Hi ST Team, We are using EVLONE140W Module to evaluate AVS feature in PD3.1. We understood that this module is also be controlled externally. Please find the attached. Hello.I would like to ask about the procedure to exit the stand-by mode of STGAP2HD. It seems that the procedure described in the datasheet does not work.We can enter the stand-by by setting INA, INB, and BRAKE high while keeping the SD low for 1,5 ms. We can see that the driver enters stand-by as it will not switch if we send any pulses on the input.But then we are not able to exit the stand-by. We set the INA and INB low for several seconds while keeping the BRAKE high and SD low. Then we set INA, INB, and BRAKE high for 100 us while keeping SD low. Then we set the INA and INB low. It should be exactly as described in the datasheet, but the driver still will not switch if we send any pulses on the input.Therefore I would like to ask if there is a mistake in the datasheet because we are following the procedure but we are unable to exit the standby.Thank you

I have a question regarding the current peak output in the product specification sheet (Figure 1). Does the 0.7A refer to the total maximum current for all eight channels? Dear Sirs, Could you advise me dynamic resistance(Rd) of TVS such as SM6T33CAY used to clamp against pulse 5B per ISO 7637-2 or load dump B in ISO 16750-2.  Its voltage source waveform is clamped instead of exponential surge curve. Thanks John 

STNS01 data sheet dated 14-Dec-2017, Revision 4, schematic is enclosed. What precaution are recommented to prevent the chip going into oscillation. On value of Cap, pcb trace length, rated voltage (MLCC capacitance drops when DC is a good percentage of the maximum rated voltafe) and physical size.  Does size affect ESR, equivalant serial reactance.Time ago, first generation 3 terminal regualtor 7805-type has quite strict specification on by pass capacitor, likely due to small phase margin of the chip amplifier and feedback.  Wonder if these may be relaxed somewhat nowadays.  Pointer to reading notes specific to STNS01 is appreciated.If we wire up the chip and it does NOT oscillate.  How to determine system phase margin to see if it is safe and far away from oscillation threshold point  or it is getting dangerously close to the point of starting oscillation ( when temperature or cell impedence changes)Best regards

Hi, In one of my designs, I used the L6981 5.0v low-noise variant. I followed the datasheet, and this was my first time using this chip. However, I added an option that separates the AGND and PGND pins with a ferrite bead which is not present in the datasheet. As shown in the schematic with a red arrow below:When this ferrite bead is present on the circuit, the L6981 fails to boot properly. Thus gave 2.5v output with a strange signal shape (below).  When I short the ferrite bead, it seems like the L6981 is working properly.  I wanted to filter 24v supply ground with 5v ground. But as it seems the way that I do is possibly wrong. Why is the ferrite bead causing that effect? Thank you in advance. 

Hi There, I want to try the L9963 development board. I downloaded the GUI but I get an error. I go to the site from the warning and upload but my problem persists. Could I be having this problem because my computer is Win10?Does anyone have a solution? 

Dear Support,I have a design which works fine even drive it full PWM with 0.025 ohm (4A max current). we need to control the backflow current so added a diode on the power supply path.  the schematic is attached. C169 and C170 not installed. it works fine when PWM set to 50% or even 75%. but once set to 100%, the chip will be damaged in 1 or 2 second. I don't think it is a thermal issue, because the same design and layout was used for a long time. something happened that cause the chip entered a nonstable state. any suggestions that can make the design more stable. Motor_Enable is a powerful 12V supply. Thank you,David

Hi all,I am designing the custom wireless charging receiver using the STWLC38JRM chipCurrently, when I put the circuit on the wireless charging pad (Qi standard), I notice that the STWLC38JRM chip does not output 5V at the VOUT pin. Below is the schematic, I copied all the things from the STDES-WLC38WA board, the coil part number is 760308101219 but the circuit does not work, the only thing that worked is the I2C communication, when I supply 5V to the VOUT pin, I was able to communicate and read ID chip.and Below the schematic is the scope that I captured when put the circuit on the wireless charger padRed is AC1, green is AC2, yellow is VRECT, and blue is VOUTI see the VOUT is still 0V and the AC1, AC2, and VRECT waveforms look like wrong.Currently, I don't use the temperature sensor NTC so I designed a 100k resistor pull-down and 100k pull-up to VAA at NTC (F1 pin).Can you guys help me fix this issue?Thank you so much

Could you please send some technical information like a datasheet which we can forward to certification authority?I often miss this information in STM's datasheets. I searched the community posts and detected that other users also miss it many times for many types of components. Hi,I am concerning about the L6482 current control parameters that are explained in the AN4158.I assume that tSW, tON_MIN, tOFF_MIN, tOFF_FAST, tFAST_STEP reflect the relevant registers. So:1. Peak current control with auto adjusted decay: - tOFF: this parameter is not mentioned in the datasheet. Does it reflect TOFF_MIN register if predictive current control is disable?- TSW: does this register value have any effect if predictive current control is disable? Since switching frequency depends on tOFF and tON_MIN?2. Predictive current control:- tSW = tON_MIN + tOFF_MIN?I do not understand the relationship between tOFF_MIN and tSW 

I have a WBC2TX50 eval board along with a STEVAL-WLC98RX for testing Qi powe transfer. When I try to make the transfer, the WBC2TX50 board does not go past FSM_PRE_PING_STATE, either with the WLC98RX or with a phone, both of which work with a standard Qi transmitter.The circuit does respond to the coil (MeasQfactor is 156 free, around 76 with the WLC98RX coil and less than 20 with foreign object). Why is the TX50 board not going past this stage? Do I need to configure something past the default settings for it? Please advise, thank you in advance.

Dear ST office, I have a project with the chip Vipergan50TR.We need the output voltage of 20V/0.2A,  -20V/0.2A,  7V/1.5A. We plan to let the vipergan chip control 20V channel. I tried your online design tool for AC/DC. When i typed in output voltage is 20V, 0.2A for just one channel with the chip Vipergan50TR. It shows me the switching frequency is too low. Please see attachment.Why does this happen, how can we change it?

Hi, it seems that the STEVAL-WLC38RX uses STSW-WPSTUDIO and the STEVAL-WBC2TX50 uses STEVAL-WBC2TX50. Is it possible to program the STEVAL-WLC38RX to take external ADC measurements via the NTC pin or the GPIOs and send it to the STEVAL-WBC2TX50 using the studios?Please provide some guidance. Thanks!

I have a hardware question about the viper53e chip.  For VDD startup voltage, what is the correct voltage to guarantee the mosfet switching will start?  I have seen some examples where 11.5V was not enough, and curious to know what the is the best VDD to use at startup, to guarantee the mosfet will turn on?
