HiI've been struggling trying to get an Image from a Image sensor over DCMI via the GPDMA on an STM32U575.The image sensor has a resolution of 752*480, though I only want to capture 420*420, which I've configured on the sensor to output. I've also configured it to output a B&W image meaning I only get one byte per pixel.I've used the DCMI_ContinousCap_EmbeddedSychMode example as the basis for my code, though I'm not using an omnivision sensor so I've swapped out the configuration for one required for my image sensor. However, for the most part, I have not modified the GPDMA or linked list settings from this example, just the I2C comms (swapped to SPI) and DCMI to external synchro, and DCMI polarities to match my image sensors output.when I try to pull a full image in one DMA transfer, I get an overflow error after only receiving half the image (88200 bytes). Hey all,I have a Sony IMX686 camera module connected to the STM32N6 Discovery Kit, streaming video to the on-board LCD. The sensor outputs a single-stream RAW Bayer format on Virtual Channel 0, and the DCMIPP receives the data correctly — up to a certain horizontal resolution. The issue appears to be related to a bytes-per-line limit within the DCMIPP or its DMA pipeline.When the IMX686 outputs RAW8, the DCMIPP can only handle horizontal line lengths up to 1552 pixels. If I increase the width beyond 1552 px (e.g., to 1668 px), I begin to see horizontal distortions in the lower portion of the frame. These distortions worsen as the width increases. See the images below.As the width increases further, the distortion grows and eventually affects most of the frame (shown below).When switching the sensor to RAW10, the exact same distortion appears, but it goes away when I reduce the horizontal resolution to 1232 pixels. I am using STM32U575 Nucleo development board and I am trying to configure DMA through STMCube IDE. I have configured the DMA and generated code through it. Added required code but I am not getting data on serial through DMA. Is there any alternate way to get data on serial using DMA?

I am working on an isolated monitoring system for currents, voltages, and heatsink temperatures, and am using the ADCS on the Nucelo-F446RE to take the readings. Initially testing was going well demonstrating good linearity and accuracy across a range of set-values. However, after having reworked one of my temperature channels, and making minor adjustments to the configuration of the Nucleo board to configure it to read a different ADC channel, the values collected by the ADC suddenly became very erratic (inaccurate) and imprecise (larger range). For example, in the attachments I have included x2 sets of values collected before and after the issue started to occur. I am using TIM1 PWM mode CH1-3 for HINs and CH1N-3N for LINs of each half bridge's IR2110. So in theory, for example, for first commutation, I only need CH1 & CH3N to be active. But as far as my understanding goes, if CH1 is active, I will be getting a complementary signal at CH1N as well. If IR2110 receives signal at HIN and LIN, it might cause overshoot for MOSFETs. Can i use UART + DMA  ( normal ) + RTO ? I try to add RTO but when activate RTOE bit the DMA buffer stops fills .I take interrupt with active RTOF , stop DMA , but nothing in buffer !? I use stm32H7 with hardware implemented RTO. Can some one to give working example ? 

Hi everyone,I'm having a hard time with the FDCAN on a NUCLEO-H723ZG. I’ve tried several setups (external with transceivers, external loopback with wires), but I’ve stripped everything back to Internal Loopback mode on FDCAN1 to simplify things.Current situation: I can actually see that the frame is sent successfully (no TX errors), but the receive interrupt/FIFO never triggers. Hello,I am attempting to measure the current consumption of an STM32L4 before and after entering STOP2 mode using a DC power supply. I expected the initial current of 165mA to drop down to the $\mu A$ range upon entering STOP2 mode, but it only decreased by 5mA.For my configuration, I have only enabled System Core - SYS - Debug - Serial Wire and a single GPIO pin for toggling to monitor the status via an oscilloscope. When STOP2 mode is activated, I confirmed with the oscilloscope that the GPIO toggling stops completely, indicating the CPU has halted. However, the power supply current remains high.I have attached my main.c file for reference. Could you please check if I have missed any necessary configurations or if I am doing something wrong?Thank you in advance for your help.

