Hello everyone,I'm working on a project where I need to transmit audio data from two microphones (left and right channels) over UART from an STM32 microcontroller. The audio data is initially sampled at high resolution (32-bit), but I’m converting it to an 8-bit format to reduce the data size before transmission.The audiowave seems alright for quiet sounds, but when it comes to louder things the amplitude on the output seems to clip, or to cut when it reaches 127 and it continues on -128 my settings are:DFSDM: 76,8DIVIDER for the output clock: 32 so i get 2,4MHzFOSR: 25 so i get 98kHz on ea

Hi, I am using STM32H563 Nucleo board, and found the PLL1VCOSEL bit of RCC PLL clock source selection register.There are duplicates in the settings.Does anyone know why is the settings duplicates?I would like to know why and use case. 

We have designed a boards, main board has STM32H742VGT6 and it is connected to Microchip PHY IC  KSZ8091RNBCA in RMII  Mode, Onboard Clock 25Mhz for PHY) we have tried basic configuration such as enabled ETH, LWIP Stack.we are using STM32CubeIDE 1.13.1 (Windows).Please suggest hardware setting and PHY IC Register setting. 

  The attached code configures UART communication to wake up a microcontroller in sleep mode as soon as a frame is received. In sleep mode, the micro waits for data on the UART interface, and when a UART frame is detected, it automatically wakes up to process the received information. Each byte is then processed immediately, allowing for a quick response to incoming data.However, with my two STM32 Nucleo L031K6 development boards, I have noticed different results during the tests of sending and receiving frames via RealTerm. Hi All,I was looking for an EMI Filter for SD card interface in STM32H753VI design. I am going to use a 4 bit mode micro-SD card. I came across these two parts for which I am not sure whether they are compatible with SD memory card specifications version 4.1 that is supported by STM32H753VI.Need your help to confirm its compatibility for below parts: 1. EMIF06-MSD02N16 (mentioned as it can be used for SD card)2. EMIF06-MSD04F3 (in datasheet, it is mentioned as it will support SD 3.0. Hi, I'm using STM32L0 series MCU to configure the RTC to wake up after 24 hour during sleep/standby mode. Understand that we need to configure the Wake up clock to use 1Hz with 1 bit wake up counter added so that it can have the wake up time from 18h to ~36h.Anyone know what number of wake up counter I have to set in order to have 24 hours wake up time? The wake up counter is 16 bit with max value of 65535.if configure the Wake up clock to use 1Hz with 1 bit wake up counter added (RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_CK_SPRE_17BITS), we can set the wake up time range from < 1hour up to 36h  or from 18h up to 36h? 

About once over 10, the MCU seems to hang after NVIC_SystemReset() call. Notice that:The MCU restarts correctly after poweron reset,NRESET set to 0 then 1 does NOT restart the MCUWhen MCU is hung, the NRESET Level is correctly UP (thanks to internal pull-up)

Hi,I want to get the PVD on a STM32H743 running in order to write some data to the flash, which did not work for whatever reason. So, as a first step, I tried to implement an interrupt which just pulls a GPIO-pin high and check it with an oscilloscope. I configured "PVD Level 6" (2.85V) and "External Interrupt Mode with Rising Edge Trigger Detection" in CubeMX, and implemented HAL_PWR_PVDCallback() with a GPIO_Write. However, when I disconnect the power supply, the pin is not being pulled high. The duration in which the power drops from 2.85V to 1.6V is approx. 10ms, which I guess should be plenty of time to process the interrupt. I can fire the interrupt with a software trigger (SWIER1) on EXTI line 16 successfully, which tells me that the EXTI interrupt is working in principle. I also checked that PVDE in PWR_CR1 is enabled, as well as the PLS bits for the threshold. The following code was generated by CubeMX in stm32h7xx_hal_msp.c:void H

We are making a board using stm32f767nih6. There seems to be a problem with RTC and Vbat while testing the board.First, we are using LSE with a 32.768Khz external crystal oscillator. However, there is a symptom that it slows down by about 10 seconds during approximately 40 minutes.Second, we have set up Vbat to supply 3.3V using a coin battery. However, when the power is turned off and turned on after a certain period of time, the RTC restarts around the point where the power was turned off.For example, when the power is turned off at 10:00 and turned on at 10:30, the time displayed on the device is 10:00.

