STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

to use the canbus Pins from the systembootloader of stm32f429ZI PB13 needs to be disconected from VBUS_FDThere is no jumper or 0R, the pcb pad needs to be physically cut. 

Dear ST Support Team,I recently purchased the STM32H7S7-DK development board (MB1736D) and I am encountering an issue when attempting to debug my main application code. The error message displayed is:“Failed to initialize external memory!”“Error in initializing ST-LINK device.”I have already configured the external memory loader as per the documentation and have attached pictures for your reference. Despite these configurations, I am unable to proceed with debugging.Could you kindly assist me in resolving this issue? Furthermore, I would like to know whether it is possible to debug external memory through serial debugging using the onboard ST-LINK, or if it requires another setup.Additionally, if I plan to use the JTAG interface to debug the development board, could you please inform me of any changes or configurations required to achieve this?I am looking for solution as soon as possible,Thank you .Best regards,Er. Hi, i just started with STM32G031J6 using STM32G0316-DISCO board. Using CubeIDE i have configured my second LED LD1 on pin PA11After generated the code by IDE, I added sections for flashing these LEDs. Hello,I bought STLINKV2 + small board with STM32F103C8T6. Hi, I hope Everything is fine. I have a board that uses stm32f030 as the processor. When I open an empty project on stm32, debug or run it, I get the "failed to erase memory" error. I deleted the obtion byte from cubeprogrammer and changed the st link. It gives the same error again. What could be another reason?

Hi team, I was trying to establish CAN communication between Matlab Simulink and 2 nodes, through STM32 board. Our logic is working fine when checked individual device. But communication is not taking place when respective nodes are connected to Can1 and Can2 and checked parallelly. Is STM32 Nucleo-F446 series board really capable of handling 2 CAN channels simultaneously ?If no, how can we solve the issue of communicating with both nodes at a time ? Thank you,M Satya Prashanth9515992585

I'm just looking for some clarification on a few points, having watched one or two of the training videos.  I have bought a NUCLEO-G031K8 dev board, but was wondering if I could just go straight to my target board 1. in the project setup, it asks what board I want to use.  Can I not just use my target as the dev board and if so how do I do that 2. I have made the assumption that the SWDIO and SWCLK are fully functional even if I use my target.  Is this correct? 3. Will the IDE debugger will work with my target board, or will it only work with the NUCLEO 4. Asking the more experienced people here, is it just safer and quicker all round to go with the NUCLEO for s/w dev, and then flash the binary to the target? (the s/w is about 1000 lines of code, so it's a porting + partial rewrite exercise for this first project) Thankyou AndrewR  

I am using NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q eval board. I am trying to blink RGB LEDs. But RED LED which is connected GPIOG pin 2 is not toggling.

I am running a 16" M2 Pro MacBook with Sonoma 14.4.1. I am able to connect to the target and start the program + debug sequence, but when the debugger attempts to erase the memory, it halts (solid green light) and throws errors:failed to erase memoryStm32Device::clearPendingDebugEvents(): CTI check failedThis happens on my custom HW as well as on an unmodified Nucleo-144 H755.There is a workaround - run the debugger through a USB hub. I have an Anker USB 3.0 hub that connects to the USB-C port on the computer. The debugger does not work when directly connected to the MacBook via a high-quality USB-micro to USB-C cable. I tested several other cables with several adapters and all had the same result, so I know this is not the cable. I'd like to run the debugger directly to the laptop without needing a hub.There's a possibility that Apple introduced a bug in Sonoma 14.4 that messed up USB devices, and there have been a few complaints about hubs *not* working. Hello I have questions about Nucleo-F446ZE. So basically my company already has Simulink and Matlab for new members to learn MBD, and my company also has Nuleo-F446ZE. Previously, I tried to inject the program from Simulink to the Arduino device to make sure that the embedded coder was working and the result was that the program was successfully injected. Then I tried to increase the level to STM32 where we chose Nucle-F446ZE as a test.When I first connected the Nucleo Board to the computer, everything was fine and there was nothing strange. However, when I tried to inject a simple blink program with LED buildin from simulink to the nucleo board, it failed even though I had followed the official tutorial given. After I observed it, it turned out that the overcurrent LED was lit on the board and when I touched the MCU it was very hot. Then I checked the 3.3V line with GND and found that there was a short that was not there before.My question is whether a program injection erro

For more than 3 days I am trying to solve a problem of connecting to Riverdi board using external ST-link from a discovery board. I flashed apps without problem and now I can't do anything. I remember last time I was flashing an app it asked that firmware of St-link has to be updated before continuing so I proceeded. I'm trying to collect values through debugging using the Resume button, but it only works once. What could be wrong?

