Hello,I am wondering if the presence of gel in the LPS28DFW makes it more susceptible to vibration than LPS22DF. These sensors will be in a vibration environment, and I'm concerned that the vibrating gel in the sensor will negatively affect the pressure readings. Is this a valid concern, or will the gel have negligible affects compared to the LPS22DF?Thank you.

Hello all,I want to use FIFO to store my acceleration data.When FIFO is not configured, the data I read from OUT_X_L, OUT_X_H, OUT_Y_L, OUT_Y_H, OUT_Z_L, OUT_Z_H are okay. By "not configured" I mean FIFO_CTRL_REG = 0x00, which is the default value that corresponds to the bypass mode.But when I write FIFO_CTRL_REG = 0x40 to select "FIFO mode" (or any other mode, such as "stream mode"), the data from OUT_*_* are frozen: I always get the same values every time.I didn't even enable FIFO on CTRL_REG5 (bit FIFO_EN=0), nor did I enable anything on CTRL_REG3 (to allow interrupts triggered by FIFO overrun or FIFO watermark).When I do enable FIFO on CTRL_REG5 and the interrupts on CTRL_REG3, but keep FIFO_CTRL_REG = 0x00, acceleration data are still okay.When I configure everything properly by enabling FIFO, selecting any mode that is not "bypass mode" and its interrupts, acceleration data are frozen.So the issue really seems to be selecting anything

Hi,we are working on integrating this sensor to our device. We would like to make it work as human detection in front of our device. I am testing this sensor using "STEVAL-MKI231KA" board without lens connected to our development board via I2C and I have problem to make it properly work with cover glass. I have tested thin and also thick transparent cover glass (1mm and 4mm) and the sensor's behavior is the same in both cases. Presence data from the sensor are not changing when human steps in front of the sensor even when the human is very close to the sensor.Behavior without cover glass is as expected. It detects human in far and close distances without any problem.Can you please advise me how to solve this? Does the sensor support some sort of calibration with cover glass?

Hi!I have a STEVAL-STWINKT1B sensor running the HSDatalog firmware. I am interfacing with it using an USB cable via linux and a modified version of the "cli_example" relying on the "HSDatalog.h" interface, which I am compiling using cmake. When running the program from the command line terminal, the program runs fine. However, if the recording is prematurely interrupted for some reason, the sensor can get stuck, and it is impossible to start a new connection with it. The simple solution to this is just by pressing the reset-button on the sensor, which after a few seconds solves the problem. However, I would like to be able to perform this reset without any manual interference. So my question is:Is it possible to trigger a reset of the sensor by either a command through the USB/Cpp-code, or by embedding some kind of code-trigger in the firmware? (For example whenever the sensor receives power from the USB).Thank you

In our project we are using ism330dhcx, we are only using accelerometer, i want know how to process x,y and z axis data to get resultant.

I am using the LSP22HB on an I2C bus. I can read the "who am i" register and get the expected value. I can also read various configuration registers and see the default values. So, I believe I am communicating with the device.I don't set any registers since it seems the default values have the device in power down mode which is needed for ONE_SHOT operation. To get the pressure and temperature values I do the following steps:1. Write to CTRL_REG2 the value 0x11. This sets the IF_AUTO_INC and the ONE_SHOT bits. I am under the impression the ONE_SHOT bit starts the operation to get the pressure and temperature.2. I loop on reading the CTRL_REG2 and check the ONE_SHOT bit waiting for it to go to zero. This should indicate that the readings are now available.3. I then read the pressure and temperature registers. I get values but they are not correct. I have tried both multi-register access to get all the values in one I2C interaction and looping through and just getting one pressure and te

I have been trying to configure the steval mk1221v1 which is a breakout board for the lsm6dso32x imu sensor using spi 4-wire interface but can't make to work. I am not sure if i am making the right connections. I am sure I have connected the scl, sda, sdo and cs correctly but not sure what needs to be done with the vddio , sdx, scx pins. Do they need to be connected to 3.3v or left hanging. Moreover there are 2 sets of sdx and scx pins the reason for which i dont understand. Any help would be good. I have timestamp counter enabled and batching to FIFO with decimation=1. Hi,We notice that LIS3DH accelerometer has multiple mode which can be utilized to be used on low power mode for single/double tap detection. Hi,I am using examples from the github repo to test accelerometer. I can read device id from both accel and magnetometer. Also I can read back the registers I set.  However, when it comes to read accelerometer, I read same values from all axis of the accelerometer such as A0A0A0 or 808080 and so on. Another behavior I observed is sometimes, boot register stuck as 1 after I use to BOOT bit from CTRL_REG5_A.Also I read very low values from magnetometer and 0 from temperature sensor.Is there any idea what is going wrong?Thanks.

