Hi,We're developing a PCB that can have multiple different I2C ICs assembled and have chosen the M24C02-RMC6TG EEPROM for board identification.In the datasheet, section 4.5, a note states no other device using the 1010 xxxx address can be connected to the same bus. The note also begins with "When using the DFN5 package:".I'm unsure whether this statement applies only for the DFN5 package or in general? (Datasheet snippet below)          One of the intended ICs that we plan to implement can be configured to have either 1010 011 or 1010 010 I2C address. Can this IC be on the same bus with this EEPROM? (With the address configured to not overlap with the other IC) Thanks in advance,Lazar

Hello,I am currently working on a CubeSat communication system using an STM32F746G Discovery board and HackRF One. The HackRF One is connected to the STM32 board via an OTG adapter. I am looking for any existing libraries or resources that can help interface the HackRF One with STM32.Has anyone worked on something similar, or is there any recommended library for this type of communication setup? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone,I’m seeking guidance on using the STEVAL-USBI2CFT as a voltage shifter (to 3.3V) and a communication bridge between my laptop and an MSP430 IC. According to UM3226, the STEVAL-USBI2CFT uses the FT260Q chip and should not require extra drivers. However, after connecting the board, Windows only registers it as a "USB Composite Device" and no COM port appears. A Python test resulted in the error: "could not open port 'COM3': FileNotFoundError."Also, the provided link to the STSW-WPSTUDIO software leads to a 404 error. Has anyone else faced this, and are there alternatives?Thanks in advance!

I can't find reference to this component, I'm trying to repair/understand the equipment.  Does anyone recognize this part? Secondly, I couldn't find any reference on the ST website about component identification markings.  A link or reference would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.  Galvin

Technically, on a practical level, how to integrate overcurrent detection (OC COMP) for dynamic adjustments into the FOC algorithm?

A 24 VDC, 10 A AC/DC converter design has been done using the eDesignSuite on the ST website. The converter gives a very stable output at 24 VDC. We did not encounter any problems when we used the converter at normal loads below 10 A. However, when we connect loads whose normal driving current is below 10 A but transient period current is above 10 A to the output of the converter, the converter protected itself by cutting off the output current. For example, when we tried to drive two LED bulbs together, with a normal driving current of 2.5 A and a startup transient period current of around 8 A, the converter cut off the output current and protected itself. At this point, our expectation is that the converter can tolerate short-term transient currents greater than 10 A. Although it is an excellent feature that the converter we manufactured using ST eDesignSuite protects itself by cutting off the output current at 10 A, this situation becomes a problem for loads with tran

Hello. I am a very beginner in STM32 and in electronics overall and I have a really big issue with Keil uVision5. I was following my tutorial, the guy in the video told me to create a project in CubeMX and then generate code and open in in Keil uVision. But when I opened it I got a LOT of errors. I when I press F7 in Keil uVision i get a error that says "registered ARM compiler version is not found in path ARMCLANG" When I enter the folders/extension tab in manage project items and try to set the arm compiler path the program just don't see neither the armCC.exe or ArmClang.exe. I tried to install different versions of ARM compiler (Now i downloaded version 506). Also when I enter the options for target tab I can only see two parameters that are "Xtal (MHz)" and "operating system". Please help me. I asked chatGPT to help but he just told me to use the target tab witch don't have anything in it 

What is the MSL level on this part? I don't see it on the datasheet?

I have two Sainsmart STM-5045 4.5a stepper drivers that i would like to get running, i had a pretty tough day last week with my machine and had to put this aside for a bit but i would like to see if i can salvage either of them today.The order of events went something like this. my machine (3x14x5 router homebuilt run from 48v Torroidal, parallell port bob, nema34(x) nema34(y) Anaheim automation 23md(z) on seperate 24v powersupply both X/Y were on STM-5045 Drivers. i have been wanting to replace the anaheim driver as it has been the bottleneck of my system and i want all my drivers on the same torroidal (no offense to ahaheim i should have chosen a more powerful drive) so i got another stm5045 in the mail the other day and ran wiring to my torroid/bob/and a 250oz/in nema 23, mounted and plugged the new driver in, ohm'd motor windings to be sure i had a good connection, flipped the switch and got holding torque, then about 1.5 seconds later, red light came on. i thought i must have some

Hello,I'm trying to set the voltage to 3.3V on my STEVAL-USBI2CFT adapter, but I'm unclear on how to do this. The user manual (UM3226) mentions setting the voltage via soldering jumper JP4. However, my board has seven solid pads labeled J8, J4, J5, J6, J7, J2, and J3, which don't correspond to the documentation.Could you please advise how to properly set the 3.3V output using these pads?Thanks in advance for your help!

We are using the STUSB4700 in our PD implementation as a source. We have encountered an issue where it seems like the output is constantly switched on/off/on/off with about 500ms on, 200ms off timing.Below is the schematic which connects to a USB type C connector and a SoM. Please note that we are aware that PD_1V2 should not be connected to the gates of the power FETs and we have patched this on the board we are testing with. Also, to make sure there is no interference from the SoM, the reset and alert line have been cut as well.So to summarize the behaviour:The input voltage is 5V and seems stable when no device is connected.We connect a USB PD enabled sink device through USB and see that the PD negotiation is working. The output is shortly as expected and device is charging.After about 500ms, the VBUS_EN_SRC is released which forces the fets to open and the output drops to 0V.After about 500ms this cycle repeats.The input voltage seems stable for the most part with about a 1.4V

Actually I’m interfacing emmc . when I 'm working with sd card it detects sd card , but when comes to emmc it doesn’t detects emmc card , so how to solve these issues and how to power up this emmc module and emmc doesn’t have card detect pin, so how to detect externally connected emmc MTFC8GAMALNA-AAT, so for intialization is there any thing we do by externally and internally. When I run lsblk command it gives internal emmc(processor)data , but I didn’t find external emmc data and detection.

Good morning,In a university project we are using an nRF24L01 chip to produce a signal, which is then split and modulated by means of other devices.The final stage of each of the split signals is a AD8341 chips which has a 50ohms differential output.This chip then feeds a ducky antenna via an SMA connector, and as per Analog Devices application notes, a balun is recommended. I was wondering if there's any hint about the performances of the BAL-NRF01D3, if placed at the output of the AD8341. Or, if there's any hint about being it strongly discouraged. Additionally, is there any data available about the phase unbalance of the BAL-NRF01D3? I remain available for clarification, thank you in advance and Best regards Francesco

I want to use the WiFi module IDW01M1 and/or IDW04A1. In both quick-Start-Guides I get the tip to download the "X-Cube-WiFi1 expansion software package for STM32Cube". Unfortunately all the Links for this file are broken/dead.Is this package compatible with the newest CubeMx? Is the middleware in other cube files integrated?Thanks in advanceChristian

Hello,I'm a french student in a 2 years intensive class to prepare engineering school entrance exam and I have to present a scientist project to this exam. I choose to work on transistor conduction and switching loss. My problematic is  " To what extent are switching and conduction losses depending on switching frequency ?" I'm willing to establish a "simple" theoretical model of a transistor able to link power losses to switching frequency.Moreover I'll do some measure and simulation to compare the results. Currently i decided to assimilate the transistor during the conduction phase to a high value resistor when its Off and to a low value resistor when it's On. This two value will be measure by an experiment. However i struggle to find an accurate model to estimate the power loss during the switching phase.  Do you have any idea on how to do it ?Or any document dealing with the subject ? Thanks for your helpHugo    &nbsp
