Hello,I am experiencing a port fault issue with my Steval-MKI109v3 board which is equipped with an LSM6DSV16x sensor. Despite following the tutorial, I cannot locate the St virtual port on my device. Additionally, I have updated my drivers based on the instructions in the video, but to no avail. As a result, I am considering replacing the board, as I suspect that my current board may be defective. How can I request a replacement?Regards,Fehmi

HiI was wondering if there are any examples for using the Sensor Fusion Low Power Algorithm inside a LSM6DSV16X. I would like to retrieve the current Heading, Pitch and Roll information. Alternatively I'd also be happy with an example explaining how to get the Quaternion values from the SFLP. Anything regarding the SFLP would be nice. The examples do not outline any of the SFLP features (at least I was unable to find anything except the calls for directly manipulating the registers).

I'm currently trying to build a custom PCB using LSM6DSO. I just have few questions about the pins I don't use. I have no need for SPI communication, interrupts and VDD, not VDDIO cuz I need to power it through my RPi. I only need I2C communication and I need the PCB to be as small as it can get (like 1.6 cm in width, 2.4 cm in length), so I thought of connecting the unused pins, which are VDD, INT2, SCX, SDX, SDO/SA0 in this case to the ground with capacitors and only have the pins for I2C for soldering. The X's on the pins mean I should leave them unconnected.My question is, are there any pins on the schematics I made that should not be connected to the ground and should rather leave them unconnected after making their pins? I am very much new to circuit. Any advice, recommendation or anything helpful is very welcome.

I am reading quaternions from the SFLP and converting to yaw, pitch and roll (YPR). The results are remarkably stable and accurate! I noticed though when performing some simple testing with the sensor on a breadboard and the breadboard flat on a tabletop that the YPR values return NaN when the yaw is ~180 degrees. I need to investigate further the individual byte values from the FIFO under this condition but I am pretty sure this is due to the halffloat-to-float conversion. Are you aware of any such problem or have you seen this before, and is there a recommanded work around?

Hi!I'm exploring the X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 with the IIS2MDC magnetometer.My purpose is read the output data, but I haven't even been able to read the temperature. I'm using I2C through PB8 and PB9 pins, and I have communication cuz' the sensor responds to the command "Who Am I"After hours of trying, I thought I would read configuration registers A, B and C and I noticed that these are not being affected with my previous writing.Even worse, register A always reads bits MD0 and MD1 to 1, which means idle mode. Could the board be locked for use without libraries? The same thing happens with the rest of the sensors.

Hello,I'm looking to see if there is a maximum value for the sleep-to-wake interrupt register on the LIS2DE12. I do see +/- 2g, 4g, 8g, 16g as standard values, but is it okay to set a threshold value to +/-30g, 25g or 20g?Thanks!

Hi,We were looking at the LIS3MDL sensor. Apparently it is a magnetoresistive sensor. When we examined other magnetoresistive sensors in the market we have seen that they need set/reset circuits in order to compensate for the disturbances in the magnetic domains of magnetoresistive sensors. However, in the datasheet of LIS3MDL we couldn't see anything about it. Does LIS3MDL require an external set/reset circuit or is it already in the chip?

Hi,I am using a STEVAL-MKI227KA on the expansion board IKS01A3 because I saw on the datasheet that it is compatible. The expansion board is connected to a Nucleo-F401RE Motherboard. Hello,I tested out the QVar using Unico GUI with the MKI227KA kit and the motherboard MKI109V3. It worked until I tested out afterwards the Sensortile box PRO using algobuilder and Unicleo GUI. Since then when I tried using back Unico GUI it shows me an error message : What I tried to fix it:-I uploaded the firmware (ProfiMEMSToolV3.53.3_00_08000000.bin) back into the MKI109V3 motherboard using Cubeprogrammer. -I tried switching the MKI109V3 motherboard with a brand-new one with the exact same reference and the same message still appears after initialization.I am unsure why I'm getting this error message. Hey, We are using LSM6DSO in our Smart Bear to wake up the electronics when the Bear is moved. Now with the new electronics card having a LSM6DSO from a different batch does not work with the same Firmware and circuit design. Previously LSM6DSO was from batch no. 102 and new is from batch no. 235. What is the difference between batches? Any register settings we should do differently? What does QR-core reveal from the component? Any thoughts are appreciated  

