I am using STM32F469BIT6 on a custom PCB with IS42S16400J-7TLI external 8Mb SDRAM. I am using STM32 with the following peripherals:TIM7 for frequency generationADC with DMADAC with DMATIM Interrupt (TIM_IT)My setup:Clock: 150 MHzPrescaler (PSC:( 3-1Auto-reload register (ARR:( 13-1128 samples for DAC to generate a 30 kHz signalWhen using these settings, the ADC half-complete and complete callbacks are triggered correctly, meaning ADC DMA is working. However, nothing seems to happen in the while(1) loop in main().What do you think could be causing this?Could it be related to TIM7 interrupt priority, DMA behavior, or CPU being blocked?Is the DMA transfer taking over

Dear ST Community,I have been working on the firmware which contains the AT commands modem, Winbond flash memory. After some time I have relised the microcontroller is automatically getting restarted/. I had doubt on the hardware then  we have redeveloped the complete hardware from known pcb designer, but again we are facing the same problem. I have printed the stack details also but not able to find the following issues: 1. Stack overflow.2. Buffer overflow.3. dereferencing unassigned memory.4. power supply issues.The restart is so random so that we are not able to understand and figure out the section. Dear Sir.I am using a board equipped with STM32U585 , The main clock is 32.768 khzsee included pic.PA8 is configured to drive LSE 32KHZ using the command__HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_HIGH);PA8 is fed to ECG MAX30001.On some boards MAX30001 reports pll lock problem.The signal of  32 khz on PA8 is shown at the attached video.Setting the parameter __HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_HIGH); to0 or RCC_BDCR_LSEDRV_0 or RCC_BDCR_LSEDRV_1 makes no change on the jitter1. Is this jitter is normal.Please Advise

Hello,I have a STM32L152RE and I use PA1 (Pin type is FT 5v tolerant) as ADC_IN1. Vdd is 3.3V and the voltage on PA1 usually is around 5V and sometimes it drops to 2.5V ( when I need to take the measure). Several comments on various blog said that usually is not possible have voltages above 4V even if the pin is FT if the pin is used as ADC. I searched everywhere in the datasheet and there is any note for the STM32L152RE. So I'd like to know if I can apply safely 5V on that pin.Regards,Riccardo

Hi, I have a STM32G474 connected to a Quectel LTE module via a uart4 and a GPIO pin.Under normal conditions is it possible for the CPU to boot from flash and when the quectel changes the level of the gpio pin of the STm32, the CPU jump to boot from uart4 to update the firmware?Is this the best solution, using a GPIO pin?Many Thanks.

I have created my first PCB with a STM32C011F6P6 on it, but I am not able to measure a GPIO I set high from my testpoint.I am setting PB6 high the following way:I flashed the code to the MCU via the cube ide and it told me that everything went fine.This is what cubemx generated for the gpio init:

The link on the bottom of page 158 is bad.There is no SBF flag in PWR_CR3, actually it is in PWR_SR1.   

I have made a PCB with the STM32C011F6P6 on it and am trying to program it via an ST-LinkV2. While trying it out yesterday, it connected just fine with the cube programmer. Now I am trying to do the same thing again, but both the cube programmer and the cube ide tell me that they can't connect.I have already upgraded the firmware via "stsw-link004".Does someone have an idea what might be causing this?Schematic of my MCU wiring:

The Reference Manual for STM32U0 series MCUs, RM0503 Rev2, specifies, in table 2 on page 57, that SRAM starts at 0x2000 0000 and ends at 0x2002 9FFF.  This is a contiguous region with a size of 168KB.  However, the Size column shows 40KB.  This document is confusing.  What is the correct size of SRAM?Furthermore, in section 2.3 on page 60,  table 5 lists 2  SRAM segments, SRAM1 (32KB) and SRAM2 (8KB).  These add up to 40KB, which is the size listed in table 2.  However, the locations of these segments within the SRAM region are not documented.  The table does not specify where the start addresses are, nor does it specify whether or not the two segments are contiguous or separated.What are the start addresses of SRAM1 and SRAM2?Why are they separated?What are the differences between these two segments?Is  there a different document that explains these in better detail?

I downloaded the STM32H753 SVD file from https://www.st.com/resource/en/svd/stm32h7-svd.zipI have found a number of discrepancies between this file and RM0433  (reference manual)That leaves me wondering if this file is outdated and a more recent, corrected version exists somewhere?Examples:FDCAN_DBTP is read-only access in SVD but read-write in RM0433FDCAN_RXF1C is missing F1OM (Bit 31) in SVD, exists in RM0433FDCAN_TEST

I am trying to create a custom keyboard, and I was trying to flash my board with stm32f070c6t6 MCU in DFU mode using cube programmer, but I keep getting "no DFU detected" (of course while pulling BOOT0 pin high).Also, every time I plug my device into my PC, the error message says, "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code43). A request for the USB device descriptor failed." I am new to this field, so I am running out of ideas. I put 16MHz crystal and set up 48MHz for USB, I configured the device description based on this website; https://controllerstech.com/how-to-use-stm32-as-a-keyboard/I pulled up D+ with a 1k5 resistor, I pulled down both CC1 and CC2 with 5k1 resistors.  

