STM32 MCUs Products

I have a variety behavior that didn't occur on the last version of my board. I'm trying to figure out if the board has an intrinsic electrical fault, or if incompatible programming is making the pins fight with themselves to generate what I'm seeing.  The board gets up and goes and I can read registers, so I'm hoping there are diagnostic steps I can take to figure out how to correct what I'm seeing below 1. When I program the board with ST-Link, VREFBUF HIZ=1, which is incorrect and makes VREF+ pin not work.  I’ve been pushing ahead by setting HIZ=0 via ST-Link after programming to get the right behavior.  I didn't have to do this on previous boards...so I'm wondering if I introduced an electrical failure that makes the pin go Hi-Z in a fault mode or some such...? 2. I’m using CubeIDE and I need to load a single memory location of the FMAC input buffer via DMA with readings from a single ADC channel that is triggered by a timer output compare.  DR register on the ADC shows a stuck value indicating conversions aren’t taking place. I’m using the same trigger for other things successfully, but I don’t see any conversions happening. I'm using HAL_ADC_START_DMA + Cube...are there more config steps for trigger mode? As a possible substitute, I disabled the trigger option and kept continuous mode enabled. I can see a single conversion and DMA transfer take place at startup, but not continuous.  I read this can be due to overloading DMA with constant requests, so I set the sample time to 640 clock cycles, but it didn’t change anything. In this state, I can see ADSTART is 0. If I set it to 1, I get another single conversion and a DMA transfer and ADSTART goes back to zero. It looks like this is nearly work

Hello,I'm porting code that worked on STM32U585CI using SPI1 as full duplex master with GPDMA1 CH4(Rx)/CH5(Tx) to an STM32U585QII using SPI3, again as master with GPDMA1 CH4(Rx)/CH5(Tx). Only 1 SPI is used. I'm using CubeIDE 1.13.2 to autogenerate HAL initialization code, which I confirmed calls MX_GPDMA1_Init() before MX_SPI3_Init(). I compared the autogenerated code between the two chips to see that all IOC-controlled settings came out the same. I've looked some through the reference manual to identify differences between SPI3 v SPI1/2, and also saw this ticket, warning that there is a SPI3 size limitation of 1023 bytes.While I'm also in the process of determining whether there might be a board issue, I'm wondering if there are any subtle gotchas with what I'm trying to do, using SPI3 versus one of the other SPI peripherals. Hi team!I am starting a new project involving a CC/CA Half Bridge. I need to choose an MCU to handle the digital control and send voltage and current measurements over communication (UART or SPI). The switching frequency will be 50kHz, voltage and current must be measured, PWM must be refreshed at the switching frequency rate, and the measured data must be sent once per second.My research led me to the STM32F303xB and STM32F334x4. However, I am not sure if there is a better option for this task.Regarding the MCU, my only requirements are low cost and an LQFP-48 or 32-pin package (small size but not BGA).What MCU do you suggest for this application?Thank you.

I've run into two problems: 1 - DMA is not incrementing the memory buffer('Increment Address' is checked on CubeMX and hdma_adc.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_ENABLE). It overwrites every data read on the same address. 2 - Regardless of Data_Width value, DMA is only copying the first byte to the destination address.(overwriting previous values - see 1 and attached pictures). I just find my HAL_UART_Transmit() function cost 15ms. why does it cost so much time?The UART speed is 19200, and I use GPIO set and reset function to check the time cost.Total data length of send buffer is 29 bytes. and I use a 15ms polling loop to call this function, so it cost me over 30ms for every msg sending task, but for 19200 speed, it should only need 12.1ms for each 29 bytes.

I am using TIMER 14 for counting test durations in my projects however I am lagging off aroumd 5 mins per week.How can i implement the same with RTC counter?

Problem Statement: Amplifying Low-Amplitude Audio Signal on STM32 Nucleo64 BoardHello STM community! I'm new here and seeking some guidance. I'm working on a project using the STM32 Nucleo64 board to create an announcement maker. My setup involves using an interrupt to handle an 8kHz frequency sampled audio, which is converted into an array. This array is then outputted from a PWM pin.However, I'm facing an issue with the audio amplitude. The output signal amplitude is very low, less than 3.3V, which is insufficient to trigger the amplifier circuit and effectively broadcast the audio.Is there a way to internally amplify the signal output coming from the STM32 board? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

In the reference manual page 95 is written that can debug:But in the register DBGMCU_CR dosn't exists a flag for the low power sleep mode. I'm using a STM32H753 with external RAM. We were using it for LCD framebuffer. Now we are trying to migrate the stack and heap to the external RAM, when we run the code, getting hardfault on lines where std::array is declared. Any idea on how to debug further?  

