  Hello,I am a student currently studying STM32 products.I am trying to implement a function using the TSC feature of STM32 to read a total of 10 touch values. I have been following various resources, but I keep encountering an issue where touching one port also causes the values of other ports to drop simultaneously.When I checked in debug mode, I noticed that both IOGXCR[1] and IOGXCR[5] respond at the same time.As far as I know, touch detection is shared within the same group if there are no specific pin settings. However, in this case, the groups are different, so I’m unsure why this is happening. Hi, I have an STM32G0B1CBT device on a custom board. MCU is working as I have already coded and tested other peripherals (I2C, UART etc..). I used the STM32CubeMX version 6.13.0 to configure the MCU as a USB host with CDC class following the example shown on this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC16Aon4crkThe only difference I have is that my device is self powered so I don't need the power pin feature. My issue is that when I connect a device, nothing happens. I placed two break points in the USBH_UserProcess function in the HOST_USER_CLASS_ACTIVE and HOST_USER_CONNECTION cases but execution never reach those states. Is there any reason for this?Thanks

Hello, STM32F407G DISC-1, STMCubeIDE I configured timer3 for generating PWM signal which is 1kHz with %70 duty cycle. I connected its pin(PB4)  to input capture channel(PA1). I use default HSI clock 16Mhz.  I can measure this PWM signal using logic analyzer. However, when I try to calculate its duty cycle with timer5 input capture mode, I always receive those values firstRise = 15559, secondRise = 31300. My expected value, difference of them should have been 100.Since one tick is 10us , and the period the PWM signal 1ms. 100 / 100000 = 1ms. What did I misunderstand? What might be the problem? Hello,I have a NOR SPI flash connected to single SPI interface of a H75x MCU and want to use the highest possible SPI frequency for data read. The core clock is 400MHz, so I can chose between 50 and 100MHz.According to the data sheets the "Clock low to output valid" time tv of the IS25WPxxx is 7-8ns, the H7 setup time is 1-2ns. This means the half period (SPI clock low time between falling and rising edge) must be at least 10ns. Assuming high and low pulse are the same, this means the max. clock is 50MHz in this simple calculation, which is not considering signal transmission delays, signal rise/fall times and switching voltages.I found out that most flash have implemented a "NORMAL READ" and a "FAST READ". Both differ in the max. SPI clock, for example 80MHz for READ and 166MHz for FAST READ transfer. Basic setting of USART2: DMA Transfer and receive via interrupt as RS485.As long as only DMA transfer is ongoing, all will be ok. At first time a receive interrupt will occur, the transmit will trigger an interrupt, even though no TXEIE is set. Hello, I am currently flashing an STM32F767 via the USART. I have no problems getting the device into DFU mode, initiating the flashing (Using STM32CubeProgrammer or stm32flash), etc., but the flashing time is between 6 and 7 minutes for the 1.3MB firmware image even at the maximum guaranteed baud of 115200. Having never utilized this flashing interface before, I'm not sure if this is expected.I was wondering if anyone knew if there were strategies to speed up the flashing over USART and/or an expected size vs flash time one could expect in this configuration?For reference, all my testing is being done on the NUCLEO-F767ZI via pins C11 and C10 using USART. Thank you,-Brian

Hi,i ran into quite an issue. Already took quite some time to figure out, how the outputs can be made to work the way (kind of) they should.Now i ran into an issue, when the outputs where not activated (Hi-Z). First it was not a problem, but i found, that the outputs will go high, and drive my driver, which is totally not acceptable!Further working with it, i found that when one output is disabled, it alters the function of the complementary. Like the washing machine is turning on when i flip the lightswitch.... Totally not expected. That should be easy to see, or clearly stated!I came back to the table which showed the states, and i just changed it, so i can actually work with it. It might be worth to change it in the manual. A table should be a "quick" look up thing, too much text does the opposite of help in my opinion.If my tone is a bit off, its because i am quite a bit frustrated having spend so much hours, and now fearing that

I'm currently using STM32l496G-DISCO for my project which requires to sample an analog signal and get certain amount of samples in certain time. I tried doing that using a PWM generated by a timer and my ADC1 is triggered by timer1. Activated DMA to store the samples in memory. Howerver the data retrived doesn't make sense. It seems to always give constant values of 4095 where as the scope shows a different wave form.  

Hi,I'm trying to talk to WS2812 RGB Leds. I'm using TIM1 CH3 PWM Output with DMA. Everything looks almost fine. I'm always sending the same data using:HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_DMA (&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_3, (uint32_t *) pwmData, (24 * NUM_OF_LEDS) + 50);Here pwmData sets a duty cycle of 33 % (20 of period 60, 48 MHz) for the first 13 cycles. In between I wait for 500 ms.But time to time (~1 out of 3) the second pulse behaves strange. Only the second pulse seems to randomly jump approx. from duty cycle 20 ... 80 %. All remaining pulses are correct.Thanks for any hint!