Greetings ST Community,I am a junior embedded developer, and I have recently worked on a project utilizing some old systems which run on the STM32L100R8T6TR chips. I had a need for an unique chip identifier for use in a communication protocol, and therefore I attempted to use the 96-bit UIDs in these chips. However, I now have two questions regarding these UIDs.First off, I used the firmware created for the platform I was developing on, and the UIDs fetched using the addresses specificed in this firmware access the address 0x1FF80050U as the UID_BASE address, and then +4U and +8U for the next sections of the 96-bit UID respectively. The values extracted using those value seem like the correct values, however I have now found two chips from a sample of 16 with the exact same UIDs unfortunately: 30h 35h 47h 04h 39h 39h 32h 39h 03h B7h FCh 48h I investigated this issue by consulting the documentation, which led me to my next question...Secondly, the documentation instructs me to

CASE 1:I am using  sdmmc for SDIO bulk transfer at 400khz initially then switch to 25 mhz.Its not working with nucleo h743/53 where cpu frequency 480 mhz and sdmmc input clock is 480 mhz.Its working with nucleo h743/53 where cpu frequency 480 mhz and sdmmc input clock is 48 or 50 mhz.Its not working with nucleo h743/53 where cpu frequency 160mhz and sdmmc input clock is 160 mhz.Its is working fine with nucleo_u5 when CPU frequecy is 160mhz and SDMMC input clock is 160 mhz which gets converted to like:26.66 mhz.I have not checked upto which max sdmmc frequecy it is working fine with nucleo_h743/53.It seems to be working when sdmmc input clock is ~50 mhz with nucleoh743/53. Q1: Is there any recommendation with sdmmc input clock frequency with nucleoh743/53? CASE2: Along with CASE1, I also found that its not working at all with nucleo h743/53, if I give 3.3V External power to SD card(external power also uses voltage regulator) , but same works when giving 3.3V power from nu

I am implementing a CAN communication structure with one master and two slaves. Both slave devices perform exactly the same function, meaning their hardware and firmware are essentially identical. The master’s intention is to send commands only to a specific slave at a given time and receive data only from that targeted device. However, the issue I am facing is that any CAN frame transmitted by the master is being accepted by both slaves. Because both devices share the same ID filtering configuration, each slave interprets the incoming message as if it were intended for itself. As a result, the system behaves like a broadcast communication instead of the desired unicast structure, which leads to unintended and incorrect operation. Is there a solution

Hi,We have STM32N6570-DK and are testing camera input, video encode and write to SD cardWe have not been able to make the "VENC_SDCard_Appli" example work, the SD card just contains zeros.The "VENC_SDCard_ThreadX" example does work however, resulting in an 800x480 video.Are there any examples on encoding at 1080p resolution? Changing the encoder parameters and level results in memory allocation failures in EncAsicMemAlloc_V2.Many thanks 

In the STM32L4P5xx datasheet, some pins' IO structure is labelled with _l (in combination with other letters). However, this letter is not explained in Table 14 nor anywhere else.Can this please be explained?Thanks,JW

Hi, I run ADC1 with DMA on my STM32F303RE with 72MHz clock.  I take the number of samples flowing into the circular buffer per timeunit.  I calculate a sample freq. of 1.305 Megasamples per second Ms/s. When I look at the sampled known signal I calculate a sample frequency of 1.518Ms/s. I'm losing samples somewhere !?  Where? Is it due to ADC or DMA?  ADC setup: Independent mode,Synchronous clock mode divided by 4, 12Bit, scan disable, continuous enable, enable regular conversions enable,  DMA setup: ADC1 DMA1 CHANNEL1, circular buffer 15*1024*uint16_t, increment address memory, half word THX Cheers Detlef  

Hi. I'm new to STM32, and I'm using STM32F103C8T6. I want to run Loopback mode to test CAN BUS without another board first. When I go to debug, I find it stuck at HAL_CAN_START. Hi,  I have been trying to deploy the 66GYMAI1 Camera on the STM32 N657X0Q Nucleo board with the Load and Run mode. However, there is a problem that I could not solve, which is that the project can not jump from FSBL to APPLI. Because I am trying to jump from FSBL to APPLI to print something by USART, but it doesn't work.I would be grateful if someone could check it.   

