Hi all,I've a board with the STM32F103C8T6 MCU.My firmware has to handle a lot of IO, display and UART logic, nothing special but just a lot of logic.So the 64K b internal flash memory is almost full.I've a couple of question here:1) can i switch to the STM32F103CBT6 so that I'll have 128Kb of flash without issues?2) Is there any other candidate in a small package (like the LQFP-48) I can use? I have to use a small package cause I don't have that much space available on that board (find attached) Thanks!

I'm designing a custom PCB using the STM32F407G-DISC1 board as a reference, with the goal of meeting EMI/EMC standards. However, my design includes a VBAT connection from external battery that the reference board doesn't have. Can you advise on best practices for connecting the VBAT line to ensure proper operation and minimal noise? In the attached schematic, I've connected VBAT to the battery cell and ground. Could you please review if this setup is correct for powering the circuit through VBAT? Also, is there anything else I should consider for stability or noise reduction and minimize the EMI/EMC issue?

Let say there are two separate flash banks defined in the linker script, Bank 1 and Bank 2.The current application version executes in Bank 1, and in Bank 2 the previous version is stored.When the bootloader identifies a new version, for example on a SD-card, the previous version is erased and flashing is made into Bank 2. If all goes well (checksum etc) the bootloader then sets this version as the current version and makes a memory jump to start this version in Bank 2. However if things goes wrong, it jumps back to previous version in Bank 1.At pre-build time, the active flash bank needs to be set in the linker script and the VTOR pointer needs to be aligned with the memory address to this bank.Now, what is the best practice to keep track on which bank to use on pre-build time?

I'm working on various examples using rider7. However, sometimes I encounter unexplained errors. The issue is that the hex file doesn't change. It seems like there might be garbage values in the hex file, as nothing works. Even if I change the main.c file multiple times, it keeps generating the same hex file. What could be the problem?

Hi,I seem to behaving an issue getting my STM32F411  PLL to stabilize using the HSI. The code I am using shown below. Setting it to 100MHZ.  The code gets stuck in RCC_GetSYSCLKSource() != 0x08 ) continue; . It never returns 8.  I had originally got stuck at while( RCC_GetFlagStatus(RCC_FLAG_PLLRDY) == RESET ) continue;until added the flash wait state. Any ideas what I am doing wrong. I have run out of ideas at the moment. Any help much appreciated. I'm trying to configure the ADC to read to values at a specific time in my system that uses the STM32G474.I have two channels of peak current mode control using the HRTIMER. The outputs are reset from either a comparator event or max duty cycle compare value on each channel. For each channel, I want to sample a voltage at a fixed delay time after the output is reset.Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank you

I am currently working on a project using the STM32WB5MM module, and I am encountering an issue with the BLE stack initialization in my application.I have successfully installed the stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin wireless firmware using STM32CubeProgrammer, and I am attempting to initialize the BLE stack. However, the function APPE_SysUserEvtRx(void * pPayload), which handles system events from the M0+ core, is not being reached. This suggests that the expected event, such as VS_HCI_C2_Ready, is not being triggered, preventing the BLE stack from fully initializing.Here is a summary of the steps I have taken:I have flashed the stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin file for BLE functionality using STM32CubeProgrammer.The transport layer is initialized with appe_Tl_Init(), but the application does not proceed beyond this point

We are trying to develop a device that uses SPI communication (Receive Only Master).Are there any sample programs for SPI communication (Receive Only Master)?Which should be executed first: "Receive Only Master HAL_SPI_Receive" or "Transmit Only Slave"?I think it is "Receive Only Master HAL_SPI_Receive", is that correct?

I have some questions. I read that STOP mode has a "RAM retention", so when it wakes up it the whole data is still intact (not cleared).When the RAM retention is off then the data is gone when it goes to STOP mode. So when it Wakes up does it restart the whole program and starts from the beginning ? Initializes all GPIO, peripherals, basically starts the program from includes down to the main loop. Standby mode is similar to no Ram retention STOP mode as I interpreted it correctly. That is start the whole program again. I have a problem understanding what STOP and STANDBY modes do when STOP mode has no RAM retention on.And what each of these STOP modes does because I don't know which one is without RAM retention.     

