ST25 NFC/RFID tags and readers

Hi,I'm using a CR95HF NFC reader using the SPI. I have Hibernate mode problemI'm sending a command :CR95HF_Send(0x07, 14, 0x08, 0x04, 0x00 , 0x04 , 0x00, 0x18 , 0x00 , 0x00 , 0x00 , 0x00 , 0x00 , 0x00 , 0x00 , 0x00);If the tag is in the field then I can go into Hibernate modeIf the tag is not in the field then I cannot switch to the Hibernate mode.The generator remains on. Current consumption. How to correctly switch the CR95HF to mode Hibernate? Hello,I successfully succeed to control my ST25RU3993-HPEV with my external MCU.I can detects all my tags just in a area of 10 cm, but my External PA is activated. I don't know what parameters i have to change to allows at my system to detect my tags in a area of 10 m ?I also see a consumption of 0.7 A so i think that the PA is running good.And i use the default parameter in the FW wich is on this link Someone can help me pls ?  Thanks you ! Paul :)  

I use the ST25R/NTA5332 pair as an NFC Reader/Tag and ST25R391x firmware in my project.Why rfalNfcvPollerWriteMultipleBlocks method return the error? Is supported RFAL_NFCV_CMD_WRITE_MULTIPLE_BLOCKS command? I need to use rfalNfcvPollerWriteSingleBlock instead and it extremely slows down the exchange.

Hello,I'm using RFAL v2.6.0 and ST25R3911B and I get an issue with the IRQ management.Using ISO14443 Type-A tag,  the IRQ remains high causing the while loop not to exit. In this condition, the i_err bit of the main interrupt register is '1' while the two  interrupt registers (Timer and NFC interrupt register and Error and wake-up interrupt register) have all of their bits to '0'.  Reading these register in a loop cannot clear the i_err bit.  The last content prior the lock state is:- Main interrupt register: 0x33 -> i_rxs, i_rxe, i_tim, i_err- Timer and NFC interrupt register: 0x20  - Error and wake-up interrupt register: 00  (Should be different from 0)

Currently, only smartag_WriteData is downloaded from ST official installation package, but I need to store NDEF data, I have noticed that NFC07A1 has NfcTag_WriteNDEF, then how should I add NDEF read/write function in FP-SNS-SMARTAG1? 

Hi I'm trying to write some data in to ST25dv64 NFC TAG using custom mobile application, before writing data into NFC tag we are encrypting message. encryption method is AES 128 CBC, the encrypted message has some non-printable characters, like 0x91, 0x8a, 0xdf which are getting converted in to 0xEF 0xBF 0xBD when stored in NFC EEPROM, when we read NFC tag using host controller, we are seeing in the memory in the place of one byte (say 0x91) we are seeing 3 bytes (0xEF 0xBF 0xBD), because of this decryption is failing on host controller. I'm new to this AES encryption and I'm not sure where the issue is? whether it is in NFC TAG or encoding data. Any help would be appreciated. wanted suggestions on SW integration to handle 2/3 NFC03A1 boards with RPi4HW SPI connections seems to be okon the SW side, how to handle multiple spi.Pls advise

Hi to all, I'm starting a new project with ST25R95 and X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 as demo board. I have two question about example usage:1) I can't find X-CUBE-NFC3 package in cube MX (only 4 and 6 are avaiable). How can I add this package to Cube MX configurator ?2) I downloaded the package X-CUBE-NFC3 from the site, but the import of the examples for the F401RE board is not successful (as for all the ST examples). I entered all the dependencies manually, but the rfal_dpoTbl.h file is missing. Where can I find it? Thanks to all.

Writing 256 bytes ( full mailbox message ) failes when using I2C in DMA mode. I think the max is 255, correct me if I am wrong.Any way I can write it using 2 messages safely? Or am I restricted to non-DMA I2C write only?

Hi Team,How strong is 8 bytes NFC password given the fact that there is no lockout mechanism. Assuming an attacker with physical proximity tries to brute-force (try all combination) the password on nfc chip, How much time will be needed to crack the password? How to calculate the time it takes to perform one valid/invalid authentication attempt on nfc chip?