I have an issue when changing the option bit of STM32H742 to change the RDP level to 1.I read out option bit from register FLASH->OPTSR_CUR, change the RDP bits to eg 0xBB, write the result to FLASH->OPTSR_PRG and then set bit FLASH_OPTCR_OPTSTART in FLASH->OPTCR.After that the system hangs, even a hard reset (NRST) does not work anymore. It needs a power cycle. After that the software runs normally and the option bits are programmed as set.As the option bits are properly programmed I obviously can't debug after setting OPTSTART. I get errors "can't read memory" and "can't set breakpoint" and so on.CPU runs with 1.8V at 480 MHz, can this have any impact?(I am not using HAL)Thanks for any help

Hi all, I've been working on reducing the power consumption of a project I'm working on using the STM32G431.Stop modes are not an option on this chip since I need to keep some peripherals active, but I've beenable to reduce the needed system clock to below 1Mhz, and use the LP-Run/Sleep modes exclusively. I've gone as far as I can in terms of reducing overall frequency. According to the CubeMx power estimator pane, I can  reduce the power consumption further by about 75% by avoiding the use of a crystal and supplying an external clocksignal instead. This so-called "HSE Bypass" mode powers down the oscillator circuit as well as the PLL.  But I've run into a wall in implementing this. If I can't use a crystal, what do I put on the board to generate my (say, 1Mhz) clock? I don't have an FPGA or a big-brother CPU on the board to provide the clock. And to add one would negate the power savin

We have met strange problems reported by our customer but can't reproduce the phenomenon in our lab when taking the controller back from customer. The controller works properly after we erase full chip and reload program.After some analysis, we guess it is caused by flash corruption in data section. We reserve sector 5 to 11 to store some constant data related to some perpherals' setting, if this section got corrupted, the controller won't work properly (it would get stuck somewhere in the program because the perpherals are incorrectly configured).Can anyone give some suggestion on the cause of flash corruption? I have already set the BOR level to highest. I am working on an application using an STM32U5A5 nucleo board with four MEMs PDM output format microphones. The microphones are configured such that data is valid for the left channel on a rising clock edge and valid for the right channel on a falling clock edge. I wanted to use the STM32F439 timers, any of them but timer 8 seems to be the best one with my current peripherals, to act as a trigger source. Basically, the timer would drive a pin low, and at specific counts of the timer, drive the pin high for ~50ns, then reset low. The counts that change the output would be software defined. The trigger would also be software defined. An external oscillator is used to ensure accuracy. The load should only be about 10 pF and 5.5 uA.Would it be better to bit-bang the output with internal timers instead?

HI, my application is a tcp echoserver which works perfectly but, only for 10-20 minutes, after don't ping anymore. I recently have purchased a BME280 I2C sensor, which measures pressure, temperature, and humidity. I wanted to create a library for it to measure those variables. the problem is that the result (at least, the temperature measurement) is wrong.it throws the following: temperature -> 106.2 °C (sometimes, -143, it should show 28 °C or 30 °C)humidity -> 76% or 53% (this seems the most accurate because it shows 76% when I'm touching it and 53% when not, but sometimes, it just shows 0%)pressure -> 1137.27 Hpa (according to google, where I live, the average pressure in Hpa is 1009)I was following the datasheet for the compensation formula and reading data recommendations. I am experiencing an issue with the Dual Boot Bank Swap Boot Loader on my STM32G474RE microcontroller. I am able to run code for GPIO led Toggle in both flash memory banks by swapping the banks using SwitchBank function (executed once), but neither bank successfully blinks an LED as expected. Despite this, I can observe that some data is being written to the flash memory  when I compare the boot address 0x08000000 and 0x080400000 through the STM32CubeProgrammer which are same.Possible reasons could be incorrect flash memory configuration, improper vector table offset, incorrect interrupt configuration, flawed bootloader logic, or improper peripheral initialization. Could you provide some guidance on any potential causes and troubleshooting steps for resolving this issue?  I have tried to swap the boot loader, tried with the linker address change and Flash Erase and set the boot loader to the initial address for both the banks and run th

Hi, in my current audio processing set up I have a CODEC set as master connected to my STM32F446RE (slave). The current configuration utilizes I2S DMA interrupt callbacks to handle the input and processing of these samples received. The CODEC receives an external clock signal of 12.288 MHz in order to achieve a sample rate of 48 KHz. How can I calculate the amount of time we receive every sample from the CODEC to the STM32F446?