Hello,I am using the internal pull up for the input pins, but when read the port status using the program, it always reads 0 instead of 1. I expected it to read 1 and if make that pin grounded it shall read 0.   

Hello all,   I made my first "from scratch" STM32 board (in the past I always used demo boards).  I cabled JTAG connector  : I was able to flash and debug from CubeIDE in SWD mode with a Stlinkv2, but did not succeed in JTAG mode, don't know why but it is not my today's topic. Works ok for what I did at the time.  I used the internal clock (HSI RC) and my application worked well.   Then I wanted to add USB, so I had to use an HSE clock (it seems the HSI RC is not stable enougth). i added external quartz (ABLS 8 MHz with two 33pf capacitors), changed the clocking configuration from the Cube assistant, regenerated the code, then flashed. Now the chip is nor more accessible, it does not boot, and I can't flash it, even if I change the clocking setup to HSI RC again.   I have two questions :    - is there a way to get my board STM32F303 flashed again or is it dead ?    - Is th

I have set up a UART as receiver. I use circular buffer to copy the data in. Hi,I am using STM32H757 in one of our projects and operating the IC to power through Internal SMPS only and made the connections as mentioned in the datasheet. The VSSSMPS was connected to VSS of the IC which is a regular practice. With this connection, the STM failed to boot and VFB=VCORE in this case was 50mV always after flashing the FW.To rectify this, I tried to power the IC using internal LDO by scrapping of VSSSMPS traces (and making it an isolated GND). This rework made the IC boot up.VSSSMPS and VSS belong to the same IC and should have a common GND. If, it doesn't have a common GND, connecting VSSSMPS to VSS only make the return path of the SMPS longer. But not allowing the IC to boot is very very strange.Can you help me the explanation?Also, there is no mention of this in the layout guidelines of the datasheetAttaching schematic snapshot for reference.

I noticed the current draw of my STM32L011 increases after returning to stopmode from a RTC wakeup timer interrupt. The current remains higher until a reset is performed. I've narrowed it down to a minimal bit of code that reproduces the problem however I haven't found a way to avoid or fix the issue. Hello.I need 9 channel ADC data on STM32F030 MCU.I want to read ADC CH0, ADC CH1.... ADC CH8 in order. (PA0, PA1, .... PA7, PB0)  It will be a simple application. I don't need DMA. I could not change the channel in Regular Conversion. I tried to read two channels to try. I always read the data of channel 0. Hello, We are using the STM32H747AI on a custom board and attempting to enter standby mode for power savings. The system supply is configured as "SMPS supplies LDO (no external supply)" to be able to use the boosted performance at 480MHz, but the chip still draws around 20 mA in standby mode with the M4 core disabled. To verify these results, we performed the same measurements on the STM32H747I-DISCO board, modifying the jumpers to match the same supply configuration. The results were similar. Is there anything specific we must do to further reduce current consumption? 

Hello STM, I'm working on a project using the STM32H7R3L8H6H MCU with a PSRAM chip connected via HEXASPI to XSPM1. I'm encountering massive issues with the PSRAM initialization, which I described in a different post. I found a discrepancy between the RM0477 Reference manual documentation and the STM32CubeProgrammer during my tests.  The XSPI_TCR register is described like this in the RM0477: If I open the STM32CubeProgrammer register window, I find a DHQC flag on the register bit 28 position.

Hi,Ref.manual (RM0477 Rev 8) in chapter 32.3.3 PSSI clock saysIn case when PSSI transmitting data, then RDY pin is input.Datasheet (DS14360 Rev 2) shows setup and hold time of RDY pin (input) referenced to rising edge as well as data pins (outputs).I think that's a contradiction. So how is it really and to which edge do RDY setup and hold times relate ?Thanks,Michal Dudka

I tried flashing a project created for the STM32H745I-DISCO board in CubeMx. I configured clock speed for the M7 core to 480MHz and the M4 core speed to 240MHz. After flashing, if i disconnect the board, the deadlock occurs. Then i have to pull up the boot0 pin and erase full memory in-order to get out of deadlock. Even then, if i disconnect again after flashing the problem repeats.If my clock frequency is less than 400, It is working fine. I guess it is the problem of power supply selection. Anyone has solution? Thanks.
