Hello,I found this schematic and layout with a stm32f103c8t6. I ordered it and wanted to programm it.With stm32cubeprogrammer I detect the stm32 no problem via ST-LINK.Same with stm32cubeide I can download successfully the code.But now the problem is that eventhough the code is downloaded successfully the simple program to blink a pin to which I attach a diode is not working and I don’t see why.I also want to be able to send data from my computer to the STM32 with USB but after downloading the code with "usb_device.h" and MX_USB_DEVICE_Init();, deconnecting ST-LINK and connecting with USB the STM32 is not recognized by the computer.Any idea of what I could look for or ressources ?If you see any problem in the design please tell me.Regards,Jean

Hi,I am using STM32G070RB for a modbus based product. Hello everyone,I'm working on the µc STM32H5, I have an application that runs correctly, and when I configure the threadX in the project for which I've configured the TIM6 as the basic timer and I've released the SysTic for the threadX using CubeMx. I've had a problem with the HAL_Delay API, which doesn't work outside my configured tasks because the TIM6 handler isn't triggered and consequently the uwtic doesn't increment any more.In NVIC I've configured a priority of 15 for the TIM6.After debugging I found that the TIM configuration is correct but the Handler is not triggered.  Any feedback is appreciated!

Hello all, I am trying to start my application after uploading it over UART with STM32CubeProgrammer CLI.My command looks like this:STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=COM8 baudrate=115200 -w LED_Blink.bin 0x08010000  --verify --go 0x08010000But my program is not starting (I don't see the LED blinking). But if I do a power cycle, the program starts normally.In the future I would need the program to start after it was uploaded without a power cycle. Has anyone had the same issue? Or am I missing something? 

Hi,We have a design that at normal temperatures runs fine (21C). If it goes below 0C it starts failing to boot.The system has the Secure Boot Secure Firmware Update (SBSFU) system on it. We found that putting a delay at the start of the main() function in bl2_main.c seems to allow it to run. The delay needs to be about half a second.Then as we reduce the temperature towards -40C we find we need to increase the delay to over a second to get it to work.Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas what could be going on?ThanksNigel

Using twin STM32H7B3I EVAL boards to develop master and slave firmware.Found that slave board was experiencing overruns on SPI slave receive.Revised SPI slave implementation to use DMA.Found incredibly bizarre data corruption, after some number of good packets moved from EVAL master to EVAL slave.SCB_InvalidateDCache_by_Addr was called after each DMA receive completion to invalidate the data cache for the receive buffer.However, once data cache was completely disabled, data corruption of receive DMA packets ceased.Are there any timing or special considerations for the use of SCB_InvalidateDCache_by_Addr?

Will using APM 32 MCUs produced and sold by GEELY company instead of STM32 cause any license violation?

Hi,I am learning the CAN communication based on register programming. For now, I dont have anything complicated on my mind, dont have any filters or queues set up for CAN packets, my goal is to start a simple data transfer via CAN between my STM32 and ESP32 acting just as a dummy echo transceiver. I wrote code aiming for 1 Mbps speed (its not crucial, but 1 mbps should not be a problem even on a breadboard), 11 bit identifier, 1 byte data length, no crc, I am using TJA1050 as transceivers for both ESP and STM. My CAN_Setup function is verified with the debugger, it does exactly what its asked for (in terms of bit manipulation). However, problems occur when I try to transmit a byte of data in the CAN_transmit function. Some actual data is generated on the TX line, but its completely wrong (thats not the main problem considering its only development phase.) I can not write any data to the TIR, TDTR and TDLR register (but the mailbox itself is free, its not in the pending state).

I have developed as much as I can using a stm32F746G-disco.   Now I need to make a custom board. I need to be able to allow for firmware updates on the custom board.  I will use st-link for most of my development, but would like to leave that it off the board.   What do you suggest to use as a means to be able to update the firmware in a final product.   I do not have a need for USB OTG in my project, but maybe use it just for updates?Micro Sd, USB OTG FS or HS?  Something else? I appreciate any suggestions!

Howdy,I am working with the STM32U575 and wanting to use the lower power capabilities of the ADF. The problem is that, for me to get the use I am looking for out of the ADF, I need to operate it constantly at 4 MHz. For this reason, I want to maintain the HSE when the system enters stop mode 2. I know that this is not directly supported, but I was wondering if there is a way to do this anyway. I was also thinking that it could be possible to disable all the peripherals manually in a similar way as stop mode 2 and put the system in sleep mode. My one hesitation for this method is that I would need to dedicate so much time to finding every peripheral's interrupt register and disabling them. Any suggestions on how I should handle this would be much appreciated. Hope you all have a wonderful day. :)

Hello,we have now a bit peculiar problem. In our device, there is a main board and daughter boards connected by SPI bus. All MCUs are STM32F401. The main board works as SPI master, the daughter boards work as SPI slave, with DMA in both cases. The SPI is used in half-duplex-like mode, so when the masters transmits, the slave is silent and vice versa.Transmitting from the master works fine. The slave receives also without errors, but when it start transmitting back to the master, it sends three erroneous bytes on the beginning. After this, the correct data are transmitted OK except the last three bytes which are left out. The first two bytes are always 0xFF, the third changes but with no discernible pattern. Moving buffers in memory does not help. Note that we don't use HAL, all programming is directly to bare metal.

