Hi everyone. I am driving a Neopixel LED with a PWM signal in DMA mode using a timer. Even though all variables are the same, my code works with timer 3, but the same code doesn't work with timer 2 with the same timer configuration. Why could this be? I checked for a 16-32 bit difference, but they say it's not related to that. I have an STM32G431 Nucleo board. I tried all pin configurations for timer 2 channel 1, but it didn't work. İf it's normally and ı cant use this for neopixel, I will change timer but I use other timers for different jobs with  different frequences. But ı dont thinks so.

Hy,I have tried to resample a 16bit/8kHz audio signal to 16kHz and 48kHz.Conversion works, but the audio is noisy. HelloMy current requirement is to generate an FSK waveform with two frequencies around 3-5 MHz, a rate of about 700K, and output a square wave using PWM. The method involves switching frequencies by updating ARR and CCR using two timers—one for PWM output and the other for frequency switching (updating ARR and CCR). The main issue is updating ARR and CCR simultaneously since these addresses are not contiguous, and various methods tried have failed. Hi everyone.I tried adding USB_OTG_FS/Virtual Port Comm to STM32F407VET6 as a device only, but the problem is that when I try to connect the STM32 USB to my PC/laptop, it says “USB not recognized” on my PC/laptop, and I think it might be a problem with the cable, but after I replaced the cable 5 times and tried connecting it to my laptop, the problem remained the same.Where does this problem originate—in the code or the hardware itself?I used two boards, and both experienced the same problem. 

Hello, everyone.So, I want to assign a serial number/device number to all my devices, and each device has a different serial number/device number. My question is, how can I change the serial number/device number with the same firmware without having to change the string in the source code as the serial number/device number and rebuild it?Is that possible to do in STM32?Thank you:).

Hey all,I have been debugging a nasty issue that I have been having over the last couple of days. I am using the STM32n657I0 MCU. The issue that I observed were random crashes in my code. Luckily the problem was well reproducible. What I observed was that sometimes the ITCM memory was suddenly not accessible anymore, or some data had changed. To make certain that my code was not modifying the ITCM contents I configured the MPU to disallow write operations to the ITCM memory. Also I am not yet using DMA or anything like that, which could write to the ITCM. After the bug triggers, I cannot read the ITCM memory anymore with the debugger or the processor, all other memories are still working and actually execute, which prints a nice crash log to serial. When you encounter failing memory or other strange issues you would think maybe the core is unstable. The recording works — I can clearly hear my voice — but there’s a constant background white noise in the recording. I’m trying to figure out what’s causing it and how to reduce or eliminate it.I’m using STM32CubeMX + HAL, with a standard SAI + PDM2PCM configuration. Hello All,I'm trying to keep my MSC + CDC USBX connection alive on my STM32U575.  When I connect the device via USB cable, Windows Explorer opens and displays the files on the W25Q NOR Flash.  I can select a file and open it from the flash.  I can also open Tera Term and connect to the device.  I created a ThreadX task to write out text over CDC every 5 seconds.  After a random amount of time, Tera Term stops writing out the text and lock up and even though the device is displayed in Windows Explorer, if I try to open a file, it fails, with a timeout error.I've explored the U5 samples, but I can't find any differences between the MSC or CDC projects and my project.  None of the samples, that I've found, are doing anything in the callbacks or change methods that would indicate the handling of some kind of "timeout" issue from the USB host.Any guidance to why the device just stops communicating with the windows machine would be g

