly appreciate any guidance or resources that could help me achieve real-time data acquisition and leverage the full potential of the IMU sensor and sensor fusion software in my project.

I am looking to build a visual model of the human cochlea and was hoping to use the Adruino Nano 33 Sense which has a MP34DT06J microphone integrated.  I can't find the frequency range in the documentation, but I am not an electrical engineer--so maybe it's there, but I don't understand the units being displayed.  Ideally I would be able to pickup the full human hearing range (12hz to 28khz) so I can visualize this.  I am not as concerned about accuracy since I will only be mapping this to 160 leds in a spiral (the shape of the cochlea).    Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I tried to set up a project and to do the calibration of the sensor IIS2MDC on my B-U585I-IOT02A Board I want to use MotionMCNow the floating-point-ABI ist set to Hardware implementation and the Middleware used is the MotionMC Library MotionMC_CM33F_wc32_ot_hard.a But when I use the function MotionMC_Initialize(sampletime, enable) it ends up in an infinite loop. What solutions could I try to solve this?

What is Wraparound functions in LSM6DSO32? how to implement it?Do you have example code?I am using TI microcontroller TMS570LC4357

Hello, We are seeking a development board that has a compact IMU sensor (maximum dimension: 4mm) that includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer, along with firmware for embedded sensor fusion. Do you have any recommendations for us? We have used a variety of boards containing IMU sensors from different vendors, but we have not succeeded in obtaining stable yaw angle data without drift. If there is a board with a compact sensor that has all three sensing modalities and even an integrated sensor fusion firmware, that would be best I think.  Based on inputs from a ST support rep, I looked up STEVAL-MKI245KA evaluation board containing the ISM330BX IMU but, it does not seem to have a magnetometer. I am not sure if this IMU is still able to provide accurate pitch, roll, and yaw data in spite of the absence of a magnetometer. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance,Satish 

Hello Everyone!!!I am using STM32F401CBU6 controller along with 2 sensors ie., (ISM330DLC & ISM303DAC) in my project. I have included motionfx library and getting Roll, Pitch, Yaw and Heading, but the heading is not getting calibrated and values are also changing continuously. i am using datalog fusion latest updated example code from X-cube mems1 with reference to UM2220.I have tried to to rotate the  sensor in all the possible directions to get it calibrate but it is not at all getting calibrated.Here is the data that i have logged, find the attached.@Petr S  or anyone please have a look and help me out!!!!regards,ANIL.

I want to use the L3GD20 gyroscope on my development board. But I didn't understand what I should do and I couldn't find an example on the internet. I know it communicates via SPI, but I could not send or read data. Can you please help me in detail?

Hello Everyone!I am using ISM303DAC sensor in my project and facing an issue with Pitch value.  I have used MotionMC library and  calibrated the Magnetometer for heading. and also it got calibrated. As MotionEC_Run() function output consists of Euler angles i have printed those(roll, pitch) angles too...then i have observed one thing that if there a change in only roll axis then Pitch axis is not getting effected. but if pitch axis is changing then roll axis angles are also getting changed.                                 Movement only over Roll Axis ------ Pitch Angle is not changing and constant --->which is OK.                               Movement only over Pitch Axis------ Roll Angle is getting changed and it shot ---->Not OK as there is no any change in Roll axis it has to be constant right. Hi all,  Would it be possible to have an 8x8 array of capacitive pressure sensors connected to the Qvar pins by an analogue multiplexer.I would like the qvar to effectively scan across the sensing array. 

Hi, it seems there is a typo in AN5755 at page 8 ch.4.2 it says: "Moreover, Qvar data can be stored in FIFO (by setting the QVAR_BATCH_EN bit to 1 in the COUNTER_BDR_REG1 (0Bh) register)". This statement doesn't apply to LSM6DSV16X, because it is not possible to redirect QVAR data out to FIFO. It applies only to LSM6DSV16BX at ch4.3.regards

Hello everyone,I want to connect my pressure sensor (ilps28qsw) and have written the code in C and using I2C. If I use the example code as in the following link, and do nothing else, it works. For example, if I pull the variables (see below) out of this function and make them usable outside of the function (ilps28qsw_read_data_polling()) or want to execute other functions before or after this code, I get an error.I cannot understand this behavior. I am currently working on a project involving the SensorTile.Box and am seeking assistance with utilizing its gyroscope and accelerometer sensors to determine location in the absence of GPS signals. Specifically, I am interested in processing the sensor data on a PC, similar to how data is managed in the ST BLE Sensor App on mobile devices.Could you please provide guidance on the following:Data Monitoring: How can I monitor sensor data from SensorTile.Box on a PC? Are there any recommended software tools or libraries for this purpose?Integration: How can I integrate and process gyroscope and accelerometer data to determine location? Hi,I'm evaluating the ISM330DHCX by connecting it on a board with a linux device (imx8) through I2C. I am using LSM6DSOX for my project. As far as I understand, meta-classifiers need to be separate for each function (for my project). But I cannot separate two_hands_free and pushing_chart functions. I think this would pose a problem for machine learning. Is this really the case? Will this cause a problem? What should I do to separate these two? And also how is the meta-classifier determined? Should I collect more data to separate these two?

