Hello ST, 1. ds12736 Rev.4 states in Table 24 that the abs. max. voltage on any pin is at least +4.0V (but this may be further limited by an injection current limitation) 2. ds12736 Rev.4 states in Note 4 on p.145: "Positive injection (when VIN > VDDIOx) is not possible on these I/Os and does not occur for input voltages lower than the specified maximum value." 3. ds12736 Rev.4 states in Table 25 that I_inj(pin) is specified as -5/+0 mA on all pins. 4. AN4899 Rev.3 says on p.13: "Positive-injection current is the current induced when VIN > VDD." and "0 mA means that current injection can damage the GPIO and induce STM32 malfunction."   These statements taken together seem to be contradictory. So the question: May STM32L562 GPIO pins be driven in a range from 0 V to 3.3V when VDD and/or VDDIO is unpowered or below 3.3V? The datasheet seems to imply "Yes", but AN4899 seems to indicate the opposite in the context of the specif

Hello, this is DK.I am working on a project using stm32f429IIt6.I'm currently having an I2C problem at the end of my project.I2C1 uses PF 0, 1 / I2C2 uses PB 6, 7. The HW PCB completed, and the HW I2C pull up is the same.In I2C1 HAL code, the entire initialization does not work, and if I2C2 is used with the same code, it works well.I am using various Pheripherals such as TIM Interrupt. Is there any conflict?Is there any difference between I2C1 and I2C2?In the TIMER part, it appears to share APB1.

Hi,STM32H533 datasheet (DS14539 Rev 2) in table 88 says that RDY input setup and hold time are both 0.5ns. From my naive point of view it looks like superb value (RDY have to be stable only +-0.5ns around CLK edge). Isn't that a typo ? (STM32H7 PSSIs hold time is about 5.5ns)Thanks,Michal Dudka

Hi, i'm developing a board with 7" lcd (LVDS) so i'm really hesitating about if is right to use a SN65DSI83 for this, my STM32F469IIT6 only have 2 DSI Lanes. I'm connecting the i2c lane from SN65DSI83 to i2c of STM, i just copied the circuit of cm4-baseboard-lvds-adapter (https://github.com/antmicro/cm4-baseboard-lvds-adapter) and adapted to mind. So i'm really new in this kind of applications and i don't know if i should first read the registers of SN65DSI83 and then change (i want to implement a logic that if the registers are correctly configured just read and pass but if these are not right, my stm32 write the registers) or if every time that i have turn on my circuit, the STM32 should configure all registers. So some one have a tutorial for write on the screen with the comand mode? I just make some changes but i think in the future will put only springs for my

I am currently choosing an LSE and HSE crystal for an STM32H743 project. AN2867 includes tables of compatible STM32 crystals. There is also a crystal selection tool from ECS which i've used. My question is, after selecting a crystal from the tables, is there still a need to perform any of the steps outlined in section "4.2: How to select an STM32-compatible crystal"? Is it enough to simply select a crystal from the table, follow the board layout guidelines, and check the crystal frequency with an oscilloscope? Thank you. 

The USB Host seems to not work if WFI is executed in the FreeRTOS Idle task.  Is it not possible to use USB with a WFI Core sleep?Thanks for any insight.  A forum search yielded mention of similar problems on other devices (over years!) but no definitive (or even helpful) answers/solutions/explanations.

I'm asking because I've done the steps shown in the screenshot. But, many libraries are missing!

In my application, I have a watchdog timer that resets every 45 seconds if not fed. I also have an RTC. The application records sensor samples, along with timestamps from the RTC.Problem is, when there is a watchdog reset, the RTC is re-initialized to default date and time. This messes up the sample/timestamp collection.Are the RTC time/date values still maintained even when there is a watchdog reset? Would it make sense to skip setting the default date/time when a watchdog reset has been detected?Thanks.

Hello everyone,I hope you’re all doing well! I’m currently struggling to get one of the directly connected ADCs on the STM32H723ZG working at 75 MHz, which is the maximum sample rate according to the datasheet.I’ve selected ADC3_INP1 since it’s supposed to be one of the four fastest channels available. I’ve attached a picture of my configuration, but I’m having trouble with the clock setup. The system can't find any configuration that achieves the desired 75 MHz for the ADC. The best I’ve managed is to manually adjust PLL2 to get bit higher than 76 MHz, but that doesn’t feel quite right. I need high accuracy for several measurements, and I know the MCU cannott exceed 75 MHz for the direct ADCs at 12 bits. As you can see in the picture of the clock configuration, the system is connected to a 50 MHz external crystal, and the system clock is set to 300 MHz. I am using STM32F410RB Nucleo Board for my developement. When I am creating new project chossing the same board STM32F410RBTX_RAM.ld Files is Missing. Due to which I am not able to flash my board and getting error.On the other hand I tried selecting different board while creating the new project. So I choose STM32F411RE board and STM32F411RETX_RAM.ld file got generatedPlease guide me through this.