Howdy,I am currently working with a STM32U575 and currently having a problem with the ADF. I am trying to use the SAD to detect when someone is talking in the environment. When the MinNoiseLevel for the SAD is set to 0, the system remains locked in monitor mode after the learn mode. Then, when the MinNoiseLevel for the SAD is set to anything above 0, the system remains locked in detect mode after the learn mode. Additionally, the ambient noise level (ANLVL) appears to be calculated properly to a degree in the learn state, but the ANLVL drops to 3 and stays there when the MinNoiseLevel is set to 1. I was wondering if anyone here might know what the reasoning for this is? I have also attached all the configs I am using for the ADF in a C file to this post. Any help would be much appreciated. 

I had a question regarding the bootloader, more specifically, the for the F429 variant. On app note AN2606, they list the embedded bootloaders. For the F42XXX and F43XXX variants, they list two different bootloader ID's. How do you know which one you will have ahead of time? I was going to use the F429, but I was planning on programming it over SPI, which would not be possible if my ID is 0x70.Also, the same app note lists the many configuration of how to enable the bootloader(Table 2). Hello everybody. I asking now for some help on my new project. On my stm32 u575zit-q i want send some bits, as master, on the FPGA EP2C5T144C8N as slave. This FPGA board is very simple (have no other peripherals on it). So i want send by means SPI, four bits in one pin of the FPGA. I know how write code for the SPI in stm32 using MOSI, CS, but now i am focused on SCK (serial clock) that the FPGA need to use for read some bit. I tried to found some on the web but i didnt. Have some one things to help me? On CUBE IDE i see the baude rate (Mbits/s for example set to 1 Mbit/s), but what aboout the SCK that the stm32 board transmit on the SPI pin? I have one idea of how i can implement and i share this with you: on CUBE IDE, if i knew the sck frequency, then i can set some check on my FPGA for read on the rising edge of the sck line, the data sending on the MOSI line of the STM32 board and load this value in some interna register of my FPGA to use it as I need later.  

Hi,I am using PSSI on STM32H7R3 to transmit data with DE output signal and RDY input signal (flow control). Incoming clock frequency is 60MHz. Data buffer is located in AHBSRAM1 and have size 4096 bytes. GPDMA feeds PSSI buffer by 32bit access (four bytes at once). Application while loop waits until DMA transfer complete and then restarts transfer again. Most of the time everything works OK, PSSI correctly reacts on RDY signal by "stopping" transmission (repeating data until RDY asserted), DE signal also works correctly except for one moment. I'm just getting started with STM32 microcontrollers and I have been using the NUCLEO H753ZIT6. I was trying to learn how to use multiple channels of ADC's with DMA. I was able to get some data when I used a single channel ADC normally. But now I'm not even able to get any data when I put the ADC data storing array in the "Live Expressions" tab. I have also tried to use timers to make the ADC conversions happen at a frequency of 10Hz. I have attached images of how I've setup the ADC and Timer. My timer configuration has a prescaler of 64000-1 because the Timer clock is running at 64 MHz. My ADC is running at a clock of 40 MHz because I thought if its less then it may work. I have also tried the "Continuous Conversion Mode" in the ADC setting and the "Circular mode" in the DMA setting but none of them work. Hello everyone,I am developing firmware for the STM32F7508-DK discovery board, and I'm utilizing TouchGFX for the GUI aspect of the project. However, I am encountering a problem when enabling USB-FS HOST functionality. The GUI and other peripherals such as UART and I2C are functioning correctly. However, as soon as I connect a device to the USB port on the discovery board, the device is detected, but subsequently, the entire board freezes. Specifically, the USBH_UserProcess callback is invoked, and the HOST_USER_CONNECTION line is executed, but afterwards, the system becomes unresponsive. I would greatly appreciate any insights or potential solutions to address this deadlock issue.Thank you

Hi,I am using stm32WB5MM, I have bootloader which is located on regular start address 0x8000000.Bootloader executes image which is located on some other location (location is divisible by 0x400 as required).For that image I changed linker file and xxx_system.c where I changed location of vector table. And that is working.I have problem when that image utilizes BLE, in that case device doesn't start advertising. When the same image is executed from regular start address everything is working. Is there some issue with CPU2 when image is not located on regular start address? Thanks!

Configured the controller stm32l151c8t6a to work in low power run mode ( UART peripheral running) but the current consumption is going upto 6.2mA. After disabling the uart peripheral the consumption decreases upto 4.2mA. In real situation we are going to use SPI,DAC,ADC and UART so in reality the consumption will not decrease but increase. So is there any way of decreasing the current consumption upto 3.8mA?

In "Memory Mapping" section of the datasheet, the SRAM2 Address is indicated as 0x2001-C000. The actual Address should be 0x2000-C000 since from what the reference manual says, both SRAM1 and SRAM2 are mapped at 0x2000-0000. AHB1 Bus address has a missing digit, 0x4002-000

I was trying to change an option byte from the embedded bootloader of an stm32u5 over canFD.  Long story short I sent it some messages that were not formatted correctly and It looks like I have bricked the chip.  Trying to connect in stm32cubeprog with my st-link over swd I getError: ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_HELD_UNDER_RESET)I have measured voltage on the reset line and it is 0.0v, I tried to pull it high through a 10k resistor and I still get the same error.  The most interesting part of this is when I ran "st-flash reset" I get the following outputst-flash 1.8.0 2025-01-26T20:22:12 INFO common.c: STM32U5Fx_U5Gx: 3026 KiB SRAM, 0 KiB flash in at least 8 KiB pages. Failed to reset deviceNotice the 0 KiB of flash, but it still identifies the chip and sram.  Any other ideas to try before I desolder and replace the chip?