I am making my own wake up interrupt program based on P16 of the application note, and it is working fine. However, I noticed that I have to enable IIS3DWB to use the wake up function, which increases the overall standby current of the system by about 1.1mA. That is not what I was expecting, as I thought that the wake-up function would run at a very low current.So is there a way to reduce the current consumption of the IIS3DWB when using its wake-up function?

Hello, I am encountering strange samples in the raw data using the IIS3DWB accelerometer. I can make several requests for raw data without issues, but at a certain point, I receive data with incorrect values at specific sample positions. Whenever an error in the raw data is observed, strange behavior can also be seen in the RMS data. Even without vibration, the sensor maintains a DC level in the RMS values. This persists for a few minutes and sometimes a few hours before returning to normal. This error has a well-defined behavior in the raw data, with a value of 2560 observed every 32 samples for the gravitational axis, and a value of 0 in the raw data of the other axes also every 32 samples. The frequency and duration of this behavior are exactly the same as the behavior described for the RMS data. Sometimes I go several days without observing this problem, but sometimes it happens more than once a day. Is this behavior a known issue? Do you have any tips on where

Hi,We are using LSM6DSL for one of our products and in that we have noticed that the Z-axis Accelerometer deviates due to change in temperature for a stable orientation as shown below which is affecting pitch of the product  by -1 to -2 deg.    The IMU is placed near a LED driver which changes its brightness from 20% to 100%. The layout image shows the distance (7.5mm shown in thin silver line) between the thermal vias of the LED driver(which is in bottom layer) and IMU (in top layer). The entire board is potted with a thermally conductive epoxy material.As shown in the graph,1. Initially from 0 to 20 sec it is in 20% brightness (LED driver dissipates less heat) at 130 milliG.2. At 20sec, we switch the driver to 100%. We see that the due to sudden change in temperature by 1 deg the Z-axis accelerometer immediately shifts down by 30 milliGs (130mG to 100mG) and then slowly tend towards to its original value.3. At 225sec we switch the driver back to 20% and the Z-axis

Hello, I'm desparately trying to find a diagram that would explain how the different sensors (accelerometers, magnetometer, gyros...) are oriented on the IKS4A1. We can find individual axis information for each sensor on their specific datasheet, but I don't know how they are integrated into the IKS4A1. I could figure that it seems that the lsm6dsv16x is upside down (Z pointing down) but it's harder to figure it out for the magnetometer (LIS2MDLSensor).Also, another thing : it seems that the Quaternion values given by the lsm6dsv16x have their Z and X axis swapped. I think that a yaw rotation (Z axis) of the board gives a roll information on the output quaternion.Does anyone has any more information ? Thank you for the help.

I would like the ability to generate an interrupt be programmed into the embedded flash so that I can use STHS34PF80 without a microcontroller. Is this possible?

Dear ST- Community, we are currently implementing a new function to our existing device with the following function: We want to detect, when the device is tilted. This function is not time critical at all. The most important fact is energy consumption. We do have a LIS2DS12 accelerometer, connected via I2C. We want to collect ACC data with 12,5 Hz / LP for the max. time before we readout the FIFO. At the moment, we readout the FIFO every 20 sec. This get us ~250 samples. The problem is, that if the time between readouts is longer than 9 sec., we can not read all samples (we take the FIFO_SRC reg. resp. the FIFO_Samples reg.). Our time delay is 10 sec., we expect 125 samples, the first time we get 125 samples, after the next readout only 17 samples afterwards again 125 samples and so on. If the time gets even longer, it looks like this:  FIFO Size: 113 Status Reg (0x27): 1 // readout FIFO SAMPLES (0x30): 4 // check remaining samples // delay 10 sec.FIFO Size: 123 Status Reg (0

Hello -I have an Accel 28 board made by Mikroe that has the LIS2HH12 device. As per the Mikroe data sheet I set J1,J2,J3 to positions 2-3. I have removed J5 so that line isn't pulled up.I've got the first 6 pins on the lower left up connected to my NUCLEO-L476RG development board.GND, 3V3, SDI, SDO, CLK and CS. I have confirmed CS, CLK and SDI have normal and good signals. Yet, SDO is distorted, almost non-existent, but does return the correct value occasionally. Please see scope pix attached. Top is SDI/MOSI, bottom is SDO/MISO. I've also tried unplugging SDO pin from Accel 28 to STM32 to confirm it's not a loading issue. On this test the function did return the correct value of 0x41 to "Who am I" (0xF) command.It's clear to see this is a peculiar signal and not normal at all. Also attached is Accel 28 schematic.Could you please offer any suggestion as to what the problem might be? Have you seen this before?Thanks! 

Hi, I am using the LIS2DW12 on my board communicating over I2C with the nRF52840.  I have not yet been able to communicate with the accelerometer at all, and all attempts to read or write end the same way (see screenshot)I have the CS and SA0 lines both pulled up to VDD, and VDDIO is tied to VDD because they are the same voltage, 1.8V.  Could there be an issue with VDD and VDDIO being the same rail?