I have configured the comparator 2 PB6 on the STM32G071RB Nucleo board. It is configured for rising edge interrupt.  As soon as HAL_COMP_Start is called on the COMP you can see the EXTI rising edge interrupt flag immediately go high. (well not immediately, it happens when HAL_COMP_Start is in its startup wait loop so presumably as soon as the COMP peripheral physically starts up.) This happens even if I change it to falling edge but I guess that should be expected. but certainly not reliably both!It seems that this is how the MCU works as I can't find any obvious mistakes in the LL or HAL driver startup function. I have seen several posts to this effect over the last 4-5 years with 1 to 2 replies but no solution.  I think the reference manual needs to mention that this will happen as it seems to be an MCU behavior. Hello,We have run into some issues regarding SPI in interrupt mode, especially when building with optimizations turned on. We are running SPI at 21MHz.The situation:We transmit one byte using HAL_SPI_Transmit_IT. This immediately triggers a TXE interrupt which puts our one byte into the DR register to be send by the peripheral. The hal interrupt routing checks if any more bytes must be send before calling the user callback to let us know the transmit is finished. All good so far. We then want to receive 3 bytes using HAL_SPI_Receive_IT. The hal will start by sending out dummy bytes, again the TXE interrupt is called where a byte is put in the DR register. This IRQ returns and we wait for an interrupt for TXE letting the us know we can put the next byte in the DR register. During this second TXE IRQ the first byte is clocked out and now our receive buffer contains a byte, setting the RXNE flag. If I have a bare h753 MCU on my custom board. What connection in terms of communication peripherals and connectors do I need to achieve. Basically, I want to bootload the MCU. The next step is to be able to program, monitor, test simultaneously. From my understanding, I need to have a JTAG/SWD pinouts/connector on the PCB to be able to bootload the MCU which can also be used to program/monitor the MCU. Upon reading the AN2606, I can bootload the MCU with SPI or CAN also, am I right in assuming that? Also while working with the nucleo board for the same, whenever I wanted a print statement on the computer I used UART, so do I need an USB-UART bridge to interface between USB data lines and initialized UART pins on the MCU? currently I am interfacing the USB data lines after required ESD protection directly to the USB_OTG_FS peripherals initialized separately.

I need to include external SDRAM but want to keep my PCB footprint as small as possible, so I’m leaning toward a BGA-packaged SDRAM rather than the typical TSOP.Right now, I’m looking at the Micron MT48LC16M16A2B4-6A (which I believe is a 256 Mbit / 16-bit SDRAM, rated up to around 166 MHz). My plan is to run it in 16-bit mode at about 100–133 MHz using the STM32’s FMC SDRAM interface.A few questions I have:Is the MT48LC16M16A2B4-6A a good choice for this processor/package if I want a small BGA footprint?Are there other similar BGA SDRAM parts I should consider that might be easier to source or have better lead times? Hi,I am trying to erase and write to stm32u545 flash.The memory partition is such that, I am dividing each Flash bank 256kb into secure and non secure regions.first 8 pages are secure and rest of the bank are non secure.I am running my code from Bank 1 and experimenting on writing to secure and non secure sections in bank 2.My code is running as secure code and I am able to write/erase to first 8 pages successfully.When I try to erase 9th page [Non -Secure], I am encountering TZIC illegal access error.I know that I am trying to access non secure page from secure, so what settings do I need to ensure that I can access it?I have options bytes configured correctly based on my memorymap. Hi everyone,I’m working on a custom bootloader for an STM32H750 and need some help. My goal is to be able to update the unit from USB and for doing so I use an external eeprom to store the MCU FW and load it into RAM at startup. The main reason to use the RAM to execute the code is that the h750 flash is 128KB and it can only be erased by 128KB sector. I can succesfully write the code into the eeprom and load into ram at startup (address 0x20000000). Hey everyone,I have an odd problem with a STM32H563VGT6.I have configured several GPIO as inputs with no pull-up/ no pull-down. The pins are wired to an external 10k pull-down and a DIP-Switch which is directly connected to +3V3. (screenshot below).When all switches are off, I read and measure +0V on my pins. If I set one switch to active so it connects +3V3 to the MCU-Pin this pin reads a high and I can measure +3V3 with an osciloscope. The weird thing is now that I can also measure something between +1.7V and 2.9V on the other lanes, even though thex should be low and pulled down by the 10k resitor. I tried to work with the internal pull down of the mcu with the same results. I tried to configure 3 of the pins to output and set them to low. The remaining pin was set as input. After I switched the respective switch to high I got the same result and even the pins which should drive the lanes active low got some voltage somewhere between 1.7V and 2.3V.I wo

I got a NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q board and downloaded all the docs and software (en.stm32cubeh7-v1-12-0.zip).When I go to C:\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.12.0\Projects\NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q, there’s just a read.me file that says: “All projects available under Projects\NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q are fully compatible with NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q board.”I follow the “C:/STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.12.0/Projects/Archives/STM32CubeProjectsList.html” documentThe only device that’s close is the STM32H745ZI which I select. It then displays the alert “The device STM32H745ZI_CM7 is not recognized by TrueSTUDIO.”What component am I missing? Also, where's the STM32CubeMX file for the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q board?

Hello,I am currently working on an embedded project using an STM32G071 microcontroller. Due to the complexity of the application, I am running into limitations with the internal flash memory of the microcontroller. I am exploring the possibility of using an external SPI flash (MX25L6433F) memory to overcome this limitation.Can external SPI flash memory be seamlessly integrated with STM32 microcontrollers to compensate for insufficient internal flash? If possible, how can this be implemented?   

 To continue my studies, I need a Nucleo Board that has a µCU that is similar to the STM32H743ZIT6. Which would be the most suitable?

Hi guide, I am working with stm32u585 interface with Ext-Flash. I have SBSFU code in that I am doing external flash initialization(Indirect mode) in Boot code (boot_platform_init) to check firmware is available for update or not . Then after switching to secure next Non secure. In Non secure part I am doing initialization(Indirect mode) again and Reading / writing / erasing is working. after that I am switching to Memory map mode and I am getting memory map enable success command  and trying to read the data at address 0x70000000, then program got stuck here .  can anyone help me , what may be the issue?
