Hello. I'm working on a board that has an STM32F401CBU6 which interfaces with a SST25VF010A 1Mbit SPI flash memory. I'm having some trouble trying to enable writing of the IC and being able to confirm this by seeing a change in the status register. Memory datasheet .  As seen in the datasheet by sending the value 0x06 then pulling CE# high the chip should be write enabled which should flip the WEL bit in the status register to a 1. In my case this should mean the register value should be 0x02 since I initialise the status register to 0x00 to set BP0 and BP1 bits to 0 to disable protection of entire memory array.When I run this code I get this on RealTerm.Still the same 0x00 meaning the WEL bit was not changed when I tried to write enable. I'm not sure why this isn't working. I'm pretty sure the config_status_reg() and read_status_reg functions both work so maybe it's the write_enable function? But it's such a simple transaction I don't see how it could be wrong. Tha

Greetings and happy new year, ST folks, hope this message finds you well! I've got a ST33HTPHAHD8 and am hoping to track down its serial number.  Some documentation I've read suggests it might be available by way of an NV index or in the EK certificate's Subject Alternative Name structure.  The serial number certainly isn't included in the Alternative Name structure and I'm pretty sure it's not in an NV index. So, I'm hoping you might be able to provide some advice on how I can identify my TPM's serial number.  Oh, and for what it's worth, this is for proving out a zero-touch provisioning use case. thanks in advance!

Hello, I apologize if this is completely the wrong place to ask this question.  I've been trying to learn and soak up as much information as I can about PCB board design, components, etc through a restoration project on a very old hard drive.  But I am admittedly a novice here, and information on this chip seems so hard to find...I have a WD400BB that fails to spin up, and I purchased a donor PCB that matches it, however this one also fails to spin it up.  I've confirmed using a different PCB, with the same 4-pin motor interface that the physical motor is functioning, which shows that the issue is with the board(s).  What is curious is that both the original and the "new" board exhibit the same symptom (coincidence?).My troubleshooting so far has led me here.  I've been testing the motor controller, which is an ST L6262 2.6 chip.  I cannot find a datasheet on this component which has me stuck.  The closest one I found was the L6268, but it seems like

I simulated the SDA with IBIS model downloaded, but I realize there is mismatch comparing the result to the datasheet. It's stated with Cload 10pF, the tF SDA falling time is minimum 20ns and max 300ns.With the ibis model, the same Cload, the falling edge is only 1nsCould you please take a look at that. Thanks.

I have finally isolated an example of the error. The MKI 210 accelerometer + the test board is sitting attached to a NUC computer.  The entire setup has run for months with no problems at a REMOTE LOCATION that is very hard to get to without a lot of effort.  Using the software I wrote from your base program in C#, the program is telling me it cannot connect to the accelerometer.  I rebooted the computer over the net and it still gives the same errors.  Now I have trapped one, I downloaded UNICO-GUI to the computer and then ran the program and got the following error.  I checked on one of the accelerometers in my lab and it worked perfectly. THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET THIS ACCELEROMETER TO WORK IS TO COMPLETELY DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE FROM THE COMPUTER AND LET IT DIE FOR A MINUTE. THERE ARE NO OTHER TESTS I CAN PERFORM - I do not want to drive a long distance to plug and unplug a cable.  Is there a command I can send the board to

Hello everyone, i'm trying to add mouse and keyboard support to an embedded board based on STPC Elite CPU (pretty old). Sadly, the old STMCU forum is offline and i can't download STPC Elite documents and manuals anymore.The board i have, doesn't have any PS/2 port or any other kind of input device (except for i2c keys, which does not help).I think that the only way would be:-Add a Super I/O chip on the ISA bus: i don't know if it will require software modifications to the BIOS (that seems to be the evaluation one) or if it's just plug and play-Add a keyboard controller on the ISA bus Thanks to everyone :)

Hello everyone,Currently, I am using the Ubuntu 22.04 operating system. I'm having a problem: when I plug ST-link into my computer, the CH340 driver doesn't convert the USB port to a traditional COM port. Therefore, the Arduino IDE does not show the port to perform serial communication as usual. I tried installing STM32CuberProgrammer to check what the error port was, then I saw the /Dev/bus/USB/001/007 port. I also tried connecting to an Arduino mega 2560, when I checked, the port still showed /Dev/ttACM0. Thanks, everyone.

Hi, I have two pin connection questions, related to EMIF03-SIM02M8: 1) Are VDD pins 1 & 8 connected internal to the chip or should be connected together externally?2) Pin 9, GND does it have to be connected to system ground, or that's optional?Any layout recommendations please? 

I'm looking at this ST Micro part   ST MICROELECTRONICS TSX339IQ4 --- power from 2.7V to 16V.         But Vicm limitation of Vcc - 2V. At 3.3V-2V = 1.3V.          But need Vcm at 2.5V., so 2.5V + 2V = 4.5V, so likely Vcc = 5V.as an alternative source to this TI part:    TEXAS INSTRUMENTS LM339LVRTE -- power from 1.65V to 5.5V. Vcm from 0 to Vcc.I'd like to power the IC off of 3.3V and don't have a convenient source of 5V. And I *must* use a Vref of 2.5V given the other I/O requirements.Unfortunately although the TI part will work at 3.3V with Vref of 2.5V (since its allows Vcm is 0-Vcc), the ST Micro part won't work that way. It's Vcm is limited to Vcc - 2V = 3.3V-2V = 1.3V, 1.2V *below* the required Vref of 2.5V. To allow the ST Micro part to work at 2.5V, it would require a Vcc of 2.5V+2V = 4.5V => 5V. Both the ST Micro & TI would be OK at Vcc=5V *but* I don't have a source of 5V on this design or way to dis
