Hello EveryoneI am struggling to get STM32G474 FDCAN working, especially error handling. Normal transmission works fine. I use TXQueue (not TXFifo) mode. I can write messages to each of the 3 message buffers. Messages are sent, I get a Transmit Occured Interrupt, I know that the message is successfully sent. All fine. If I disconnect the bus (no peer) messages are not acknowledged by another CAN node, the message is NOT sent properly (all fine). I am working in "auto Retransmission = disable) (DAR) mode. When I put a message into a tx buffer, the message is sent with an error and disappears from that txbufferThere are two registers:FDCAN_TXBRP (transmit buffer request pending) FXCAN_TXBCF (cancellation finished)I can see FDCAN_TXBRP [TRP] is cleared (because the message no longer pending, because it was faulty, and no retry -> done sending, but faulty, transmit request is cleared) I ca

Hi,I am using STM32G491RE for my product. I want to implement watchdog timer functionality. In the data sheet we have IWDT and WWDT. Which one is best for real time products and I am using HSE for clock. I am planning to use watch dog timer reset time in seconds.For IWDT in the document mentioned programmable timeout range is 125usec to 32.8 sec.For WWDT how can I calculate the maximum timeout range?? My APB1 clock is 96MHz.For OTA update, Does watchdog timer effect the functionality??Disabling the watchdog timer in bootloader code is enough for the watchdog timer not interfacing with the update process??Can anyone suggest.Thanks

Redesign a board with smaller MCU (same family).Want to reuse existing code. Is there a way to update reselect the MCU, update the pinout in iMax, then update the code in the same project? Do not want to start another project for the new MCU.

Hi, I am having issues using the STM32L431RBI6 to read a rotary encoder.The encoder has a 0-5V output on its 2 channels, and is working with my other STM32 setup (on a STM32L451CCU6).On the STM32L431RBI6, I am using TIM2 configured in Encoder mode, with TIM2_CH1 & TIM2_CH2 mapped respectively on PA15 and PB3 (5V tolerant). The associated code was generated using STM32CubeMX included in STM32CubeIDE 1.14.1. When running the code, the TIM2->CNT value does not get updated when I manually move the motor. After tracing the signals on a logic analyser, I noticed that the signal on PB3 was working fine (oscillating between 0 and 5V as expected). However, on PA15, the signal has the correct shape but is only oscillating between 0 and 0.8V. On the board I am using, there are no intermediate components between the encoder output and each STM32 pin (only the PCB track). Both tracks are routed close to each other.

I'm writing software on dual core CPU, On M4 core, I need to know is it support bit banding? I searched all documents from ST, but I didn't find clear answer, I found on M4 CPU, like STM32F series bit banding has supported, and on M7 single core CPU like STM32H743 doesn't support, but on dual core CPU, like STM32H745 is it support?

Hi everyone, I'm developing a bootloader that works like this. I was inspired by the example: https://github.com/pramodk51/bootloader_for_stm32f4.  I developed this initially on Nucleo F439ZI for the test phase and I managed to implement it with the addition of DFU functionality. Hi all,I reach out to you all to give some pointers or advice for me where to look into to solve this mystery.I set up my Nuc-STM32F439ZI eval board i2s peripheral to play my audio sine wav file.I used Audacity to generate 13KHz sine wave audio file with 48KHz sampling, 16-bit PCM wav file, then using Wav2Code to generate the array binary.For STM32, I set I2S with 48KHz Sampling rate, Half-Duplex Master, Mode Master Transmit, I2S Philips, 16 bits data on 16 bits frame, DMA half word, Circular mode.I2S generated correct signal, bit clock, frame rate, data valid but when I feed this sine wave to an amplifier and monitor the output of the amplifier on the scope, I saw my sine wave double in frequency which is 22KHz to 26KHz.I then tried different way to create the sine wave with the look up table from the sine wave math function with the frequency of 1KHz, and the result is the same at the amplifier output, I got 2KHz sine wave.Does anyo

I am reaching out to request your assistance with an issue we are encountering on the STM32H750VB microcontroller related to USB data transmission. The problem arises when operating at high data rates, specifically with external USB synchronization and high BPM settings (e.g., 999 BPM) with a 1/32T scale. In this scenario, the USB device stops sending data altogether, with no messages being transmitted.Upon debugging, we found that the condition if ((epint & USB_OTG_DIEPINT_TXFE) == USB_OTG_DIEPINT_TXFE) in the USB interrupt handling code is not being satisfied after the USB stops transmitting. Hello,I am using ADC1 channel 1, 3 and 5. All these three inputs are connected to different sensors and I want to create a driver to read those sensors. The problem is that I don't want to read all input channels at once, I want to be able to select which channel value to get. Also I want to use DMA and conversion complete interrupt. Is this possible?  Which mode should I use to be able to tell ADC1 which channel value to convert? I am using HAL library. Right now I enabled scan mode, so after running HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() I get all sensors data. 

I have been working on interfacing a Realtek switch and the Realtek configuration was done by i2c bit banging. I am currently trying to change to HAL I2C and am in need of performing a read operation as shown.Here the read operation is performed such that the read address write is done as the part of read operation. In STM32H5 Hal I2C driver, I tried making modifications to mimic this sequence, but in all the cases, the address write is only done as part of a write operation only. Is there any way to modify the driver such that the exact same signal generation sequence occurs.

I have 6 channels on ADC1 and 2 channels on ADC2. I need the first two channels of ADC1 to be sampled simultaneously with the two channels of ADC2. The sampling needs to be triggered by a timer and occur twice each time the timer triggers. Here’s what I did: I set the ADC mode to dual regular simultaneous + alternate trigger mode and enabled DMA access mode. I enabled continuous DMA requests and set the DMA to normal mode (not circular), so the buffer is filled only once each time the timer triggers. I also set the buffer size to 16, so the ADC channels are sampled twice and then stop once the buffer is filled. After that, the system waits for the next timer trigger. Am I missing something?