Dear,Used MCU: STM32H7B0, 100 pins.In the datasheets we had found that TIM3 use the APB1 peripheral clock.In our case is this 120MHz. But when we use the function "HAL_RCC_GetPCLK1Freq()" we become 60MHz.This isn't correct. So what function should we use to obtain the correct input frequency so that we can calculate the correct prescaler (PSC) and counter period values?  

Dear,Using STM32H0B0, 100 pins version.we wish to sample 1 input with ADC2 at a fixed frequency. This must not deviate and for this we use timer 3 set to the desired sample rate.In the pictures we use 100Khz, but later to go to 1Msps.So the timer 3 is going to trigger the ADC2 to take a sample each time and the results are written to the memory via a circulating DMA. The size of the buffer is currently fixed at 4096 samples. Each time a cycle of 4096 samples is reached it is moved to external memory.The settings of timer 3 are correct and controlled by toggling a GPIO port with the interrupt callback.Now if we apply a sine signal of 5 Khz at a samplerate of 100Khz we would assume that every 20 samples a full sine has been run through.This is not the case in our case. It does this every 6 to 7 samples.So what could we have misconfigured?

Hello everyone.I am working on a project and I have two stm32 MCU connected over SPI interface. One acting as a master (STM32H743VIT6) and the second acting as a slave (STM32C011U6) in full duplex.When sending data between the two devices the received data are sometimes correct and sometimes wrong.The slave is using DMA in circular mode to receive the master data. Once received it sends back and array of 3 bytes [24, 15, 64];Sometimes the master reading is correct and sometimes it is wrong.  Here is a capture of the received data.If anyone has already face similar issue. Thanks . Hope to find some solutions.

I am Juan de Jesus, I am a graduate student in engineering. I just bought a NUCLEO STM32H755 board.I am writing a simple code to test this board, an algorithm that makes LED 1 blink.The program compiles very well, and after this, I have made the configuration in the debug for the M7 core only, but when I am programming the flash memory, the st-link works well, but the microcontroller does not respond, it remains as if it were not programmed.I have tried this algorithm with the board of one of my classmates and I have verified that my algorithm works correctly on his board.What should I do? Should I return the board to the store?Do you have any recomendation for me, please?Thank you

In the initialization process, where are only sent commands, everything works, but the function HAL_SD_SendSDStatus is returning SD_START_BIT_ERR. Informations about the circuit and firmware: -STM32CubeMX v4.5.0 and STM32F4 library v1.3.0 -Clock always 400kHz (to ensure that I will not have problems with the bus speed in the tests) -It uses the internal pull-up of the microcontroller -Several sd cards were tested, all of them >=4GB and >=class 4, with FAT32 After debugging, I found that the problem happens in the code snippet (below) of the file stm32f4xx_hal_sd.c within the HAL_SD_SendSDStatus function:     /* Configure the SD DPSM (Data Path State Machine) */     sdio_datainitstructure.

When using RTC, the GPIO pin state of PA4 may be corrupted. RM0454, section 23.3.3 says: "In addition, it is possible to output RTC_OUT2 on PA4 pin thanks to OUT2EN bit. Thisoutput is not available in VBAT mode. The different functions are mapped on RTC_OUT1 or on RTC_OUT2 depending on OSEL, COE and OUT2EN configuration, as show in tableTable91.For PA4, the GPIO should be configured as an alternate function." But, as my experience has shown, RTC_OUT2 gets to PA4 even when PA4 is in mode GPIO OUTPUT. In addition, the RTC_CR_OUT2EN and RTC_CR_COE bits do not affect the operation of PA4 in any way. (See Table 91.
