HelloI want to create sort of application that transmit and receive messages between 2 STM32F407 DISC0 and echo the transmited and received messages in PC screen(sort of chatbox)any hints how can I do it?and is it easier using USART or SPI?

Does anyone know what settings are needed to check the internal flash memory using the STL library? I wrote a small test firmware (for a 61508 safety application without TZ) using the STL library, which is supposed to perform a self-test flash memory check.However, this test always fails.  I ran the checksum check using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.20.0. I had to manually enter the settings for FlashStart, FlashEnd, and FlashSectionSize (0x08000000 0x0800E000 0x00010000) because the macros from the readme file didn't work.  The STM32CubeProgrammer then reports: CRCs area injected successfully. After loading the modified ELF file, the STM32CubeProgrammer displays: Number of segments: 2segment[0]: address= 0x8000000, Size = 0xC314segment[1]: address= 0x800E000, Size = 0x2000  But what settings should be specified to perform the flash test?Unfortunately, this information is not available in the manual or the STL documentation. I've already tried the following unsuccessf

I want to develop a bare-metal project (without CubeMX or HAL).However, when I open Manage Run-Time Environment (RTE) in Keil, under the Device section I only see the CubeMX option. Hello. I purchased two STM32F407VGT6 controllers from different sellers. Later, I noticed that the markings were different. Is it possible to determine the originality of the chip based on the markings? The absence of the ARM label is alarming, and the VGT6 parameters have the number 6 on a separate line.

Hey, I am using the RK043FN66HS-CTG LCD touchscreen (480 x 272 resolution) and have used the GT911 drivers found at:GitHub - DiveInEmbedded/GT911-Touch-driver: Simple and ready to use touch driver for Goodix GT911I have a custom STM32H743IIT6 PCB.It is currently recording coordinates incorrectly in the y- axis. Bottom right hand corner should be 480,272 (X,Y) roughly in landscape configuration. I am getting ~440,180.I have gone through the GT911 Register Datasheet but cannot seem to figure out why the readings are still off.Any suggestions why I am getting these issues. The goal is to communicate with an ECU using  ISO-14230 K-line fast initialization.The hardware path appears to be working correctly. We verified using an oscilloscope that:1.TXD from STM32H723ZGT6 is switching correctly2.LIN bus shows dominant pulses during fast-init and UART transmission3.RXD reflects the LIN signal4.SLP_N LOW-to-HIGH transition is implemented after power-upNXP support confirmed that the TJA1021T transceiver operation looks correct based on the waveform captures.However, the ECU does not respond — only the transmitted request echo is observed.Important observations:1.The same STM32H723ZGT6 controller, ECU, and firmware work correctly when using a dedicated K-Line transceiver IC.2.The UART configuration is 10400 baud, 8N1, and the same firmware and fast-init implementation are used.3.The fast-init sequence used is 300 ms

My board will also include an audio codec and usb hs phy.Historically I’ve used crystals to drive HSE of the mcu, but some reference designs I’ve been studying show the use of cmos oscillators to drive the clock. I am curious about the trade offs of this, or how/when I should prefer a crystal over an oscillator?thank you!

I have added an external watchdog STWD100 to an STM32L433, but want to check that I have implemented it correctly.  See schematic below....  The STM32 reset pin has a reset button circuit (copied from the Nucleo development board) and an ST Link programming connector (tag connect).The watchdog needs to work in combination with the reset button and programmer.The STM32 uses standby and shutdown low power modes, so I cannot use the STM32 internal watchdog as I need to disable the watchdog when in these low power modes.

I'm building a little tester for 6821 PIA using a STM32F103.I need to be able to write to the data bus of the PIA, and also read from it.  (6821 has 4 registers that are addressed using 2-bits input RS0,RS1).So 8 GPIO pins for the databus.  And I use 3 more GPIO pins for RS0,RS1 and R/W pin.For writing to the PIA:I set the GPIO pins to output,  set the output pins actual data and then make R/W low for writing.For read from the PIA:I set the GPIO pins to input,  make R/W high for reading and then read the input pins..Does that sound right?   I'm concerned about the timing between the GPIO data bus pins switching from output to input (and back)  and then toggling the R/W line to the PIA. Is all this switching even needed?  

I am working on a project that requires a 320x240 LCD panel (ILI9341).  I use a nucleo board with STM32G071RB chip. The SPI communication works fine when I use a blocking HAL_SPI_Transmit() function, but it takes a while to fill the entire screen. When I use a DMA with SPI to speed it up, all colors get distorted.  I have tried a HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA()  - transmit only function, and a two way HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() function.  I tried switching from 8-bit SPI to 16-bit SPI mode for DMA transfer, but always get the same color distortion problem.A detailed analysis revealed the core problem. While transmitting the RGB565 pixel information 'RRRRRGGGGGGBBBBB', the 16-bit data is broken into two bytes 'RRRRRGGG' and 'GGGBBBBB'. In the blocking SPI transmit function both bytes are transferred.  With any configuration SPI -DMA, the second bit gets lost.  The ILI9341 controller receives a single byte and for some reason reads it, according to

I am working on a project to replace a legacy ST62 IC in a industrial charger 24V/45A charger with an STM32 microcontroller (STM32F0 series). The main issue is with the PWM signal generation using TIM1 and TIM3. Both timers have 16-bit prescalers (value 0 to 65535), and I need to generate a PWM at 1 kHz with about 1000 steps of resolution.My timer clock is 8 MHz. Based on calculations, prescaler and ARR values can generate correct frequencies, but the PWM output voltage is only around 2.7V instead of the expected 5V, and there is no effective voltage output for charging.I suspect this issue is linked to the STM32CubeMX pinout or timer configuration:Correct PA6 pin configuration for TIM3 PWM output.Proper timer frequency setup: prescaler around 725 with ARR 0 tested, but PWM not as expected.Possible problem in software initialization or timer start sequence affecting PWM output.Relay control pins and PWM outputs may not be correctly activated or sequenced.I have tested a new STM32 board

I’m working on an STM32 project that uses the ADC to read sensor voltages. However, I’ve noticed inconsistent readings—sometimes fluctuating even when the input voltage is stable. I’ve tried adjusting the sampling time and using different reference voltages, but the problem persists.Has anyone encountered similar ADC accuracy issues on STM32?