Hi,I'm tasked with creating the documentation for assesing the compliance of our product in regard to EN18031.The standard requires us to have checked if the relevant hardware has any publicly known security vulnerabilities. But when I asked our hardware guys about it, they just looked at me funny.Is there a document where ST would advise about publicly know side-channel attack vectors or things like that?The chip in question is a STM32L475.Thanks a lot :)Philipp

Anyone familiar with using I3C in HAL? I'm using I3C to talk to an IMU sensor and I got through DAA and can successfully perform private reads (can read from whoami and other registers also tested) but I couldnt get private writes to work.I followed 9.8 in this doc (\[Introduction to I3C for STM32 MCUs - Application note\](https://www.st.com/resource/en/application\_note/an5879-introduction-to-i3c-for-stm32h5-series-mcu-stmicroelectronics.pdf)) for Private read which works perfectly however we could not implement a working Private write anywhere in the documentation. GreetingsI am using STM32F030C8T6TR for ADC on two channels IN1 & IN3. It works. However I wanted to add DMA. When trying to add DMA , It shows on two channels channel 1 and channel 2 , Though the datasheet mentions DMA is available for 5 channels. I can add DMA for channel 1 - Peripheral to memory. However when I try to add a DMA for another channel It shows error "No DMA available for this peripheral". I could add DMA for the above channels in Memory to memory mode.for the ADC though. Is this OK can It my understanding that when using ADC, peripheral to memory should be used. In which case I can add only one of the two channels - channel 1 or channel 2. How does this work ? will memory to memory on both channels work as expected ? or is this some kind of version related error ? I use STM32CubeIDE1.15.0 on windows 7. Thank you.  

Hi ,We are working on configuring an ISSI Octal Flash memory in DTR mode on the STM32U5 platform and would like your assistance. We successfully executed the example provided for Macronix in document an5050 example (II. Octo-SPI FLASH in Regular-command protocol example ) flash to enable DTR mode and were able to perform both read and write operations. However, while trying to replicate the same for the ISSI chip that we have interfaced with STM32U5A9J-DK , we modified the instructions, dummy cycles, and address configurations based on the ISSI datasheet. Hello,I am trying small example LED blinking written in assembly only - see below. LED is placed to PB15. I am able to compile the program without error using this commands:arm-none-eabi-gcc -save-temps -nostdlib -nostartfiles -mcpu=cortex-m3 -ffreestanding -O2 led-stm32.s -o led-stm32.elfarm-none-eabi-objcopy -O binary led-stm32.elf led-stm32.binI am using "gcc-arm-none-eabi-10.3-2021.10-win32.exe". I am able to write the program to processor STM32F103C8T6 using STLINKV2, but nothing happend. LED on PB15 is no blinking, LED is no shining. Hi,I'm new to the ST32 world and would like to know if this is possible before I start experimenting with an STM32F405:Is it possible to use both USB interfaces as a USB host at the same time (only full speed and low speed, no high speed is required)For example, to connect a mouse to one USB port and a keyboard to the other USB port.If so, can I just use D+/D- of the ports, or do you need additional external components for the high-speed port also when I use it in HS/LS mode?If that works, is there any example software to use 2 HID hosts in parallel? Is there an evaluation board that has USB ports?

Hello,I need to understand the implementation of using output compare with timers  as a basis to tackle a more advanced project. My start point/goal is a timer with a period of 3 seconds and it toggles when CNT equals 800ms(CCR1). Clock is running at 32MHz. I started with CubeMX using timer 1 and the behavior is not as expected. It just toggles every 3 seconds. When CNT = CCR1 nothing happens.I then ditched CubeMX and the HAL altogether and wrote the code in bare-metal. Same result. I have tried using the debugger to monitor the registers but something is amiss. Hello! I am trying to implement a phase-shifting full bridge on the STM32F334 microcontroller using HRTIM. Two PUSH-PULL outputs and a phase shift between them, this is necessary for the LLC converter.I configured the master timer as an event source for timers A and BConfigured timer A and B as PUSH-PULL output.Event source for setting the output of timers A and B MSTCMP1 and MSTCMP2.By changing the value in MSTCMP2, I change the phase shift between timers A and B.This works, but periodically when changing the value of MSTCMP2, I get a phase shift between phases of 180 degrees and not the one that set it. Hi,I am using the STM32G474 with HRTIM for the propose and also STM32CubeIDE.Is there any specific guide to make a four outputs (90 grades) PWM with dead time?The duty cycle must be changeable as well.I already read the relevant reference manual and the HRTIM cookbook - Application note section 7 (Multiphase buck converter) when is described how to make a phase shift. There is also Cycle-by-cycle protection without deadtime insertion in chapter 8, but my goal os to make also phase shift and dead time.Thanks!!

I'm a little confused about the descriptions of the ADC VDDA, VREF+ and input voltage range.Do I understand it correctly thatVDD is the device supplyVDDA is the ADC supplyVREF+ is the ADC referenceIt says VREF+ can be supplied internally as 1.8 V, 2.048 V or 2.5 V. Range for external Vref+ 1.8V - VDDA.If I want to use an internal reference and I connect VDDA to VDD to save components what is then my input voltage range?Is the input voltage range VSS - VDDA, VSS - VREF+ or VSS - VDD?

Hi,We are using STM32L452 for our project.We have problem with pin NRST.We set a 30K pull-up resistor (with pull-down capacitor of 0.1uF).Sometime voltage on the NRST pin is 3.3V and sometimes it is 1.4V.In cases it is 1.4V the MCU is stuck.We think that in case of 1.4V happens because a pin leakage current.Do you have any solution for us ?Thanks
