Hi, I am curious about one thig. I am using STM32F070CBT microcontroller which has LQFP48 package. My curiosity is about 3rd and 4th pins. In datasheet these pins additional  functions are OSC32_IN and OSC32_OUT respectively. In my project, i did not intend to use these pins as external oscillator. Am i have to initialize these pins to use as GPIO and disable HSE oscillator( even if i did not use it as an oscillator) ?

Hello to all,We are trying to take over the JPEG_EncodingFromFLASH_DMA example from ST running on the STM32F769I_EVAL board.The original ST software runs fine on the board.However all the ram data is linked starting from 0x20000000, which is the tightly coupled DTCM Ram.As in our project the DTCM Ram will be used for Stack and Heap because of its speed, we recompiled the ST example to link the data into 0x20020000. (This SRAM is accessible via the busmatrix only)If we do this the pixel data in the jpg image is distorted. It is still possible to recognize the original picture, but with lots of pixel erros in it.So the question is: Why is it essential to have the Input/Output DMA buffers (for feeding the JPEG encoder with data) located in the fast DTCM Ram? When the JPEG encoder triggers a DMA request how is it synchronized if the DMA cannot become a busmaster in the busmatrix immediately?As the fault can be provoked easily by just linking

Dear,    We are working on a custom design which has PDR_ON pin floating. The board is already fabricated and assembled.    The part number is STM32H7A3AII6Q.    Please let us know if this has any consequences on normal operation of the MCU and if so, what's the wayout.Regards-Shubhendu

Hi All,I am working on " STM32F103xE" controller. I am using internal RTC for the application. I am using internal RTC's backup register to store some Checksum value that can be used by application. We have connected the Vbat supply also to keep the operation intact.Suddenly we have observed few of the devices started giving errors as the checksum stored in backup register got cleared automatically.Upon checking the batter voltage, it is in a good condition and we are not clearing the backup registers from software also(using backup domain reset). We are unable to track what could be the possible reason that can clear the backup registers.If we again write the checksum in backup register, device start working properly.Can someone please help to debug this issue. Any help will be appreciated.TIA. 

HiI'm using nucleo_u575zi board. Connected three external switches to PB0, PB1 & PB2 pins.By default, the pins are low, the pins are configured as:   /*Configure GPIO pins : EXT_PIN3_Pin EXT_PIN1_Pin EXT_PIN2_Pin */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = EXT_PIN3_Pin|EXT_PIN1_Pin|EXT_PIN2_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct);   The NVIC is also enabled. The EXT callback is not getting triggered, not sure what is the issue and how to verify that in debug mode whether it's getting called or not, can someone help me to debug and trace what might be the issue.Attaching the main.c and .ioc files below.Thankyou.

Hi,My problem: how to configure DAC so that CPU core clock and DAC kernel clock can be asynchronous (i.e: 250MHz and 70MHz)?Details:- my hardware is based on the STM32H523CET6- configuration:  - SYSCLK (HCLK) running at 250MHz (with PLL1 from HSE=TCXO @26MHz)  - TIM7 generates a 48kHz rectangle signal  - DAC1 is triggered by TIM7 trgo  - PLL2 configured for PLL2R=70MHz- code loop:  - pulling on TIM7 SR's UIF bit (update interrupt flag) until it is set  - clear UIF bit  - toggling DAC out between 0 and 0xFFF0 values  - loop again (infinitly)- results:  - when DAC is clocked by HCLK (ADC,DAC Clock Mux = HCLK): OK :)  => output is toggling with a rectangle frequency of 24kHz (as expected)  - when DAC is clocked by PLL2 (ADC,DAC Clock Mux = PLL2R): KO :(  => output is randomly togglingMy feeling

Hi to All I would like to try a configuration for GPDMA1 for STM32H503CBU6 using memory to memory. I will would like to use a Link-Lists. Source will be two different array of DATA Bytes inside the Flash Memory and Destination will be the GPIOB. It will be circular mode just to try out the configuration. Is this possible? If possible, what settings will be there for GPDMA1_CxCR, GPDMA1_CxTR1,GPDMA1_CxTR2, GPDMA1_CxBR1, GPDMA1_CxSAR, GPDMA1_CxDAR, GPDMA1_CxTR3, GPDMA1_CxBR2 and GPDMA1_CxLLR? I have read the manual regarding memory to memory but i'm not satisfied with the explanation. Maybe someone out there would be kind enough to share some knowledge.   thanks and best regards

Hi,I've successfully generated a sine wave using stm32 DAC. The current generated sine wave has the following properties; where min amplitude is 0 to max amplitude 4096 and the zero crossing is at 2048. I'd like to shift the output sine wave amplitude to where min amplitude -2048 to max amplitude 2048 and zero crossing is at 0. Are there any registers or methods i can use to achieve this task?  Best Regards,Vu

Hi @Peter BENSCH Greetings of the day!I am using the controller STM32G491MCT for one of my development project. It is given in the datasheet that the VIL of the FT pin is 0.25*VDD & 0.3*VDD. My input signal fall within the range of 0.753V to 3.83V.Considering the worst case 0.25*3.3 which is 0.825V. When estimating noise margin, 0.825-0.753 equals 0.072mV.Could someone clarify whether the 72mV is sufficient to pull the logic low?Anticipating the earliest response.Thanks & RegardsMahalakshmi S

