As in picture above, STM32U5A9 can not be found in device catagory of IAR 8.50.4,how to config it?thank you. 

Posted on June 24, 2018 at 22:47Hi,When I compile a project, I get an error: '.\Objects\uygulama1.axf' - 1 Error(s), 0 Warning(s). Target not created. Then I click Download, I get an error: 'Flash Download failed - Could not load file'I tried to solve many times and searched on the internet, however it couldn't help me to fix the issue. I wonder why Keil can not make xxx.axf file. I use MDK-ARM Version 5.25I also have a project which has an .axf file. On my project, .axf the  couldn't found. So I copied the file from the project I have. I renamed the .axf file as 'uygulama1.axf'. This clearly worked.But I would like to fix the issue for the next projects.You can see the issue screenshots below.Thanks in advance.#flash-download-failed #target-not-created

Hello,I'm using the HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive() to communicate to a NOR flash via single SPI in polling mode using HW CS. I'm on H753 Rev.V silicon using the latest HAL library.I checked out the SS output management in master mode (SSOM=1) but made strange observations depending on the baudrate and MIDI settings. Hi, I am encountering an issue with mounting the SD card in 4-bit mode on my STM32F756ZG microcontroller. Despite using the BSP driver (bsp_driver_sd), the SD card fails to initialize and mount correctly, resulting in an initialization error and the FR_NOT_READY_ERROR status.Thanks&Regards

I am using the ADC on a Nucleo-L412KB board.   I am setting up the ADC for  single conversion once per second. I am getting digital values which are off, as though the Vref is up around 3.4 V.  I have an LM385 voltage reference as a source and have tried a precision bench supply (Power Designs 2005) and with either input, working the math backwards, it is as though Vref is about 100 mV off. I have read AN2834.  This is a simple "get acquainted" exercise, with the board right out of the box. Is there sometihng I could be overlooking?  Am I required to set up Vref?  Or is this handled by default with the HAL initialization? Clyde

I am using the hspi1 peripheral in HyperBus mode on an STM32U5G9 processor.I used STM32CubeMX to configure the hspi clock to 160 MHz, generated from the SYSCLK.  The hspi is configured with 0 Clock Prescaler with the intention of having an external 160 MHz hspi clock.I went to confirm my clock with a scope, and am only seeing ~140 MHz.  I changed the hspi "Free Running Clock" setting to "Enable" in CubeMX, just for better measurement, and the measured hspi clock speed dropped to ~95 MHz.Has anyone seen anything like this, or have any suggestions?Thanks,-Rob

 I had a program tested and running on a NUCLEO-F072RB for some time. Later I custom built my own PCB (using a STM32F072RBT6) and flashed the exact same code onto it using a STLINK-V3SET and the program did not work. I had no idea on why the program did not work. Later I decided to compare the memory data of my NUCLEO board and my custom PCB and identified that the address values look different one another. Later I did a firmware upgrade on my NUCLEO board and re programmed the board just to solve this program data mismatch. The device memory values now looked identical to that of the values on my custom PCB now. Since I tested and verified the functionality of my code on the NUCLEO board which apparently didn't have the latest firmware ran well and now after the upgrade it does not work as expected. First time designing for ST microcontrollers, so I thank you for your patience. I see by the datasheet that USART1 can be used as a LIN bus directly without a LIN bus transceiver, but I can't find any examples of how the hardware is implemented when that's set up. My assumption is that I need a 1kohm pull up to Vcc on the master and a weaker pull up on the slaves, connected to USART1_TX and leaving USART1_RX floating. Is this accurate? If not, how do I use the LIN bus peripherals on the STM32L5 series?

Heyho,until now I only used STM32 with the LAN8742, in a few weeks I'll get my 2nd custom board, but this time with the "dual" PHY KSZ8863RLL.It's connected via RMII, for setup MDIO (and optionally I2C for the registers not accessible via MDIO).Are there any known issues or "pitfalls" with this PHY?Thanks in advance,LCEPS: interesting that there is no "ETH" label... :D

Using stm32G474RE nucleo board and following this guide, i know my way around old "advanced" Timers from stm, im just getting started with HRTIMChanging PER register has effect in the PWM frecuency, but changing CMP1 doesnt do anything :(Im not able to change the duty cycle of the PWM , it remains 50% for any Compare register value 

Hi!Does anyone know if there is a chance there will be a launch of a one-chip-solution for any of these MCU-series during 2025?What I mean is an MCU with large built-in FLASH + RAM preferably with a LQFP100/144-package (like the U5-series).We are prototyping an industry application for smaller product series. The potential extra MCU cost for a chip with large built-in memory would be marginal. We are much more interested in an easier PCB-design, lower PCB manufacturing costs and not to mention an easier hardware maintainability over time.Thanks in advance for any comments  

Good morning everyone,I am considering buying a PSSI-compatible STM32. Beforehand, I would like to get in touch with some users who have already tried the interface out. I am considering PSSI to stream data out over 16 parallel lines at around 50-100MHz, and I was wondering whether such continuous, uninterrupted streaming is feasible in terms of DMA throughput. Any experiences, remarks, and questions are highly appreciated.Many thanks in advance. Mike

Hello,I look at the STM32F103RB datasheet and see that this microcontroller should have 2  ADCs. When I open Table 5 (see Figure 1 below in this post) in this datasheet, I see only ADC12_IN10 and so on, that is, only ADC12. Why?                               Figure 1  

I am starting a new project with the STM32L432. I need the RTC, but I don't understand how to manage the backup battery. This microcontroller doesn't have a dedicated VBAT pin. From what I understand, both the main power supply and the backup battery should be connected to the single power supply pin, and somehow the microcontroller should enter STANDBY mode when it detects that the main power supply is missing and is running on the backup battery to consume as little power as possible. Is that correct? But how does the microcontroller know which power source is supplying it, and how does it exit STANDBY mode when the main power supply returns? Is there a code and an example circuit diagram? Thank you

Hello ST,is there a document showing identical peripherals between STM32 MCUs / MPUs / types / families ?It would be really helpful before switching to another MCU / MPU to have an overview.Especially for the non-HAL users.Best would be evaluations like:- identical (from register to last bit)- very similar (same registers, a few bit differences)- different After having started with the F7 for an ethernet project, I switched to H7x3 - but if I had seen earlier that the M-series is in many ways identical to the H7 and the STM32CubeIDE supports "bare-metal" for the M family, I probably would have chosen that one.And now I just came across the new STM32N6 - and wonder which peripherals were "copied" from other types...

If I have 2 external devices, one mapped on GPIOC0 and another on GPIOG0 of the micro, so they generate the same EXTI0 interrupt, how is it possible to distinguish which of them is calling the interrupt? I mean, is it possible to read effectively the GPIO state (C0 or G0)? or doing this can cause any trouble?

1. Setup OTPThe default OTP configuration of the chip is to boot from norflash, so you need to modify OTP to boot from EMMC. (Note: OTP can only be modified once, please operate with caution!)Open STM32CubeProgrammer software, check OTP_FUSES_STM32N6xx in External loaders, as shown below.On the OTP page, change the boot_source of OTP11 of the STM32N6 chip to 2, indicating booting from EMMC1 (the default 0 is NorFlash booting), as shown below.

I am using an stm32c011 MCU and want to put my device into standby mode and then periodically wake it up (every 30s or so).I have seen guides which use the RTC to do that, but cube mx doesn't show me a WakeUp option on my RTCAm I missing something or how am I supposed to continue from here?