Hi Guys, I've noted this post after some troubles with my dynamic tilt sensor using the LSM6DSOX or LSM6DSRX.Here to focus you on this aspect regarding the behaviour of my sensor.Starting from the fact that the firmware is exactly the same for both these primary sensors, I have a different behaviour on the output angle (different values) when the sensor is subjected to acceleration and angular rate variability.With an intensive shocks and scroll, the sensor using the LSM6DSOX is able to keep the output angles stable while the sensor with the LSM6DSRX makes the output angles crazy.This in not understandable from my side because the only part different is the primary sensor.The registers setting seem to be the same for both the chip. Honestly I'm getting a bit crazy about this weird behaviour.The only thing that I've noted is the Gy raw data during the shocks and scrolling are a bit different between the two sensors.For the LSM6DSRX the Gy data output seems having a mean value not equal

I'm observing steps in acceleration values (X, Y, and Z likewise) when chip temperature changes (as read through OUT_TEMP_L (20h), OUT_TEMP(21h)). A graph is appended below. It shows the temperature converted to Celsius in dark blue, scale on the right Y axis, and the acceleration values in Units, in light blue. Hello st-community,I am currently working with MEMS microphones (more precisely: MP34DT05TR-A). For reading in the data I use the DFSDM, which also works as far as possible, because I noticed when evaluating the data using an FFT that there is a very high peak (see picture) at 0Hz. Presumably this is the DC component of the microphone or? Now I would like to remove this by filtering. Is this possible by a clever configuration of the DFSDM module inCubeMX or do I need another library? Or do I have to do this via hardware? Unfortunately I could find nothing about if the filtering is possible via DFSDM-Configuration or a specific software library.I hope you can help me.Greetings,ChRegBrg 

I used LSM6DSV16BX for bone conduction detection. Based on the sample code and driver provided on github, everything related to the I2C works fine. But when it comes to the TDM part, I can not get any valid data from the tdm port.my platform is esp32 s3 with esp idf framework, which support the tdm reading generally. And i use the code just like reading the data from multiple microphones with TDM in this project. It does not work ( or look like a sound wave). The tdm port gives the steady wave-like data but have nothing to do with the sound)Is there any sample code about how to read/decode the tdm data from this module? and what is the correct data looks like?

Hello, I hope you are well.I had a query about the IMU ASM330LHH. I want to know whether the self-test functions of the internal accelerometer and gyroscope (see attached pictures) test the internal MEMS sensors or not. I have doubts whether these self-tests only internally generate standard values for acceleration and angular velocity without actually testing the MEMS.Thank you very much.

I set the CTRL1_XL (10h) of ISM330ISN  as 0xA4  ,so the ODR of ISM330 is 6667Hz. If I want transmit the whole data @6667Hz to external RS485 ，How tocontroll it ？Can I Using the ISM330 INT1 to trigger every transaction ？  or   independently transmit data using timer of STM32L431CCT6？ 

Hi, at my parttime job we are using the ISM330DHCX in an industrial sensor for measuring acceleration, gyro and inclination. In the description for ISM330DHCX is stated, that it can be also used for vibration measuring. In the datasheet (p.50/167 Table 46 for ex.) it is said that gyro bandwidth can go up to 6,66 kHz à LPF2 cutoff up to 3.33kHz, for the accelerometer on page 57/167 under Figure 23 is stated “The cutoff value of the LPF1 output is ODR/2 when the accelerometer is in high-performance mode and ODR up to 833 Hz. This value is equal to 780 Hz when the accelerometer is in low-power or normal mode.�?Based on that I have a question: how high is the usable bandwidth of the accelerometer (and the sensor overall) for vibration measurement? And what are possible bandwidth limitations if we reconfigure current ISM330DHCX sensors to use the maximal bandwidth? Kind regardsAnastasia

I recently bumped into an audio USB interface which might fits my needs : the STEVAL-MKI138V1. Indeed, I want to get the audio signals of 4 MEMS IM69D130 microphones onto my PC on Audacity, through a USB audio interface like the STEVAL-MKI138V1. However, this card is not produced anymore, and I have not found anything similar. Do you have any recommendations ?

Hello, I want to find some MEMS transducer for microphone for testing our readout IC for MEMS microphone No matter with single or differential output, but the product that I need is the transducer without input buffer, output amplifier and other. Is there any product that have only MEMS transducer(not piezoelectric, only capacitive) sealed by metal can? Metal can sealing is not necessary, the main parts that I want is MEMS transducer.   I saw some datasheet of STMicro's microphone devices, like "IMP23ABSU" the "4.1 IMP23ABSU schematic hints" diagram in its datasheet shows the schematic of microphone and interface circuit. I can't guess there is other circuit components like amplifier, buffer, charge pump in IMP23ABSU. Is IMP23ABSU have only MEMS transducer without other amplifier, buffer, charge pump... etc? And, is it same for other analog MEMS microphone that shows like IMP23ABSU in datasheets?   Do anyone know the parts with only MEMS microphone transducer?   Tha
