hi, i m working on SDRAM for H750 Disco board, saw the schematic diagram(enclosed) shows pin PH5 - SDNWE, PH6 - SDNE1, PH7 - SDCKE1. But STM32CubeIDE has the wrong connection PC0, PC2 and PC3 as shown enclosed.I managed to change the pin of SDNWE to PH5, but PH6 and PH7 were not an alternative pin to SDNE1 and SDCKE1. i  tried to use GPIO Pin instead for PH6 & 7 but my code couldn't worked. (the same code worked on STM32F750 Disco board)  Could anyone advise what to do  

Hello. I am trying to setup UART on my STM32 using the HAL library and without using the .ioc file for auto-configuration. I first had a test project using the .ioc file to help me setup UART and was able to transmit data. However, when I do it myself and use a logic analyzer to observe TX and RX, I see that no data is being sent. Below is the code for my STM32L476RG. What am I missing? Hello Everyone  I want connect stm32F LCd controller to TFT lcd but 16 bit  because I have lack of pins . how should I connect the RGB pins of STM32 to RGB pins of the LCD ?  In case I use the LTDC contrller in 16bits , Can I use the unused pins  RGB of the controller  for other  fucntions ?    Thank you in advanced 

I am using STM32G031J6M6 and using NRST pin as GPIO.I have been unable to connect to STM32CubeIDE, CubeProgrammer and ST-Link Utility since then, probably because I executed __WFI() in the program.CubeProgrammer error codeSTM32 target not found! If your product has debug authentication built in, please use debug authentication to run detection.”I did a lot of research and could not connect to either Software/HardwareReset.Please share your wisdom on how to connect and debug.

Forgive this short , pedestrian inquiry. I am using the STM32U083C-DK and the ST Micro provided BSP code and examples to write to the LCD display that is meant to be used with the DK.  All works well, except the case of string buffer I give to the LCD display is not faithfully reflected  on the display.  For example if the string buffer is defined as: uint8_t* LCD_String[] = "Please Work";  , the LCD shows in slow mode PLEASE WORK (all caps) not case sensitive as I was expecting.  Also it sometimes (seemingly randomly) display lower case letters.  I am using the ST Micro provided API BSP_LCD_GLASS_ScrollSentence API to display my text.I'd be happy to provide more details but wanted to keep this post short.  I'd be MOST interested if someone could tell me if they are seeing the same thing.   If they are not seeing the same thi

I conducted an experiment with the following settings and results: LTDC - 0x20020000 (Internal RAM), Display - 0x20020000 (SDRAM): Display output is visible. LTDC - 0xC0000000 (SDRAM), Display - 0xC0000000 (SDRAM): No display output. LTDC - 0xC0000000 (SDRAM), Display - 0x20020000 (Internal RAM): Display output is visible. LTDC - 0x20020000 (Internal RAM), Display - 0xC0000000 (SDRAM): Display is corrupted. The results are puzzling because when the Display Start Address is set to SDRAM, the display output is not functioning correctly. I suspect there might be an issue with the SDRAM, but I’m confused by the fact that when LTDC is set to 0xC0000000 (SDRAM) and Display is set to 0x20020000 (Internal RAM), the display works without issues.   Additionally, after debugging and inspecting the memory, I can see the values written to the internal RAM,

Hello,  I was testing f103 in a standby mode and wiring a nRESET line was enough to connect to the chip with a Segger debug probe in a connect under reset mode.  But apparently L0 chips also require pulling BOOT0 pin high.  I am guessing that is because Flash is turned off?  But I can connect to f103 in standby mode with BOOT0 low just fine.  Does it mean I somehow didn't switch it to the full power down mode or standby on f103 doesn't turn FLASH off?   

I have been simulating errors on the bus by removing the other node (a motor controller). As expected I see a number of failed transmissions. I can see that the FDCAN peripheral signals an Active Error on the bus (presumably as a result of not getting an ACK). I use the IR.PEA flag to get an interrupt. I can see that the ECR register is incrementing on each error as expected. After 16 failures it reaches 0x00100080: ECR.CEL is 16 and ECR.TEC is 128. So far so good. My understanding is that the peripheral now enters the Passive Error state. I get an interrupt for this using the IR.EP flag. The issue is that the device actually appears to behave as if it is in the Bus Off state. I can can send one message after the IR.EP interrupt. I get another IR.PEA interrupt and schedule the next message. But I get no more interrupts. I never see the IR.BO flag set. ECR remains at 0x00100080. Are there some other flags I should