Hi,I'm working on an STM32L4R5ZIT6 mcu and I'm facing with the problem of switching the JTAG port to SWD without the use of a debugger (ST-Link or similar); reading the "Arm Debug Interface" document I found the way to make the switch and in fact, using a NUCLEO board (with an STM32F411RE) I realized a system to change the port using only the SWDIO and SWCK pins of L4. My goal is to use the SWO pin as a debug tx pin and to do this the first step is to switch the port from JTAG to SWD; now I'd like to know if it's possible to get this switching from inside L4 (and not using an external device) working on its ARM registers, because I'd like to realize this at the start-up of my code. Please could anyone has any idea to solve my problem?Regards

Hello everyone, I am trying to use the PSSI peripheral with DMA on my nucleo-H7S3L8, I am new to this GPDMA so at first i tried using the standard request mode and i got it working but it only receives once and stops do i need to manually enable it again? i also tried to put a counter in the HAL_PSSI_RxCpltCallback which did not increment at all. I also tried using the linked list mode and followed this tutorial:How to configure the linked list mode in STM32Cube... - STMicroelectronics Community but it does not work at all. any clue or advice please? thank you all. 

Hi everyone,we're using the STM34F407ZG microcontroller in our BMS board.We have some issue during contact 8kV ESD applied in some screws above the boards. The ESD are applyed on all the screws but the problematic one are just 3 screws, the closest screws to the board (MCU).The effects of the ESD discharge are two:during the battery standby mode, the ESD shut down the board. The MCU has a "keep supply" pin, a PP output that is used to maintain on the power of the board. If that pins goes low (or floating), the board power shut down. I think that a reset on MCU could leave floating that pin and shut down the board.during the discharge mode, the ESD freeze the board. The board is still powered and the main contactor is closed. To maintain the power on the board, the "keep supply" pin must be high; to maintain the contactor closed, the pin "contactor" must be high (it is a PP pin, with no SW pull-up/down

Hi, erasing a complete page (2KB) to just write a few bytes is a waste of erase/write cycle. Is there a way to write data in differents part of the page each time? when there is no more space then a page erase should be fired and start over. Is there some implementation of it?Thanks

Hi,I use STM32F103C8T6 a GPIO input pin to read a high or low signal from another GPIO output pin, and connect a 3Mohm resistor between two pins, and I notice touching GND with hand will influence the signal status, than I measure the resistance between GND and GPIO pin, it is around 10Mohm. I want to isolate the signal from GND interference, how should I do? I have to keep 3 Mohm resistor. will it be better if connect a capacitor between input pin and GND? or connect a large resistor in between?

We are having an issue of the MCU bricking when we change the n_SWAP_Bank bit of the User Option bytes. What could be the issue? The issue occurs when we are clearing this bit. Once we clear it the chip bricks. 

Hi,I am trying to configure an input capture on my STM32F051R8Tx. It works fine, I am supplying an external signal via a signal generator and my code measures exactly T=4ms pulses - which I expect. In my case, I am sampling with 24MHz, so the measured period is approx 96000. (96000/24000000 = 0.004 - nice!).But now I am trying to change the sampling frequency and it does not work, I keep reading 96000 as the period. I supose that problem is caused by wrong connection for supply.I use +3.3V from DC/DC connerter for suplly. When switching on a new, unprogrammed STM32L431, PA6 turns hard to output high.This is SPI1 MOSI.AN2606 should say this out aloud.I know the 'G0 have this too, and AN2606 says this for them, although quite quietly and confusingly in a footnote.There really ought to be a clean trail of documenting such thing - which may be fatal to new hardware and/or production tester - from RM through AN2606.JW
