Hi,Anyone can help with resources (videos, Documents), to understand how to calculate time delay and execution time for CAN messages and SPI communication. I am working on STM32H7 MCUs and need to get a close estimation about the time delays, for example:  receiving messages through CAN network and sending these messages to another MCU through an SPI protocol, assuming both MCUs working in sync.    

Hello, I have a CAN 2.0 network (classic can) running at 500 kb/s.  I have multiple STM32F4 nodes running the stm32 HAL CAN driver with no issues.  I have another node running a STM32G4 with a FDCAN driver set to classic mode.  When the G4 node is connected to the network it works most of the time, but when electrical noise is introduced the whole network slowly crashes as each node cannot send messages.  In particular the farthest node from the G4 and the G4 both stop sending messages at exactly the same moment, reporting a FIFO buffer full error.  In the course of 30 seconds of this electrical noise, however, every STM node on the CAN line stops sending messages pretty consistently.  The exact CAN driver error is not yet 100% known across all nodes, but was the BIT_STUFF error at the FDCAN at one point. With the G4 removed, but the location of the termination the same, the CAN bus does not experience any issues at the sa

Hi everyone,I am trying to power my NUCLEO-H563ZI with an external power supply. I have tried everything in the documentation (jumper positions and pin connections) including a 3.3v input (3.3), a 5v input (E5V), and a 9v input (VIN). None of this works when powering the board. The board seems to receive power as LD5 powers on a solid green, however the code on the board does not ever execute. I currently have a test program on it blinking two of the on-board lights. The board works when it is connected by the STLINK USB-C connector. It does not run for any of the external power supply methods. I feel like I've tried everything and am not sure how to fix this (NRST pulls high so that is not the issue either, and the firmware is up to date). I am able to power my NUCLEO-H503RB with this power supply using the 3.3v pin. Trying the same thing with the H563 did not work. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am unable to get the I2C line on my STM32H750VB to connect with my PCA9685 PWM driver on my custom PCB. The I2C line is constantly high, which I have seen on multiple oscilloscopes. I got the software online from a tutorial on the PWM driver and was able to run it successfully on a Nucleo-H743ZI2 board which has a STM32H743ZI MCU with a breakout of the PCA9685 so the code unrelated to board setup should work. I attached the entire code file in case though. Things I've tried: Changing the I2C pull-up resistors from 4.7k to 10kResetting the I2C bus with HAL_I2C_DeInit and HAL_I2C_Init Continuity between the MCU SCL and SDA and breakout is good Pull-up resistor values when measured between each line and 3V3 is the same Plugged in the working breakout to the custom board and took out the original PCA9685Multiple system configurations with internal clocks HSI, CSI, and PLLCLKMultiple I2C clock configu

how can i connect the module wifi esp8266 nodemcu v3 with stm32l476rg?

I have tested the POC (Proof of Concept) by using 'Nucleo-439ZI' evaluation Board. I am now going to use the same schematics as reference for my prototype and create a custom board by removing the Morpho and Zio connectors as well as the unintended functions. I will be using this board for a medical application wherein compliance with ' IEC60601 Standard' is mandatory. I would like to know if any additional circuity need to be added to the schematics attached apart from adding TVS diodes at the I/O pins for protection from surge voltages. Thanks    

Device is STM32F765VI.I'm using DMA to fill data allocated from DTCM, for some reason this seems to be caching.My understanding is that DTCM doesn't need cache management, help me if wrong here.  If I don't enable the data cache everything works as expected here.Ultimately, I'm using the QSPI peripheral, DMA2 stream 2, target address is less than 0x20020000, I seem to be missing some core understanding here. 

I think I may have found a bug with the STM32G4 RTC that I am not seeing in the errata.I am using the RTC on STM32G4 with a 32.768 KHz LSE oscillator. I am having a issue where I would read the RTC twice fairly close together in code. I observed that occasionally on the 2nd read of the RTC the SSR value would increase without a change to either the TR or DR. I tested with shadow bypass both enabled and disable and I observed the same behavior.I tried to profile the SSR values that I would get which triggered this condition and I noticed that the 2nd read was often 3 more than the 1st read (ex. 22492 and 22495) but sometimes the 2nd read was even more. It also seemed that multiple least significate bits of the 1st read were 0; I suspect that this could be explained by the fact the RTC is not on the same clock domain and I happen to be reading the SSR in the middle of a decrement before the bits are stable.I seem to be able to work around this by reading

 Hello, i am interested in the input structure of the NRST pin of the STM32G0x0 series. The datasheet shows a reduced diagram. My question is: is there a more detailed version of the input structure. Hi everyone,I'm using the STM32F407 for CAN Communication with the Loopback Mode. I'm trying to send a cyclic frame using a timer.I'm using the timer2 with a clock of 84MHz (APB1), a prescaler of 8399 so i will have a tick every 1ms and a period of 1000 - 1 because i need a cyclicity of message sending every 100ms.I only get the data transmitted to the RxData by calling  CAN_Rx_Callback(&hcan1); in the main function.This way, i'm not sure if i'm sending data every 100ms or i'm sending data all in once. How can i update my code to resolve this problem.

I'm trying to use a STM32 Nucleo-L476RG to get audio from a PDM MEMs Microphone (Infineon IM66D120A) using DFSDM and save the audio to an SD Card. I'm able to write to the SD card using SPI but I'm not able to get any usable audio recorded onto the SD card just static. I've attached the WAV file. I know I'm getting data from the microphone because I can see it on the scope. I have attached the code I'm using right now. Any Ideas?