I'm attempting to use the LIS2DE12 in perhaps the simplest configuration: To directly poll the X,Y,Z registers as needed. I'm using the I2C bus. At this point, I've added some debug checks, so the current process looks like this: 1. On wakeup, I read the WHO_AM_I register to verify I'm talking to the correct device. I am.2. (debug) I read all the read/writeable registers so I can see what they are. All of them match the documentation's default values except CTRL_REG1 (0x20). Instead of the expected response of 0x07, I get 0x01. 3. I write to CTRL_REG1 (0x20) the value 0x5F. According to the docs, this should enable X, Y, Z, enable the device, and set the rate to 100Hz4. (debug) I read all the readable values. All other writeable registers are still defaults, but the CTRL_REG1 register has changed... but it doesn't contain 0x5F... it contains 0x02 !? Also interesting is the X, Y, and Z all contain non-zero values at this point, but the STATUS register reads 0x00 (no data, no o

Hi all, I am implementing SFLP in ArduinoIDE using the board library and examples and have modified the code to also batch the accelerometer and gyroscope data in the FIFO buffer, however this creates a consistent delay in the data transmission which is not there when I am solely batching the SFLP game rotation vector.  I am trying to get the raw data (with timestamp included) from a few IIO devices (hardware sensors, such as accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer and barometer) mounted on a linux platform. I was able to get the data for the accelerometer and for the gyroscope using the libiio library within a C++ code (attached below). However, for the magnetometer and for the barometer it seems (I'm not expert in this field) they require (or have already set-up) some kind of trigger. For this reason the code I wrote cannot be used as it is for those two sensors. I do not need any trigger as I'd like just to get the flow of data without any "event" to start the logging. However I don't know if it's better to disable (if possible) the trigger or somehow to set it up in someway. To make it more clear,Here the result of the iio_info command (the devices of interest are ilps22qs and iis2mdc, respectively the barometer and the magnetometer).  Hi everyone, I have an STM32L4 series-based board with an embedded LIS3DH sensor. I've written code to read temperature values from it, configuring all settings as per the datasheet. However, I'm having trouble obtaining the exact temperature value from the ADC3_L registers. Below I attach the code also:1. I am enabling the temp sensor and after I am using LIS_read_ADC function to get the value stored on it. 

GreetingsI am trying to utilise the FIFO of the LIS2DW12, in bypass-continuous mode, which requires the latched-interrupt bit (LIR) in CTRL3 register to be set, as stated in the application note AN5038.In the ISR for the FIFO_FTH, I am reading the output registers, resetting the fifo by putting it into bypass mode, then putting it into bypass-continuous mode. The interrupt to trigger the chip is a wake-up event.I want to also utilise the inactivity/activity functionality of the accelerometer, allowing it to save power. This requires the LIR bit of CTRL3 register to be in a reset state. How does one propose I work around the contradiction of either setting the LIR bit or not?@Federica Bossi

Hi,I have successfully connected the LIS2MDL magnetometer to my reference board via I2C, and it is detected. However, after enabling the necessary kernel configurations and device tree, it indicates that the VDD supply is not found, and it resorts to using a dummy regulator supply. Additionally, there is a probing issue. Hello,have designed in an LSM303AGR to replace an obsolete NXP chip, it used in I2C mode at 3.3V, and there are twopins that is not used, i.e. pin 7 - INT_MAG/DRDY and pin 12 - INT_1_XL.Upon testing, when the complete system is in sleep mode, we have found that on some units,the current consumption of the LSM303 may be up to 1.5 mA. By either warming or cooling the LSM303 currentgoes down to almost zero.Otherwise, everything works fine, and the LSM303 is waking up the instrument automatically when the user ismoving it, and also changes its state when moved close to a magnet...It seems like one or both of these pins may go into floating state explaining the higher current draw, what is STs recommendation here?I can't find anything in the datasheet (DS) on how the I/O of these pins are designed and how to handleunrouted pins on this chip... (The layout is also extremely area constrained so there is not room for pullups for both unused pins)Are there any register setti

Hi,I'm using an MP23DB02MM digital mic on the CCA02M2 eval board and using the PDM2PCM library. When I have no sound into the microphone the noise floor I see in the data from the PDM2PCM output is around 1,000 counts peak to peak noise. I'm struggling to understand how to use the datasheet SNR and Sensitivity figures to get a noise floor figure. My calcs make the noise I'm getting look really high, even considering there might be a little tiny bit of acoustic noise getting in. What should I expect roughly as a peak to peak noise from this setup? I'm running at 48KHz output PCM rate with decimation of 64.ThanksJulian 

Hi there,We are testing the ASM330LHH with the motherboard STEVAL-MKI193V1 and use Unico-GUI to collect data.  ODR was set to be 6667 Hz and easy configuration was used. The excitation was a 1kHz sin wave but the data saved using Unico-GUI showed a frequency of ~967 Hz. would really appreciate any help to trouble shoot?  Thanks