Yet, when I try to perform a 2 byte SPI read, it's garbage. Hi everyone,I started a project a few weeks ago, which for reasons of urgency I had to use a black pill board as an initial prototype, using STM32F401CCU6 (of uncertain origin). The project continued to develop almost completely until we assembled the official board with all the circuits and peripherals.When we programmed the firmware on the new board, after some time debugging and evaluating the operation, we noticed that without the backup battery the system took about five seconds longer than the old one to show the first image on the screen. The restart process here is turn the power supply off, wait some seconds (30s to 60s) and turn it on again (repeated many times with and without the battery).The RTC is working perfectly with the battery, it keeps the date and time as expected and loose them when the battery is removed.We reviewed all the hardware (connections, cabling, pinout, etc.) and found no difference between the new board and the initial pro

I'm using the STM32G431CBU3 in a project that shares the same ground for digital and analog supplies, but the UFQFPN-48 package doesn't have a VSSA pin like the others. What should I do in this situation? Should I consider VREF as my VSSA? 

Posted on October 19, 2013 at 05:31I'm new to the ST product line.  While reading the datasheet for the STM32F051 I came across the following in section 3.5.1 ''Power supply schemes'':The VDDA voltage must always be greater or equal to the VDD voltage level and must be provided first.    I haven't been able to determine what ''first'' means.  If VDD and VDDA are connected to the same 3.3V supply, so they both power up and down at the same time, is that good enough?  Do I need to do something to somehow enforce a VDDA-first sequence?  If that's the case, where is the necessary timing defined? In section 6.3.2 ''Operating conditions at power-up/power-down'', Table 21 shows minimum VDD and VDDA fall times of 20 us/V.  Again, is this something I need to enforce?  Under normal circumstances the capacitors on the power rails

Hi, have any of you communicated with a display based on the ST7735S controller? Based on this library: https://github.com/afiskon/stm32-st7735  I converted it from SPI communication to 8080 parallel control, but display does not work properly, while filling the screen with color works, writing text,  drawing pixels or squares does not, everything is visible in the video in attachment.Below link to my project:https://github.com/apaczenko1993/KTLCD9 Thanks for help.  

Hi,where do you set programmatically (perhaps through a preprocessor directive) the option to lock the micro to prevent read/download of the flashed code but while obviously still allow for firmware updates?Also I could not seem to find any such option in CubeIDE. Is it available there or do I need to use the CubeProgrammer?Thank you

I am currently trying to program this external memory using the external loader sub-project created when a project is created for the ST32H7R7. I have been able to successfully write the drivers for the external flash and I have also been able to port the driver to the external loader subproject. I debugged the external loader subproject to ensure that the driver is working perfectly. However, when I try to load the application project, I end up with the error seen below. what is this error and how do I fix it?

I generated code using CubeMX that should permit me to transmit over SPI1 using DMA for RX and TX, as well as CPOL = 1 and CPHA = 1. I very slightly modified the auto generated CubeMX code but see nothing in the SPI CR1 or CR2 registers, nor the DMA2 registers, that would indicate I have made a configuration mistake when modifying the code slightly. I'm using STM32H757I-EVAL and trying to implement SDMMC.However,  I get some errors in these parts of code.At first, the error happened SDMMC_cmdAppCommnad.But now I can see the error SDMMC_CmdGoIdleStateI did change frequnecy of sdmmc, enable hardware control, enable USE_SD_TRANSCEIVER. I am completely baffled by an issue I’m having with the STM32H7 using the SDMMC and a micro SD card. I have the F7 working and two H7 platforms that both have the same data timeout problem.The STM32F767ZI Nucleo board working OK with the SDMMC and a micro SD card connected to the Nucleo with a breakout board connected to the IO pins. I have run it successfully in the D0 pin and the D0-D3 pin configurations. I used the STM32F767ZI-Nucleo Project and the FatFs example that ST provides as part of the STM32CubeF7-master.I am using STM32H743ZI Nucleo board with the firmware from the STM32CubeH7-master, for the NUCLEO-H743ZI. Since I am not using the Adafruit adapter for the SD card, I used the stm32h743i_eval_sd.c from the STM32H743I-EVAL project and set _USE_IOCTL to 0 since I am not using the SD Card IO level shifters. I changed the card detect to properly detect my card. Hi, I would like to test out the UART bootloader functionality for the demo board STM32F469I-DISCO. I am using reference documents AN2606 and Demo board schematic. I am assuming  I need to follow below steps to achieve this.Please let me know if I am missing any. Step1: Load a regular software (some LED Blink) , then have the software to set the bit BFB2 when the user ready for bootload. Step2: try to achieve pattern3 first line item of Table2 from the App note AN2606 .     a) Remove SB15 on the demo board, Stuff R150 with 1K to achive High condition of Boot0.     b) Set PB2 (Boot1) to high by adding pullup resistor Step3: use STM32 Cube programmer to load ne bin file over the Virtual COM Port U3 (STLINK_V2) . It uses PB10 and PB11 (  MICRO UART3 connections PB10 TX,PB11 RX).