Project generated in CubeMX 4.19.0 for Keil, I commented date and time setup in MX_RTC_Init() and time restores fine after reset/power off, but date becomes 1-1-2000, how can I restore date?#date #rtc #vbat

Hi all,I'm quite a beginner with these kind of memories. It seems that the ST Core Coupled Memory is inspired in the ARM's Tightly coupled memory concept, however, do they have a significant difference? Perhaps a special Hardware adapation to ST's Microprocessor architecture or something similar? Thanks in advance.

Till now I have managed to make it reply to some Setup requests, to be more specific it replies to Device Descriptor and set Address , ( I am currently figuring out Configuration request which is the next usually). I got some incosistencies where sometimes it will appear in task manager as Configuration Descriptor Request failed or Invalid Device Descriptor but other times it will appear as Device Descriptor Request failed and need some restarts to appear the Config Req Failed error again. During the user-defined BL upgrade process of the STM32, is it possible to keep an IO pin, which has already been pulled high in the user code, at a high level throughout the entire sequence of steps: 'jumping from the user code to the BL, erasing and writing the flash, and then jumping back to the user code after the upgrade is complete'? This IO pin is not used during the upgrade process. The essential requirement is to avoid resetting the peripheral states during the BL upgrade process.I noticed that my IO pin was automatically reset after jumping from the user code to the user-defined BL code.

I am interfacing many 5.2VDC signals with an STM32F103VET6 MCU, using PB0,PB11,PD9,PD10,PD11,PD12,PD14 as input. According to the datasheet these pins are 5V Tolerant. In the past, regardless of a pin's "tolerance" to 5V I have always used a level shifter to change this 5V signal to a 3.3V signal before it gets to the MCU; Just to be a safe voltage. This application I am trying to limit the number of parts on the PCB for small size. Testing on the designed board seems to work and the MCU seems to tolerate this well, but for long term use in the field is it better to run this signal through a level shifter or does it not matter since the pin is "5V Tolerant"? The STM32F103VET6 MCU manual shows "5.3.14 I/O port characteristics,,If VDD=3.3V＞2V,VIN max can reach 5.5V"

Hi,I'm working on a custom module based on a STM32L452CCU MCU.I'm reading the temperature of the MCU (using ADC1 with DMA, temp is updated at 30Hz using a timer)When I read the ADC value on a regular basis while heating the MCU, I can read a voltage going from 1600 up to 2300 or so (which should be someting like 105°C or so) which is OKHowever, when I do the same with some external hardware enabled, while heating the MCU, the voltage suddently drop down when reachin a value of 2100 or so, it drops to 690 / 700 mV leading to a wrong temperature.What could be the reason of this ?Thanks

Hello everyone,I am working with a custom board featuring the STM32H7B0VBT6 microcontroller, which has only 128 KB of internal Flash memory. This is insufficient for my application, so during the board design phase, I included a W28Q128 external Flash chip to extend the memory.I am now attempting to configure the external Flash for use with the STM32, but I am struggling to find clear documentation or guides on how to integrate an external loader with the SEGGER J-Link debugger for programming and debugging.Has anyone successfully implemented a similar setup? If so, could you provide guidance or point me to relevant resources? I have a board with the STM32F407ZGTx, which has space for an SRAM/PSRAM expansion, using IS62WV51216BLL-55TLI. I installed it, everything was fine.I worked with the old 68000 processor, which had 2 signals, UBS and LBS if I'm not mistaken. Upper Byte and Lower Byte. It was 16 bits too... and I could create a char* variable (C++) in memory, and it would write normally to even and odd addresses (even addresses were d8-d15 and odd addresses were d0-d7). Well, here, on the STM32, it seems that the NBL[0-1] signals are useless. I set byte access (as in the images), configured everything, and it only writes 16 bits.I made a small test program below, and it doesn't work. It seems that it always writes 16 bits. Could someone help me?I want to do the basics. A char* variable, write sequentially, and read later in the same way. I thought the FSMC did the same thing as the 68000, since it works with memory.I even looked and searched on the NET, even in an Article,

I am using an 12MHz external oscillator. I checked the wiring from USB(PC) to MCU (PA10 - USB_DM, PA11 - USB_DP), clock settings (48MHz).

I searched on the datasheet of the STM32G431x6 , the maximum power that can be delivered, but found no values. Could someone tell me where to find that info?

I am working on a project with the STM32G0 series microcontroller. There is a requirement in my project to identify a BOR (Brown-Out Reset) independently. In the previous version of the project, we used the STM32L4 series, where there is a reset flag bit (BORRSTF) in the RCC_CSR register to specifically identify the occurrence of a BOR.In the STM32G0 series, there is a reset flag bit (PWRRSTF) available in the RCC_CSR register to indicate a power-related reset, which can be due to a BOR, POR (Power-On Reset), or PDR (Power-Down Reset). However, there is no dedicated reset flag for identifying a BOR alone.Is there any other method available in the STM32G0 series to specifically identify a BOR?

Hello,i have a question concerning the SD-Card functionality and the licensee fee of the SDMMC implementation of the STM32H723ZG.My goal is to log some data on the card. According to the documentation, the FatFs-Filesystem can be used under a BSD-style license. How About the SDMMC Protocol? The SD Association states that a licensee fee must be paid if you plan to develop a host device. Has this fee already been paid with the purchase of the STM32?
