STM32 MCUs Products

So I tried upgrading the firmware. I first downloaded the STM32CubeProgrammer, linux version, on the my computer. Then I got the device into DFU mode as per instructions and attempted to flash the new firmware using the STMCubeProgrammer software. Afterwards, it did not restart and no longer goes into DFU mode. It does not show in lsusb at all. It previously did as an STM device in DFU mode, but now its no show. The MCU is an STM32H743. I found an SWD port on the PCB and connected to it, again using the STM32CubeProgrammer software but with an STLinkV2. On selecting the STLink option and clicking connect, the program reads the MCU details, but fails to read any data or flash a binary file. When attempting to flash a new firmware I am getting 3 errors:   Error: Flash loader cannot be loaded   Warning: The core is locked up   Start operation achieved successfully  

Hello, ST experts STM32U595VJT6 is used on the design. The OTG part of MCU works well on USB device mode. And it functions as USB flash disk.  But when I check the logical level from OTG device status register(address offset is 0x808), there is something wrong. If the USB cable is plugged in, it is all right, DEVLNSTS[1:0] are all zero. But when the USB cable is move out, DEVLNSTS[1] is 0, DEVLNSTS[0] is 1. That means USB_D+ is 0, USB_D- is 1. But the real logical level of USB_D+ is 1(about 3.3V), USB_D- is 0.Am I missunderstand something? Best RegardsYang

Hello everyone,I'm using Board NUCLEO-U031R8 for testing now.I have an old FreeRTOS project designed for a power-saving application, and I am preparing to migrate it to a new IC STM32U031 series MCU.In the old project, setting configUSE_TICKLESS_IDLE to 1 allowed the system to enter low-power mode when tasks were idle, and the low-power support feature provided by the manufacturer.So I started with STM32CubeMX to create a simple project and install "X-CUBE-FREERTOS" middleware (CMSIS RTOS2), and set configUSE_TICKLESS_IDLE to 1. then using STM32CubeIDE to import the .ioc file, last adding a long-duration LED blink task to make sure the system would entry tickless idle mode.The LED operates as expected, but I noticed that the current consumption averages around 5mA, which suggests that low-power features might not be functioning as intended. Hello,We are developing an industrial application based on STM32H7 (STM32H723ZGTx) and we are using NXP "TJA1101B" for PHY.It is connected to STM32H7 using RMII interface. We took hardware reference from "TJA1100 Customer Evaluation Board" schematic. When we initialise PHY in STM32H7, it failed to initialise PHY (HAL_ETH_Init failed with HAL_ERROR). We are using STM32Cube version 1.9.1.  PC1 ETH_MDC PA7 ETH_CRS_DV PC4 ETH_RXD1 PC5 ETH_RXD0 PA1 ETH_REF_CLK PB11 ETH_TX_EN PB13 ETH_TXD1 PB12 ETH_TXD0 PA2 ETH_MDIO PA6 ETH_EN [Set O/P High]  Same Ethernet code is working in "NUCLEO-H723ZG" evaluation kit with LAN8747-A. Will you please guide us the debug the issue in hardware of firmware?  Thanks & RegardNeel 

Hi,I used a Nucleo-F303RE board as template for my own hardware. Timers and clockfrequency are running fine on the NUCLEO but they are slow by factor 9 on my own hardware. USARTs are running on the exspected baudrate. Factor 9 gives a hint to the PLL block in clock generation. I recently learned that PLL is running on VDDA. I blocked VDDA from VDD with a bead. Is it the PLL?Why does it not lock, where can I check?Poor VDD? Poor blocking VDDA from VDD? Poor XTAL? Something totally different.Why the correct baudrate? THX for hints.Cheers Detlef 

Actualy i test ST licensing in KEIL 6.  Error: *** Project 'xxx', Target 'xxx', Device 'STMicroelectronics::STM32G431CBTx' is not supported by Toolchain ! ***. this is result with target set to G431, but size of my code is only 15k, why cant use compiler 6 ?? 5.06 work.My next test is change target to G071 and try build same G4 code = compiled without issue, but i dont test it on MCU.(G4)How toggle between free andor 32k limited free dont exist ? But Compiller 5 support it. 

I'd like to be able to configure a channel for TIM2 (or any 32 bit timer) on an MCU. (STM32G474 in this example) to accumulate the total HIGH time over continuous wave forms. I know I can accomplish this using IC mode and do the math in an ISR by detecting each edge, but I was wondering if there was a way to do it completely in HW.For example I'd like to monitor the total open time in (µS) of a solenoid valve controlled by another device. So, I would like to set up TIM2 to run at 1MHz and then accumulate all the cycles that it's channel 1 is high. I know there are ways to kind of do this for a single waveform, but I'm looking to capture the accumulated high times over 1000's of wave forms. I would then like to be able to read & reset that timer's register every so many seconds.