I plugged in the microB cable only to power demo board STM32U5G9J-DK1. Now the LCD on it display different images in certain sequence. Firmware package STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.7.0 has been downloaded.  I assume the demo project is the DSI example folder.   \STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.7.0\Projects\STM32U5x9J-DK\Examples\DSIThere are two examples. Which one should be the one that was loaded into the demo board? My application is to send videos through the USB C port and display the video on the LCD display. In this case, if there is an example firmware and example software to evaluate, it would be very helpful.Thank you.Kelly

Hello allI am experimenting with driving a 4*8 LED matrix with a Nucleo STM32-F410RB board. I am trying to save GPIO pins by driving the LEDs as a matrix. The schematic and example is attached below.I'm not very experienced with PWM generation so I used the basic timer TIM6 interrupt for driving the matrix. The setup seems to work, but at low brightness settings the LEDs tend to flicker a bit. My question is: are there some better/more effective ways to achieve a stable LED matrix output? Im using Nucleo-H755 i have using this board for the last 3 months usually i get some Errors like no target found but i have solved those by viewing in the community chats but this Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication i have tried every thing i know and suggestions in the other posts like connect under reset , boot0 high , power down mode but i couldnt get it connected while connect the board  there is a file in the H755 storagenamed FAIL.txt in that this msg is present The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU is there any other way to flash the board

Hi there,I'm looking for development boards that can support I3C at full SDR speed (12.5MHz), and I have the following MCUs that we can try I3C from the AN5879 application note:STM32H5 series.STM32H7R3/7S3 line.STM32H7R7/7S7 line.On the other hand, I found STM32H7B3I-DK, which can work with the integrated peripherals without adding extensions, but it uses the STM32H7B3LIH6QU chip (STM32H7B3), which is not in the list above.Is there any update from the AN5879's release date (June 2024) with I3C-compatible MCUs so we can find more development boards to try I3C?Also, does ST maintain a place to check for updated I3C-compatible MCUs and boards?Thank you,Daniel.

Hello, I am a university student and I am trying to design a development board with the STM32H7S3A8I6. In the past, I've just used the power scheme in the documentation of the MCU for reference, but the power scheme in the documentation (page 153) for this MCU is incomplete (I'm assuming its becasue it's new). I used this "Getting started" guide for the STM32H7A3 and made a few assumptions from past STM32 designs that have worked, but since I cant find any good references or documentation on the matter, I am not confident in my work. Has anyone used this processor before or know where I can find good reference designs to cross check my work? Ive attached my schematic below.  Hello everyone,I’m currently working on developing a bootloader, and I’m trying to implement a memory backup function. My goal is to copy 158 pages of 4 KB from BANK1 to BANK2.I’ve written software that uses the standard copy function with FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_DOUBLEWORD (64 bits at a time). However, this process takes more than 10 seconds because after each write, I check the data integrity: I read the data from BANK1, write it to BANK2, then read it again from BANK2 and compare to verify the data.The main issue I’m facing is that after writing the 158 pages, I need to send a response via CAN. This results in a timeout error on the diagnostic application because the 10-second limit is exceeded.I’m looking for a solution to perform the memory backup operation faster, ideally in under 8 seconds, while still ensuring data integrity.I’ve tried using DMA, and although it works, I believe it’s not the best solution for my scenario due to some limitations.If you have any ideas or suggesti

My hardware has the I2C pins (SDA and SCL) connected incorrectly, and I cannot change them because the hardware is already built. Is there any way I can fix this issue from the firmware side? On the STDC connector, Pin 13/14 are virtual com port signals T_VCP_RX and _TX.Which one is input and output? They have cryptic comments like "Output for STLINK-V3SET" (for _RX) - Is RX an output and connects to the RX pin on the STM32? Or is it an input and connects to a STM32 TX output?

For product A (68-pin VFQFN package), pins 31 and 66 are VCAP pins, and 2.2uF capacitors have been placed on each pin. Should pins 33 and 66 be connected to each other, or is it sufficient to place the capacitors on each pin individually?      

Hi,I am using stm32h745 dual core microcontroller. I want to bootloader application in this processor. The same process does not work with applications made with single core. Can anyone share a sample code for this? Or can you help me on how to apply bootloader in dualcore?
