This is a problem about the STM32H745XI-Disco control external AD5791 through SPI. When using Debug to detect the serial port output, the result is consistent with the desired result. However, when using a multimeter to measure the output of the AD5791, it is found that the output voltage is incorrect. I used the D13 pin as the SCLK of SPI2 to connect to the SCLK pin of the AD5791, the D11 as the MOSI to connect to the SDIN pin of the AD5791, and the D0 as the output port to connect and control the LDAC pin of the AD5791. When the STM32 sends a 24-bit signal to the AD5791, the current four bits are set to 0010 to write information to the control register or set to 1001 to read information from the DAC register. When the last three digits are 001, the output is -10V; When the last three digits are 010, 011, 110, 111, the output is 0; When the last three digits are 100 and 101, the output is 0.008V; When the last three digits are set to 000, the output is -6.98V. At

Hello STM community,I have a problem with my Nucleo-G431KB. I am trying to communicate to a sensor device over SPI. The problem I have is that when I use PA5 as SPI1_SCK, the logic high is only 1.4 V instead of the 3.3 V on other pins. When I configure PA5 as normal GPIO output I also get a 1.4 V output. When I use another pin as SPI1_SCK it works as expected. I have this problem when the Nucleo is connected to the sensor, but also when there is no load except for the oscilloscope.At first I thought that it might be a production error, but I have the problem on both of my boards.Is it normal that this pin has a lower voltage? If so, can I change it somehow?

Question about HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive timeout.Currently, a timeout occurs when calling HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive in our program. (We are the master)What are some of the factors that cause a timeout in HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive?

Hi STM Expert, We are currently working on STM32G491KCU6 MCU FDCAN side. Our requirement is to validate the activity on Tx and Rx pins. We started off the testing with the LoopBack mechanism but unfortunately we were not able to see any data received in the Rx buffer. We referred sample FDCAN programs for this and tested the same in STM IDE Debugger mode. We then moved to test the normal mode as well. For this we used a sample code and probed the Tx pin of FDCAN using an oscilloscope. During the transmission, no activity is seen on the oscilloscope. We confirmed the pins are not damaged by setting FDCAN_Tx and FDCAN_Rx pins to GPIO and toggled it.   Please let us know what we have missed and guide us.

I am working on a board containing two STM32F412, and I am having a hard time reaching the DFU bootloader:If I power off the board, pull the boot pin low, and then power on the board directly via USB, then cubeProgrammer is able to connect to the bootloader via DFU, completely as expectedHowever, if I let the board be powered in run-mode, pull the boot pin low, and then reset the MCU via the nRST pin, then the cubeProgrammer is not able to connect the bootloader via DFU At this point I am able to keep the boot pin grounded, power cycle the board (by disconnect/reconnecting the USB cable), and then cubeprogrammer is able to connect to the bootloader againThe schematic is illustrated below:SW3 is a latching switch to select which of the two MCUs are connected to the USB connectorUSB1.D- and USB1.D+ goes to PA11 and PA12, respectively on the first MCU, and USB2.D- and USB2.D+ and similar

I'm trying to use the 64pin STM32F722 part for the first time this time.I need EVM schematic and User's manual for reference circuit.But I can't find the document.Please tell me how I can get the documents.(I could find the reference schematic for the BGA part of 100 pins but I need one for 64 pins.)

Hello.I am using STM32C031.I have set up two projects to be one .bin file based on the attached document.This time I want to output a .bin file for the boot program (addresses: 0x08000000~0x08003FFF) and the application program (addresses: 0x08004000~0x0800FFFFF), but I cannot. As soon as the boot program is finished, the application program data is included without waiting for 0x08004000. (The boot program ends at 0x080027F0 and the application program starts at 0x080027F4).What settings should I add to make it write correctly?Best Regards,

Hello, It appears that it's the first time for me to deal with a uC (here ST32C011F6U6TR) which has a common input for VDD (general votlage power supply) and VDDA (analog voltage power supply). The project I am working on has a very sensitive analog parts and has its own analog power voltage (generated from VDD with filtering) and I can not take the risk to bring noise to it. So, I am wondering if there is application note (which I didn't find) explain how to design it ?If not, could you tell me what is the best way ?- bring the VDD to the VDD/VDDA input but the ADC Vref will be noisy- bring the VDDA to the VDD/VDDA input but it could bring noise to VDDA and then to all my analog parts- another way ? Thank you in advance, Best regards,

Is it possible to input 7S into a B-G431B-ESC1 EVM with a voltage specification that says up to 6S?If not, if I replace some parts with a high rated voltage as below, can I input 7S into EVM? 1. Power Section, TVS diode, SMM4F26A (D20) -> SMM4F33A 2. Power Section, Capacitor, 15uF 35V (C27 to C40) -> (I will keep this.) 3. Hi,i have a micros() function, that i adapted from arduino library. It worked flawlessly so far, but i have made a discovery, that micros() did not work properly at one time. micros() returned a time, that had 772us less, than it should have returned. Seems to be a very very rare case, but i want it to be perfect, and dont have any problems at all in the future. Hi,I configured the STM32U5G9VJT6Q but it looks like that, because I am using the SDMMC2 then the SWO pin is not available. Are there any practical workaround?One obvious one is to disable SDMMC while using SWO. Any other ones?Thank you 

Question about the SPI communication clockIs it possible to output the SPI clock all the time, not just when reading and writing data?