Hey all,I would like to confirm some current consumption figures present within the STM32N6570 datasheet.I am particularly curious about the current consumption numbers in the various sleep modes.Table 31 (Current consumption in Run mode) suggests IDD is ~0.3mA in typical conditions. This seems extremely low for normal operation. Also, when referring to Table 33 (Current consumption (core) in Run mode), it is entirely possible to have an IDDCORE of 100mA, which is 300x that of IDD. How can this be so high?Thanks everyone!Edit: I noticed several other interesting measurements but I was looking at datasheet Rev 2 instead of Rev 6 (most recent), which resolved several questions. Hi, I'm trying to get a PWM output that changes duty cycle on each period with DMA in circular mode. I have seen other similar posts (ultimately I'd like to control a WS28 LED with 800kHz), but they are for other MCUs and everything is different in the details. I'm planning to connect 40 LED with a current of 20mA (total 800mA) to 40-gpio pins of STM32G4 device. The pins will be configured as Open-drain so the 20mA LED current of each pin will flow through an external resistor and the internal low-side NMOS transistor of the IC.In this case I believe there will be no restriction about the STM32G4 power dissipation and current capabilities. Hi all,I a developing a custom product were the partition is like Bootloader  + APP1 + Partition 2 , were I Integrated the DFU library into bootloader and which is successfully enumerated in PC without any errors. My goal is do the flashing .bin file into app1 partition using this  USB DFU. But I couldn't even connect the the device. Hello all, I disabled the M4 core based on the tutorial by ST Employee mEALLEm, I pressed Apply, saw the option byte successfully programmed notification, but I have been waiting for MCU disconnect notification for 20 minutes now. The LD4 keeps blinking greed and red. Is there something I am missing because it should not be this long ? Thank you

For community awareness:Unless otherwise stated, STM32 GPIOs do not have partial-power-down / Ioff / back-drive protection.Example: If VDD=0V (or VDD unpowered) and a GPIO is driven with 3.3V, then excessive current may flow into the GPIO.This includes TT and FT GPIOs.The behavior of a back-powered GPIO is nondeterministic.Some back-powered GPIOs behave High-Z. Some draw excessive current. Some pull down after ~100ms (GPIO becomes an output). The behavior varies with temperature. The behavior varies chip-to-chip even with same part marking / date code. Measuring different TT and FT GPIOs on a standalone IC with multimeter in diode mode has inconsistent results: sometimes measuring OL, 0.8V, or 1.5V and the measurement changes either due to measuring other pins or due to temperature.ST GPIO documentation may cause confusion regarding FT GPIO back-drive behavior. We are currently working on a project using the STM32H750IBT6 microcontroller interfaced with a single-bank Quad SPI NOR Flash (MT25QL512ABB) on our custom board. The QSPI interface is operational.However, we are facing an issue with the external loader. i use stm32h750 as a decoder to translate use audio data into i2s 16bits 48khz data.however, when i use usb_otg_fs, everything works properly,but when i use the same configration and only switch to usb_otg_hs,some problem has occured. i use usb3300-ezk as the external PHY, which can communicate with my windows11 laptop through a type-ccable.the computer can detect stm32 audio class and bus hound shows the det description progress run correctly and then system send set interface 0, when i try to display music, it sends set interface 1 for several times but meet xact error.i noticed that something may related to the main clock and usb clock, but i cant find the right settings.

Hello,maybe this is bit off-topic, but does anybody know if it is possible to suspend an ERASE operation and write to another (previously erased) sector?I want to save a page in flash in case of a power outage and want to interrupt a probably ongoing ERASE.If so, is this possible in internal flash or only in external flash?In our design there are 2 QUAD SPI NOR flash connected to the dual QSPI- and one QUAD SPI NOR to a SPI interface of the STM32H75x. It would be surely possible to write to an idle flash while the other is busy erasing a sector. But it would be nice if write-while-erase-suspended would work on a single flash.The documentation of flash is confusing e.g. in the MICRON flash, which is soldered on the STM32H753_EVAL board, it seems there is difference in sector erase and erase command:

Hello, According to the STM32L496 reference manual, the DAC should be disabled before entering STOP2 mode, which implies that it doesn’t operate in STOP2.However, in STM32CubeMX there is a configuration option for DAC output — external pin, on-chip peripheral, or both.Earlier, when I selected external pin, the DAC output was not working in STOP2 mode (as expected). I’m aware of the Wake-Up Timers, but I’ve been specifically asked to use alarms. This will be integrated into a FreeRTOS system, but for now I’m trying to get it working in a plain project. Hello,I'm trying to figure out the max. reliable clock frequency for NOR flash connected via SPI or QSPI interface.I've read here or here  that there are custom board and evaluation board designs which are reading data at single transfer rate up to 120MHz.I wonder how this is possible regarding the timing parameters in the data sheet.For example, the MICRON MT25QL flash, which is equipped on some ST evaluation boards e.g. STM32H750_DK and STM32H753_EVAL, puts data at falling clock to IO after 5-6ns as shown here (tCLQV).