Hello Expert, Could you please provide guidance on the issue below?  We are using the following setup:- MCU: STM32G0B1CCTx- Software: X-CUBE-TCPP 4.2.0 with USBPD Application 4.2.0 Dual Role- Board Part: TCPP0203 v1.2.3 We are developing a USB PD board.When we plug in an Android smartphone (USB Type-C port), the phone does not detect the connection.Attached is the log showing three plug-in/plug-out attempts.(we plug in and out 3 times)From the log, it appears that after attachment, the connection detaches immediately, then the roles switch, followed by another detachment.We have already tried increasing the CAD source/sink toggle time from 100 ms to 144 ms, but the issue persists.Could you advise on possible causes or solutions? I have a new STM32N6570-DK MCU, I am running a simple program configuring ADC1 with the help of STMcubeIDE, selecting application mode, in secure mode, I have connected one sensor who is biased at 1.5V to A2 of MCU as well as ground of sensor and MCU are connected, code has been generated with some basic settings, It is not getting Debug properly, sometimes code is crashing before entering in main, sometimes board is not responding at all, before that I tried blink LED that worked Kindly tell me the proper steps to make this code run Is there any proper step to initialize the MCU when using for first time? Is application mode in secure version is okay for data extraction from analog sensors with the help of ADC I am attaching the related files, kindly reply

hello:@mƎALLEm I'm currently working with the STM32U585 and ran into a problem abort CAN auto Retransmission.Context:There are three devices on the CAN bus: stm32u5, A and Bstm32u5 enable auto Retransmissionstm32u5 need to keep sending them messages, regardless of whether they are connected or notdevice A and device B have hardware message filtering, So if A or B receives a message that is not intended for it, no ack will be sent(Is this correct?) I want to know:If A is online and B is offline, how many times will the message sent to B be resentIf it will be resent many times or never stops, how do I delete the failed resend messages after tx fifo is full

Hello, We are using the RTC wakeup timer and I have noticed that sometimes the WUTIE and WUTE bits are not being set. We are using HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT() HAL function to enable the timer. In stepping through the HAL code, it sets the RTC_CR_WUTIE and RTC_CR_WUTE bits but does not check they are actually set, so I assume it is expected to set the bits. I have read through the reference manual (RM0456) and existing errata. There is no existing errata w.r.t the RTC unit that applies to this situation. Any insight would be appreciated. I have a problem, where there's simply no error, but the output, is not showing on the screen. The system has detected the board, and all the correct steps are followed, even though, my hello world code is not been printed. I am using stm32cubeide version 2.0.0 and im using a nucleo-h723zg. Also, the board is first showing a static red light when plugegd in to the laptop, and then a patternt that repeats ----> red, green red,green and then green for 1 second and then it keeps on going. I even flashed my whole baord and erased everything, despite that, it is showing the same behaviour. HelloIm developing a CAN Bus node and with space constrains, so i ve looked in stm32 products and a qnf32 packages looked perfect for example stm32G0B1 has FDCAN. The problem...These QFN32 dont expose HSE pins. I just can use HSI with 16 MHz +- 1% wich is not reliable for FDCAN, especially for industrial applications with many nodes. I dont understand why the mcu hás 2 FDCAN peripherals if theres no reliable clock to Run them.Im i missing some thing here? At are my alternatives? I now that QFN48 hás HSE, but i dont need só much io and the packages is bigger.Help here 

Greetings,Being rather new to designing/connecting electronics components, I got some questions regarding battery monitoring.Setup:NUCLEO-L432KC, driven by regular AA NiMH batteries in 3S configuration. Voltage is regulated by a small board based on a TI TPS63802 buck-boost-converter, which ensures a stable 3.3V output for the Nucleo board. The MCU is running stable with this power supply, everythings works out so far.Task:Now there's monitoring of the individual battery cells on the table. With three cells, three ADC inputs are required (if you don't do some switching outside of the MCU). The NiMH cells in question are rated at 1.2V nominal, with close to 1.4V when at full charge. Thus, if you measure the voltage after each cell, it would result to 1.2V, 2.4V and 3.6V nominal (or 1.4V, 2.8V and 4.2V max).Gathered intel:I understand that the ADC can only measure voltages between 0 and VREF, which equals to the 3.3V input voltage.Regarding the measurement of <3.3V battery pack nodes,
