In the QSPI chapter of G4series reference manual, we can confirm the support of external QSPI flash chip in mmap mode: "memory-mapped mode: the external flash memory is mapped to the device address space and is seen by the system as if it was an internal memory."I need more RAM instead of code space, therefore my external space is PSRAM instead of FLASH.Now I get the indirect mode R/W and mmap mode read all working.My problem is that my mmao mode write operation always set the PSRAM data to zero, given non-zero value is written in my code.My question is whether G474 QSPI controller support mmap write operation at all. My fundamental confused concept is that the QSPI controller has no idea what type of external PSRAM I am using. Therefore it's my responsibility to tell the CCR, or the QSPI controller what instruction byte content my PSRAM chip expects for Rd and Wr. I am testing the functions of STM32U575 and found the following issue.I simply wrote this in main(): while(1){ for(i=0;i<160;i++); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_11); } where i is defined as uint32_t.HCLK is set to 160MHz by using PLLCLK with source=16MHz HSE, M=1, N=10, and R=1. Therefore the Cortex System timer is also 160MHz.But I found the PC11 pin toggles at a cycle of about 17.2us with ICACHE on and about 45us with ICACHE off, instead of about 1us expected. DCACHE is always on.I tried changing the Cortex System timer frequency but found it has completely no effect on the toggling frequency.I have also enabled TIM2 and generated a PWM which performs correctly, showing that HSE is working correctly.Why did this issue occur and how to solve it?Thanks in advance.

Hello All, I am progressing toward my goal. I am bit banging a GPIO port every 2 uS based on a Byte buffer. I can not use SPI because I need to send a predefine number of bit that is not 8 aligned. So I use a timer and every UIF event I reset the GPIO and every CC2F I set or not based on the bit.Everything is almost working well except that using a logic analyser I have time to time delay in the bit banging. I think it is due to other interrupts, I have already disabled the DMA and the SDIO but still I have delay. I am using VSCode on Mac with CubeMX, how could I know which interrupt is causing delay  Except disabling one by one, I do not see how to do it Thanks Vincent  

I am currently trying to write to an external Flash via QSPI (SST26VF064B). So far I have been able to successfully configure the chip as required and I have also been able to read some configuration registers in the flash so I know I can communicate the chip. However, when I try to write or read the memory, my code gets stuck in the function XSPI_WaitFlagStateUntilTimeout and the transfer error flag in the XSPI_SR is set. The reference manual says this flag is set if an invalid address is accessed in indirect mode but I am writing to the address 0x010000 which is a valid address. How can I fix this issue?Here is a screenshot of my read function

My configuration is that I use TIM2 CH1 to capture the time between COMP4 edges. This works ok. Now I would like to use TIM3 to generate some ISRs on several channels, I would like to let TIM3 to reset based on TIM2 capture ch1. I set TIM2 TRGO to "update event, TIM3 is in slave mode, using ITR1.Now the problem is that it seems to work, but TIM3 only gets reset when it's own period has elapsed? I would like to have TIM3 responding immediately on TIM2 capture event. What can be the issue here?

I am trying to convert microphone PDM signal into PCM signal and i used external PDM2PCM library files (which is used for STM32L4 cortex-M4) for that, i am able to bulid it for STM32H5 controller. I'm working with an STM32F4 microcontroller, a ChipWhisperer, and the SimpleSerial library, trying to track the execution of instructions. During this process, I noticed that the number of CPU cycles I measured doesn't match what I expected based on the ARM Cortex-M4 instruction timings. Specifically, I used a base code, added instructions incrementally, and measured the number of cycles each time. Here are my results: Instruction | Cycles ldrh r3, [r1] | 110 sub r2, #85 | 113 mul r6, r7 | 115 and r1, r9 | 117 strh r5, [r2] | 119 These cycle counts are for all the instructions combined. It seems that the sub instruction takes two cycles because it's pipelined with other instructions. What confuses me is the and instruction. My measurements show that the and instruction takes two cycles, but the ARM Cortex-M4 manual states that it should only take one cycle. Am I missing something? Or is there something in the STM3

Hello community!I'm working with the independent watchdog with a STM32L452 MCU in the Nucleo-L452RE board and I'm facing a problem trying to set low values in the reload register. When I try to set the reload register to values lower than 5 cycles (IWDG->RLR < 4), no matter the value of the prescaler register, the watchdog resets the system.The clock used in the system is the HSI and it is configured to be the source of the sysclk.My suspicion is, that as it is said for the status register for the VDD voltage domain, some LSI/Prescaler cycles are needed to take into account the refresh. But in the datasheet (DS11912 Rev 7, page 180) is specified that the minimum reload value is for RL = 0x000 and nothing is said in the device errata sheet (ES0388 Rev 8) as a limitation of the peripheral.Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Hi As i am using one of TIM8 input for external BKIN pin, to detect fault for PWM shutdwon.But How to prevent this on multiple fault events.Like any cycle by cycle protection is there.

Hello, my problem is as follows:I am working with an STM32G484QET6 uC. I have configured two timers with two output channels as Output Compare Toggle Mode. So that I get two independent quadrature signals.I now want to synchronise these two quadrature signals. Hello,I recently created a custom board using the STM32F746. I'm encountering an issue with the QSPI interface. The problem arose when I replaced the external flash from the MT25QL128ABA model to the IS25LP128F model. I have checked the data sheet and adjusted the QSPI parameters accordingly, but I'm still facing the issue as shown in the attached image. I would appreciate your help with this.(I haven't changed the code; I only adjusted the QSPI parameters in the .ioc file after generating the code from TouchGFX Designer.)

Hi,I would like to change at runtime some user-defined variables stored in Flash (so they remain on the system after power off). I have defined them as const and some are just 16 bits vars and others are more complex large structures. What is the best way to do that? I came across the Flash Sector erase function but don't want to risk using a whole block erase (i.e. reading block, changing specific byte, word or struct then write back the entire sector with new values). Are there other options? Also which include files do I need? Hello, I have a signal that is coming to a GPIO and the period of the signal might slightly change and I need to realign a timer each time the GPIO is on rising edge.I try to use the TIMER1 with Slave mode reset and use ETR1 as trigger source. but it is not really working the way I want I tried as well to catch the UIF interrupt and TIM1->CNT=0 but it is creating lagging.How to do "Reset" the timer each time I receive a GPIO pulse ? thanksVincent 

I have a custom board that I am getting ready to program that is using the STM32U575. I am a little confused about the clock configuration. My board has an external 32768 crystal. I am not sure I have the MX program clock configuration correct. I want the internal clocks running at full 160mhz speed with the internal clocks calibrated by the external 32768. Below is a screen shot from the MX clock configuration. I think I might not have the settings correct. Could you please check the configuration to see if I am configuring the clocks correctly.A second minor question that I am confuzzled about. I noticed the code generated by MX program initializes SysTick. Is that the same as the SysClk?

Hello. I have a question while looking at the datasheet.In the ai17535b, ai14125d image, 1uF and 10nF capacitors are indicated between VDDA and VDDS,but other datasheets (ex: MSv34738V1, MSv39402V2) indicate the capacitor capacitance as 1uF and 100nF.Is there a separate reason? Thank you.