With the ST25R3916, how can filtering of the 3rd harmonic (40.5 MHz) be improved? Following the procedure outlined in AN5276, a matching network was made. Performance of the device was verified, and emissions in the 13.56 MHz band are within FCC limits. However, the 3rd harmonic is above acceptable levels. Measurements with a near field probe on the tag show similar levels of the 3rd harmonic in the device I am using and the NUCLEO-NFC06A1 test board.Changes that have attempted but did result in changes to the measured field on a near field probe:Changing the cutoff frequency of the EMC filter (11 MHz, 13.8MHz, 15.5 MHz)Changing the damping resistorChanging the driver resistanceChanging regulator voltageAre there other recommended approaches to reduce this harmonic?

I've got a STEVAL-SMARTAG1, and i need to build a React Native App that reads the sensor reading stored in the memory via RF.To do so i'm using "react-native-nfc-manager" library to use the NFC sensor on the phone to read TagData but that doesn't contain any data from the sensor, (it contains only the serial number of the chip).Then i found out that i could access the memory using a method of the library called "transceive" that send a command to the chip and receive a buffer response. I actually using 2 commands:Read Multiple Blocks ( NfcManager.transceive([0x02,0x23,{first_block},{number_of_blocks}]) )Extended Read Single Block ( NfcManager.transceive([0x02,0x30, {block_number(LSB+MSB)}]) )they both work to receive back a buffer which consist of an array of uint8 that i think is the memory value of that block.Now i need to know how to interpret that memory value so i can read the sensor readings that are stored in memory.Is this the correct way of doing so?or there is

Hey,I recently bought ST25-TAG-BAG-UI1 and hoped I could experiment with it for a specific application but I soon realized there is no documentation available publicly. I've applied for access to AN5580 but my application got rejected (I guess because I don't have a website yet and my production forecast is low). How can I evaluate the digital signature functionally of ST25-TAG-BAG-UI1 evaluation board if you are not providing any documentation on commands for it? Is there any other document that would help me to test this?

I have integrated the ST25R3911B into a Linux development board, using spi+gpio for communication.I currently have GPIO configured for edge-triggering (both), and I am polling for card readings at a frequency of 300ms.However, I've noticed that the GPIO pin used for the ST25R External Interrupt is being pulled high very frequently. causing high CPU usage in my card reading program.I did not observe the specified trigger condition for the GPIO interrupt in the provided demo. Was it configured for rising, falling, or both edges?I look forward to your response.

Dear Sir      We are developing an iOS mobile application software. We downloaded the official source code of ST and compiled the app we need.When verifying the development board, we encountered the following problems: the ST official app（STSW-ST25IOS001,NFC Tap ,Version 7.2 ） downloadedfrom the app store can upload images normally(see Attachment 2) through the development board（Discovery kit for the ST25DV-I2C-EVO dynamic NFC/RFID tag）,but the app compiled from the source code(STSW-ST25IOS002, Version 7.0.0) downloaded from the ST official link keeps reporting an error（see Attachment 1）when uploading images in ftm mode.      So, could you help to confirm whether the app compiled from the source code downloaded from the official website can reproduce this function of image uploading?Best RegardsIvan Tan

Hello, We are trying to implement the isodep functionality in one of our developments with the ST25R3917, acting as reader/PCD. We have implemented the libraries included in the STSW-ST25R018 firmware (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-st25r018.html) . By other side, we have an Android App with a customized AID, already tested and working. It answers with 0x9000 when it receives the APDU containing the AID previosuly configurated. We have checked it with the ST25R3916 Discovery Board with the firmware version 1.4.3 (see following picture) However, when we try to communicate with the App, using the libraries that I mentioned before, the answer to the APDU containing the AID (00 A4 04 00 07 XX XX XX XX XX XX XX) is 0xF208, which seems to be a S-Block message indicating the WTX period. In the libraries the behaviour to this answer is to send the same message received to the PICC (our smartphone in this case), until the PCD (our device) receives the right answer

Recently, I am working on a project. I need to use the nrf52832 driver st25r3911b chip to read the card. The current progress is that I can use the st25r3911 driver to initialize, and the initialization has been successful, but it seems that there is no response to the nfcv card. Then I compared the situation of using the development board and found that the st25r3911 did not generate interruption during operation, (When I use the stm32L476 development board to drive the NFC05A1 development board, I can see that the interrupt pin of the NFC05A1 always generates interrupt signals), but I don't know what causes this.