I am using a Nucleo-F401RE and wanted to look at the UART section. Ideally i wanted to see the pins go up and down to see what they are doing. I am using huart1 so the transmit is on PA9 and receive is on PA10. I've hooked up the logic analyzer to PA9 and PA10. To ground the logic analyser i am using pin number 7 on the CN6 connector. Below is what the logic analyzer is showing. It seems like it is very intermittent. When i am debugging it and get to the stage where it needs to send a signal out, nothing shows up. If i run it continuously i can see the pin fluctuate. What am i doing wrong?  

I got STM's libraries, grabbed the X-CUBE-DSPDEMO & AN4841 & AN4891 (section 3 on FFT demonstration) but haven't seen any documentation on the DSP library API. Have all the examples which are great, but still a good documentation for reference would be great.The AN4891 in section 3 mentions a demo project that runs on MDK-ARM, kind of an FFT performance demonstration. Is that source available somewhere on STM's website or github repo?Thanks   

Hi, I am using a STM32U5G9VJT6Q and need the Altium symbol. Because it is a relatively large IC I would rather copy-paste the names and pin numbers pairs to avoid any errors (not out of laziness), but: - if I copy and paste the pin names (or any other data) from the PDF datasheet, when I paste them they all paste as a the same character: a question mark inside a square box - I tried downloading it from the STM32 page but most of the time it does not generate the symbol (I tried multiple browsers and multiple computer but it just does not download them). When it finally downloaded, it actually generates a script and the script generates the wrong pinout. For example pins 6 and 12 (for the LQFP-100 with DSI) should beVDD11DSI but the generated symbol sets them as OSCI and VBAT... And the same for other pins... (As a side note... What is the point of having such symbol generating tool if it generates a completely wrong symbol.

When I'm trying to read Unique device ID register on Nucleo-H563ZI, either by using HAL_GetUIDw0() or by doing uint32_t uid1 = *((uint32_t*)0x08FFF800); hard fault occurs.  

I am using STM32H743VI LQFP 100 pin. There is no PC2 and no PC3 so I need to use PC2_C and PC3_C as SPI MISO and MOSI respectively. I heave read many forums on here claiming there was a bug in the silicon making PC3_C not suitable for SPI communication. I am wondering if this is still true or if I will be able to properly use PC2_C and PC3_C as SPI pins.To my understanding while reading the reference manual and data sheet there should not be a problem and the switches between pads is closed by default. This leads me to believe that I can use PCx_C as PCx SPI without any extra modification. Please let me know if this is true.   Thank you,Ethan Mankins

Hi,I am looking for a STM32 micro that can control this DSI display (datasheet attached).But the display has 4-lanes DSI interface and cannot seem to find any STM32 with 4-lanes DSI. The microcontroller selector tool only has "MIPI-DSI" option without lane specification and all the micros I looked at so far seem to have only 2-lanes.Are there any 4-lanes micros?If not, how can I control such display? Are there some bridges ICs (I could not find any)?Thank you :)

Our board has an STM32L031 as a SPI master with two AD5271 Digital Pots (R24 and R25) as SPI slaves.  After power-on both digital pots can be read (return default of 511).  The first digital pot accessed can be given a new value and that new value read back.  The other pot now reads all zeros.  A different value can be written to the first digital pot and read back (so the SPI bus didn't get 'stuck' after the write routine finished).  Once the second digital pot is given a new value, neither digital pot can be read back (returns all zeros).  It doesn't matter if R24 is accessed first or if R25 is accessed first; the first pot accessed

Hello,in the STM32F7 it is possible to enable instruction prefetch and in the same time disable ICache. Then I suppose that the prefetching does not put the prefetched instruction in cache. Is it correct?Thank you

Hi!I would like to know if there is a way to handle "automaticaly" a transmit then receive transfert using SPI and DMA ?I think using linked list should be possible, but i don't know how to configure that..  -Create a single linked list (only 1 GPDMA channel)-Configure a 1st node with request from SPI1_TX, the tx buffer and len and add it to the linked list-Configure a 2nd node with request from SPI1_RX, the rx buffer and len and add it to the linked list-Call HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMAdo you think it should works ? The goal is multiple.. only 1 GPDMA channel used, manage automatically Transmit then Receive for 1 transfert.. I have same needs for 2 QuadSPI drivers. thank for help.

How to perform SPI communication within a board (master and slave)We are trying to loop back SPI communication within the board, and perform transmission by the slave and reception by the master on one board.The master's SPI CLK is connected to the slave's CLK,but when the master is receiving, does the master not generate a CLK?(In other words, the slave never transmits.)Does the slave's CLK need a separate CLK input? Sorry for our poor English.
