Hi, is the sensitivity in the datasheet (-38 dBV +-1) normalized to 1 Pa (e.g. -38 dB re 1V/Pa)?

I saw there are self test related code in the driver.What's the purpose of self test and when do we need to do self test? Thanks,

Can several STHS34PF80 IR sensors be used simultaneously, when placed not far from each other, say on the same PCB? If STHS34PF80 infrared sensors are completely passive devices, there should not be any limitations of the distance between them, even if their fields of view are intersecting, right? 

Hello, i have searched for this information, but couldnt find it anywhere. Whats the unit of the measured of the MEMS IMP23ABSU mic? I have used the STEVAL-STWINKT1B with the FP-SNS-DATALOG1 from which i created several .csv files that i now need to analyse. I have exported the values as "raw values" (which is an option you can choose when running the script of the dataloger).So far i have checked the DeviceConfig.json from the dataloger and found out that the unit is  "unit": "Waveform". Hello!I've working with AMICAM1 module together with STM32L476RG. By default in example 16 bit resolution is used. AD1974 that used in AMICAM1 has possibility to measure with 24 bit resolution. I tried to extend the buffers and config 24 or even 32 bits ti the SAI, USB descriptiod and AMICAM configuration but nothing helps. Could anyone support please how to reconfigure the project correctly? 

Hello everyone. I'm working on a vibration sensor with RMS velocity output based on measurements from an accelerometer with +-16g maximum acceleration range. There is a simple equation for calculation RMS velocity range and that is : VRMS=Apeak/2*pi*f*sqrt(2). Apeak would be 16g. The bandwidth that i want to cover is 10...1000Hz. So the RMS velocity would be variable based on frequency range. Now i want to know that what would be the maximum RMS velocity in mm/s for this range of frequency and +16g? As it seen from above equation it should be something like 17.658mm/s, but i have a vibration sensor from PCH company as my reference and they declared in their datasheet that their maximum acceleration range is +-18g and at the same time they declared this device can measure maximum 100mm/s RMS velocity in 10...1000Hz frequency range. I'm pretty confused about these two issues. I really appreciate if anyone can describe some useful hints about the issue. Thank you.

Does anyone know if the LIS2DH12 is ok in a molded application? We have one where we are putting it in a device completely encased in low-pressure molded rubber. The issue we are seeing is that at power up, sometimes the sensor doesn't power up properly and draws a significant amount of current (up to 1.2mA). Re-power it and works fine. If they power up correctly, they work great. If they don't then the unit will never wake from sleep. The sensor is programmed to generate an interrupt on movement. The biggest issue is that as soon as we cut back the rubber, it is very difficult to get them to fail. Temperature during molding is about 165 degrees F, so heat shouldn't be an issue. Material is not conductive, so should be no issues there. Looking for ideas. One thought someone had was that material shrinkage while cooling was causing issues with the sensor. 

I am currently working with a STEVAL-MKI109v3 evaluation card and a STEVAL-MKI217v1 module. I am using UNICO-GUI to collect data from the module, and then processing the data in Python using various filters such as Madgwick, Kalman, and Mahony to enhance accuracy.My goal is to calculate horizontal distances in centimeters based on the data collected. I have written Python code for this purpose, but the results are not accurate. For example, when I measure a jump of 91 cm, my calculated result is 90 cm. Similarly, for a 54 cm jump, I get 46 cm. Interestingly, some values yield good results, while others produce excessive results. For instance, for a 77 cm jump, the calculated distance is 112 cm.It's worth noting that I have manually measured these jumps before testing my prototype.this pic is showing a jump for 66 cm but the result as you see show 104 cm I am wondering if it is possible to accurately calculate horizontal distances using the STEVAL-MKI109v3 evaluation card and STEVA

I am using lsm6dso32x.An5629 Datasheet Section 8 FSM Configuration Example implemented only Accelerometer.I don't understand.It seems that you did not set what data(gyro or accel) you use with FSM, but I don't understand how it was used as an Accelerometer.How do I use it as a gyroscope?Also, Can you tell me specifically how to create the Threshold? I don't quite understand.Thank you

Hi, We are using STEVAL-STWINKT1B board with a BlueNRG-M2SA BLE module.We want to change the physical layer of the Bluetooth module to utilize bandwidth diversity. But we couldn't figure out how to do this.we have seen "hci_le_set_phy" command in one of posts but we are unable to find that command in latest x-cube-ble2. Is there a way to do it?Thanks.

I have a custom setup which contains a microcontroller STM32L412RB and a LSM6DSV.I tried READ the WHO_AM_I register (thanks for implementing that) using the driver LSM6DSV(https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/lsm6dsv-pid).Yet, I get back a 0x0 and not desired value. I need to observe the signals in oscilloscope, that transmission is happening properly. I also need to get the data from Accelerometer and Gyroscope registers.   Can anyone help me through this..?