I have the NUCLEO-G431RB, and I am trying to measure the MCU current consumption in different operation modes and frequencies. I have connected a multimeter at JP6 (IDD) to monitor the current. The problem is when I set the frequency (f HCLK) as stated in the datasheet the readings I got are very different from the one in the datasheet. You can see in Figure 1 an example of what I did in configuring the clock trying to get similar values as in the datasheet in Figure 2.Figure 1

Hello,I have a Asus Vivobook S15 with Windows 11. I want to connect stm32f407g-disc1 + in my laptop but my laptop does not recognize the device. It is not the problem of the cable nor the device because I used them in other laptops and they get recognized.  then it produces an error and does not recognize the device as part of "USB Devices". The system is updated. I tried to download a drive, a software to upgrade the device but it fails to install. I also turned off the firewall and security temporarily, but it did not work. What can I do in order to make my laptop recognize the device as usb-connected device?thank you in advance for the help.

We are using STM32G030's internal RTC with LSE. The bypass capacitors we have used as shown in the schematic is 22pf (assuming 1.5pf stray capacitance). The crystal we used has Load Capacitance is 12.5pf. This resulted in the RTC being slow, 1 min per day.We also tried with 17pf & 10pf the clock was still slow.When we remove the load capacitors the RTC becomes fast.So we used HAL_RTCEx_SetSmoothCalib function, which improved the results (2 seconds slow) when we tested at our lab. But when we send it to the field the RTC time again becomes slower by around 20sec per day.Anything else can we do to improve the results?

I want to use the second USB of my nucleo-h753zi board, in a program that checks and graphs the movements and clicks of the mouse that enters through the USB port, but I only see the stlink, there is the init = MX_USB_DEVICE_Init (void);  I used the power in "ext" and in "chgr" but without result.  What am I missing or what am I doing wrong? Currently I am Trying to make a custom board for a project now I have done all the decoupling things for the VDD pins however I have to give power supply to the VDDA pin and now I am having some trouble since I am not that expert in hardware. I need few suggestions as for ferrite bead how should I calculate the value needed for that particular board/mcu and I also learned from senior a RLC filter also can do the job perfectly now can someone please suggest me with the guidelines what resources could I follow to learn this things so that I can developed stm32 based board by my self specially this ADC power supply filtering part. Goodmornig,I'm designing a board with an stm32wb microcontroller and I would like to use a type c connector for power supply (some hundreds of mA maximum) @ 5V the board and possibly to transfer data with the microcontroller. No advance type-c features are required. Is there some reference design to do it without having to use addition controller for type c management?Thanks.

Hi,I am trying to set-up the ADC3 for STM32H7 but the HAL_ADC_Init() fails ? After debugging, I see that the function LL_ADC_IsInternalRegulatorEnabled() fails in HAL_ADC_Init(). I also see that DEEPPWD is 0 on reset but the datasheet say that it should be 1 on reset. Why is this so ? regards,Daan

I am working on the development of a Bootloader for one of our projects. We are encountering an issue with the file transfer process, and I am reaching out to seek your guidance. Our setup involves receiving a .bin firmware file from a server, which is stored in an EC200U module (responsible for the server connection). The file is then transferred in 5KB chunks from the EC200U to the buffer, and subsequently, attempt to transfer it in similar chunks to a designated slot address on an STM32F411 microcontroller. The problem arises during the final stage when try to copy the data from the EC200U to the STM32F411 slot address. When we copy the data in chunks the data is getting alter or corrupted. Also need guidance on rollback mechanism on how can we implement .would be grateful for any guidance or recommendations you could provide. I want to implement CAN Communication in Loopback mode in which I have added Can interrupt mode . In Tx interrupt it will sent data after every 1000 m/s and data increment . In Rx interrupt it will read the sent data. I compiled the code and it will show me the value in live registers.  But I am not able to see that in logic analyzer. Suggest me some ideas to help me out.

Hi, I am using STMH755ZI chip and i have a custom board created using this. I have code which receives a character through UART and jumps to DFU mode for flashing. I am not using ST LINK and in case of emergency, i kept BOOT0 pin open so that i can go to DFU mode in case UART is not working. My normal work flow is build code, get the ELF file,  Jump to DFU mode, use Cube Programmer for uploading the ELF file. It's been working fine for months now, and i never had any problem with it, till now. I uploaded a code as usual and i noticed that the board is not booting up. So i tried using BOOT0 pin for jumping to DFU mode for uploading a new code. But when i try to connect to the board using cube programmer it asks whether i should disable read protection or not. So i clicked OK. Then when i try to upload a code, or even erase the flash it gives me "Error: RDP level is set to 1, try using Read UnProtect (-rdu) command in order to remove the Read Out Protecti