Hi,If I understand right USART1 is used in STM32H747I-DISCO board for VCOM. I could not find any example for my board. I would like to want for an 8-byte host command using:HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart1, hostCommand.buffer, 8); Once a command is received then I process it, I create the answer and wait for the next command. So simple. Noe: on CN13 pin 13 I see the command from my PC on scope, but the HAL_UART_RECEIVE_IT() never receives anything. Can sombody send me a short example?Thanks,Louie

Hello!Is any body aware about how to wakeup a STM32 series MCU from sleep over I2C? So far I was aware of wake-up over GPI/Brown out Reset etc, but wake up over I2C?? Is this really possible? Please let me know if anyone has prior experience at this. Have a great day!

i am using stm32f41ceu6 with RTC and RCC in that we are using LSE  with 100HZ if i set  Alarm  for 1H or more then still working but after 2 or 3 days it wakeup early befor one Minexample i set alarm at 11:30 then it will wakeup after one hour that time after 2 or 3 days wakeup day 11:29there need of any other calibration or any other solution  

Hello, Hope you're well. I want to create a waveform using a Hardware Timer and DMA. Upon looking at other posts in the forum, it seems the best approach from what I have seen is to use a Timer in Output Compare Mode along with a DMA to transfer the pulse/waveform data from memory to the compare register.Using a discovery board (STM32-F4), I set up timer 2 channel 3 in output compare mode to toggle and also DMA in circular mode to transfer half-words from memory to peripheral. And I initialized with HAL_TIM_OC_Start_DMA(). However, there is no observed changes on the output pin.I have set up CubeMX as shown below and attached is the generated code. I appreciate any help setting this up, thank you.

Hello everyone, I'm really in crisis. I have a STM32F303VC discovery microcontroller and I'm developing a program to make it communicate with LABVIEW through USART. LABVIEW can communicate only through the COM ports of the PC. The problem is that when I go to connect my board to the pc, it is read as a USB device and not as 'STMicroelectronics STLink Virtual COM port'. How can I fix? I'm trying in every way, installing drivers etc but the problem persists. p.s. I have windows 10 and I can debug the program

Hello guys, I am currently creating a drone using a BluePill STM32F103 and IDECube. I need to read PWM signals from a receiver (FS-IA10B) that provides me a 50Hz signal with a duty cycle between 5% and 10% (I am using a flysky transmiter)I don't have enough timers on the BluePill (only x4) to read PWM with the function 'Combined Channels' and, at the same time, generate PWM using the function 'PWM Generation.' So, I came up with the idea to use EXTI pins to measure the high state of my 4x pins. The results I got are really precise, but the problem I am currently facing is that I randomly get some 'spikes' on some of the 4x pins.For information, I am using Timer1 with a prescaler of (72 - 1) and counting to 65535 in order to have a resolution of 1us. Hello, as the title goes: is it at all possible to enable both DMA and an analog window watchdog (AWD1) simultaneously on the ADC4?What I'm trying to achieve is the following:ADC4 configured to operate in Stop2 mode and triggered by LPTIM1/CH1 (PWM), clocked by MSIK.AWD1 enabled and also in autonomous mode so it works in Stop2 mode and can wake-up the CPU.DMA enabled at the same time and filling a buffer with the ADC4 acquisitions, same channel as the one which has AWD1 enabled, using LPDMA1, also configured to work autonomously in Stop2.I managed to make the first 2 points work and I'm pretty happy with the results: I get an average current of ~ 7 µA (SMPS enabled) in Stop2, with ADC4 sampling at 500 Hz autonomously (triggered by LPTIM1/CH1) and AWD1 working as expected. Hi,I have interfaced an STM32H723 to an MRAM that is SRAM compatible, using FMC.. The memory is SRAM compatible, 20bit address and 16bit data. The main control pins for the memory are: CHIP ENABLE (~E), WRITE ENABLE (~W) and OUTPUT ENABLE (~G). FMC clock is 64MHz. System clock is 64MHz.The problem(s):1. in my example, HAL_SRAM_Read_16b works correctly. ~E and ~G are triggered, and data is read correctly. 2. in my example, HAL_SRAM_Write_16b does not trigger either ~E, nor ~W. Hello everyone, I am writing some code to control an IS31FL3736 LED Matrix Driver which communicates over I2C. I am using a Nucleo H563 as the devboard. I have 4.7k pullup resistors on the SDA and SCL lines. I am using I2C4 with PG6 & PG7 as the SDA & SCL pins respectively. The problem I am running into is that occasionally when I try to call HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(), both the data and clock lines get pulled low by the microcontroller. The original call to HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit() fails because of a timeout, and all successive calls to HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit() timeout. The only status bits I see set in the peripheral's I2C_ISR are TXE and BUSY. I didn't see any behavior like this listed in the errata, as well as I cou

Hi Everybody,     I am facing a wired issue in programming the  mcu . I have designed  a custom borad with STM32F411CEU6 (QFN-48 package). DFU mode is is properly detected.  But whenever I am trying to connect the mcu  with STM cube programmer in dfu mode mcu gets resets.   Some of the things I have observed:      1. VCAP(1.3067V on vcap pin) Voltage drops  by 0.3V while trying to connect with cube programmer.      2. MCU connects easily if I apply a little bit of heat . Disconnects again as soon as the mcu cools down. This kind of behaviour  I have never seen with ST mcu.       3. DFU mode successfully deteted by the pc.      Actions taken :         1.