I used the lsm6dso32x_read_data_polling example and got the same result as above.(with SPI)Is this the correct value?And when I checked the values ​​using Unico GUI tool, I got the same values ​​as above.Although the values ​​are similar to the example, they are slightly different. Hi,My MKI239A has been unrecognised by Unico 9.16 for weeks. The firmware of motherboard MKI109V3 is 3.58.2 which should be latest for windows (as shown in screenshot).By selecting MKI239A as MKI236A (ASM330LHB_ASIL_B) in Unico, the connection was smooth without error messages such as "who_am_I register not match", even though no readings were shown (see screenshot below).After that, I can even go back to Unico's first page and select my device as MKI239A. This time was also smooth without errors, but again, there were no readings...If I do not select MKI236 first, I can never avoid the error messages, which seems weird...I was wondering whether there is something wrong with the Unico or with my MKI239A?Should I replace it? Hi,May I kindly clarify whether MKI239A adapter is compatible with MKI109V3 motherboard?From MKI239A's website and Unico's GUI (device selection list), it seems that it is compatible.But from MKI109V3's "Tools&Software" page and UM2116 (Sec.3 - Supported MEMS adapter boards), MKI239A is not shown in the list...I am a bit confused... In my case, when I chose the adapter, an error popped up, saying that "adapter has not been recognised, and the who_am_I register value does not match".This scenario does not change even if I have updated the firmware of the motherboard to the latest (3.58.2) following the user manual UM2116 (2.2.1-2.2.2) of the motherboard, changed into another USB cable, and pushed the adapter into the socket as deep as possible. My Unico is also latest version for windows (9.16).I also measured the voltage between VDD/VDDIO and GND when the adapter is inserted into the socket, and the resulting 1.8V makes sense according to the datasheet&nbsp

Hi @Federica Bossi , I am trying to conduct data collection using STEVAL-MKI239A (for IMU LSM6DSV) and its motherboard STEVAL-MKI109V3. Following UM2116, I first installed the latest version of Unico (v9.16.0) for windows 10, and downloaded STM32CubeProgrammer for firmware upgrade. In STM32CubeProgrammer, even though I was trying to enter DFU mode, by "pressing button BT2 before supplying the board and release it when LED D6 lights up". But on my device monitor, the "serial device" only changed to "STM32 BOOTLOADER" rather than "STM device in DFU mode"... Anyway, the following steps 3-6 in Sec 2.2.2 of UM2116 works and by choosing ProfiMEMSToolV3.58.2_00_08000000.bin, the latest firmware seemed to be installed.After disconnecting from STM32CubeProgrammer, I unplugged the motherboard and pushed the adapter into its socket. I have purchased the SensorTile.box Pro from Mouser, and the device is excellent to work with on coding. I have loaded 0x0000000 with bin file default from F:\ST_SensorTile_Box_Pro\STM32CubeFunctionPack_STBOX1_V1.5.0\Projects\STWIN.box\Applications\DefaultFw\Binary\DefaultFw.binThe SensorTile.box Pro does not work and is unable to access the Android to start the Dice or Compass demo.How can I get the SensorTile.box Pro back on the day I purchased it on July 27, 2023.Best Regards,Rob

We need some guidance regarding the ultrasound AFEs for our device.Our application involves generating signals from a depth of 3-10 cm and imaging within a frequency range of 5 to 10 MHz. In this regard, we were wondering if ST offers any components that are compatible with our requirements. Hello Team,Recently I bought Sensortile board from ST.  I tried to interface the LSM6DSM gyroscope and accelerometer sensor with STM32L476 microcontroller through SPI half duplex master, but I'm not able to read the device ID or 'Who Am I' register address in LSM6DSM.  I hope SPI is working fine it seems, but not able to receive the device ID.  It is returning constantly 0xFF instead 0x6A.  Here I attached the source code of my project, please go through and let me know the solution to interface this module.  Because of this problem I've stuck and I don't know how to proceed further, so please let me know the solution as soon as possible.

There is precious little guidance for using Unico-GUI with external sensors on the Sensor-Hub of the ISM330DHCX. The Unico-GUI with the ProfiMEMS tools and the ISM330DHCX daughtercard doesn't seem to properly configure the sensor hub to enable communications with the external sensor.How does one configure the Unico-GUI on profiMEMS to enable the Sensor Hub to write/read data on the external sensor? It seems the STM32F401 micro should be responsible for configuring mode2 on the ISM330DHCX. How does one convince it to do so?I'm monitoring the signals on the i2c bus and I see start/stop signals, but NO data transfer, despite having setup the Sensor Hub Registers.I believe each accelerometer data ready should trigger the commands in the Sensor hub to write the read data command and read 2 bytes of sensor data into the FIFO. Not happening.I must be missing something.

Hello Everyone!I am working on an application where I have to read the temperature sensor once every minute, and I would like to put the sensor in power down mode when I don't need to read the temperature.Details:1) I am using an STEVAL-MKI190V1 board2) I am measuring the the current on VDD only (VDD_IO is connected directly to 3.3V) with an STLINK-V3PWR board set at 3.3V out, and the STM Cube Monitor Power software.3) I am controlling the eval board via an STM32L011K Nucleo board4) Communicating via SPI, 4 wires, nothing else attached to the eval board (other than power and gnd, of course).5) I am using the MEMS1 drivers6) I've turned off the pull-up resistors on CS and SDO, but that doesn't really matter because I'm measuring the current on VDD only. So I tried to put the sensor in power down mode by writing a 0x00 in the CTRL1 register, to set ODR to power down, MODE to low power and also LP_MODE to LP mode 1, and I was expecting some 50nA of current, but instead I'm measuring
