STM32 MCUs Products

I am planning to develop fingerprint device based on STM32H7R3V8 or similar. It will have 1:1, and 1:N finger matching, and communicate over LAN, WiFi.Will the above MCU be sufficient for a 25,000 users (i.e. 50,000 fingerprints) capacity device and perform well? Kindly suggest a suitable MCU.

Hello! I am currently working on a project involving a NUCLEO-F746ZG board that is connected to a local NTP server and another board (let's call it X). My board needs to be synchronized with the NTP server and receive 3 pairs of timestamps from board X. These 3 pairs represent 3 time intervals during which my board must allow a signal to pass through it and reach board X. I can compare my board to a valve that lets water flow through a pipe at a specific time. My board should not introduce latencies greater than 1ms (I understand that NTP can achieve these performance levels), and because of this, I think synchronization with the NTP server should be done quite frequently. Could you give me some advice on how to start this project and what I would need? Maybe some materials would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I am trying to implement usart2 tx with dma1 stream 6 channel 4. I have tested the usart2 tx independently and it worked perfectly, but the dma part was not that lucky, it just wasn't send anything and I couldn't find anything wrong in my code. As a newbie C developer and Stm32 user. Hi everyone,we have prototype with three STM32F030RC and with very strange behavior. All mcu has shared NRST (pulled up, for testing not externally driven) and BOOT0 (for testing pulled low permanently) pins. For a testing purpose I created clean project in CubeIde (1.5.1), in MX was configured only GPIO and in main while loop was added one pin toggle after 1ms (just for doing anything). When I'm stepping debugger line after line ('step-into'), application works well, but when I hit 'resume' button (or the 'step-over' button is pressed a few time) MCU is resetted (OCD prints 'external reset detected') and after pausing the code is 'lost' somewhere around 1xffff... Address according to manual belongs to the bootloader. When I check RCC_OCR register, it says the 'software reset' occured. When I'm looking to BOOT pin with osciloscope the signal is rock stable low and NRST pin is truly dropped into reset for about 40us.I really don't understand what is w

I am transmitting a CAN signal using bluepill but there is no signal on the CAN Bus. The interrupt from the capture is triggered regardless of the window. Hi,I have been trying to implement a TCP server on a STM32F745ZG MCU using lwip library and ST example codes, however while I am trying to send data packets with payload bigger than 1460 bytes, my server wont be able to replay the client packet and the connection stops.I know the ethernet standard MTU is 1500 bytes and the corresponding MSS is 1460, so i tried to increase mtu in both "ethernetif.c" and "lwipopt.h" files and also check this MCU reference manual and it seems it support bigger data packet size:However, i still have no success in sending TCP payload bigger than 1460 Bytes.Any help or hint would be highly appreci

I have been looking at the power consumption on an STM32U031K8U6 when it is put into standby mode with the RTC setup to regularly wake up the processor. Most recently I had the wake-up time set to 250ms. The processor wakes up and does the following- the requisite initialization- resets the RTC wakeup timer- gets a wakeup count from a backup register and increments it- if the wakeup count is greater than or equal to 40:   * the wakeup count is set back to zero   * an LED is turned   * HAL_Delay(5) is called   * the LED is turned off.- the new wake up count is written into the backup register- HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode() is called to put the MCU back into standby mode.------------The above code works as expected.I have been using STM32CubeIDE with the Device Config

We have custom HW with an STM32F303VC processor.There is a 12 MHz crystal with an 18pF in parallel wired to OSC_IN and OSC_OUT.The power budget is basically unlimited so we would like to run the device as fast as possible with this configuration.Peripherals used:I2CSPIPWM on TIM1 and TIM3TIM2 (SYS) TimerUSBUSART1USART2GPIOADCThe application functions correctly with the exception of the UART Baud rates being incorrect and the PWM frequencies are not what I expect. Auto baud detection is working for now and the PWM is connected to a duty cycle dependent device so this is not really a problem for now as well.I would like to get the baud rate straightened out and get the clock settings optimized. Hi, I am attempting to enable TIM1 to act as my program's tick timebase as SysTick is being utilized by the FreeRTOS kernel to generate PendSV interrupts. I configured this in CubeMX (Timebase set to TIM1) but I cannot get TIM1 to start ticking. Attached is an image of TIM1's register set. I can't seem to figure out what configurations I am missing, CEN bit in CR1 is enabled and set to upcounting mode, and the ARR value is set to 0x3E7 to generate a tick increment every 1ms. 

Hello, I am trying to do one simple task with my STM32 board using just registers and interruptions in USART2.Basically I have to wait until I receive data via serialPort, then activate interruption that should increment the value of my data by 1. Hello Team,I am using the STM32F469NIH6 to implement a timer triggered DMA and I need some clarity on a few points here-I see that that there are three possible requests possible for a timer triggered DMA. I understand that the TIM8_UP is to trigger a DMA request with an update event (which occurs when the counter overflows/underflows) What is the TIM8_CH4/TRIG/COM all about? How is it different from the TIM8_CH1 request?  Any leads on this would be of help ! Thank you,Janani Sunil

I have designed my own PCB and I have the problem that while the code uploads successfully, it doesn't run.I have checked NRST and BOOT0 and both should not be the problem. I have found a similar issue where the chip didn't get a clock signal and therefor was stuck. I have used the debugger to step through the code and it went past HAL_Init but I never come past SystemClock_Config, when trying to step into it the debugger throws 'Cannot find bounds of current function'. I am new to designing PCBs and I don't really know where to go from here or what the issue could be.It is not the debugger itself as I can run the blinking sketch with no problems on a dev boa

I referred MOOC USB training(https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnMKNibPkDnFFRBVD206EfnnHhQZI4Hxa), configured Host by (11.1 VCP Host lab) video and Device by (9.1 and 9.2 VCP)video. Host is sending data which is successfully received by Device(OUT direction communication is working), but when Device sends the Data unable to receive that data on the HOST(IN direction communication is not working). Hi, I am using STM32F407 board to communicate with a serial device. I have been using HAL_UART_Transmit() to send the data and using HAL_UART_Receive_DMA() to receive the data. Part of the code is shown below. After every receive command I am supposed to receive the transmitted data back and additional 8 bit reply. But I am not receiving anything. Is there something wrong with the way I am using the commands. Also when I use plain receive HAL_UART_Receive() instead of DMA, program is stuck in HAL_UART_Receive() function. I am currently trying to get an SD card working with SPI on an STM32L4R5ZI Nucleo board, using STM32CubeIDE V1.13.2 using the latest L4 embedded package. I currently have my code opening the card and even opening the file (I receive FR_OK for both, even tested with invalid directories/files to verify they fail with the incorrect data).  However, when I try to read from the SD card, I receive FR_INVALID_OBJECT code, which seems to be described here:FR_INVALID_OBJECT The file/directory object is invalid or a null pointer is given. There are some reasons as follows: It has been closed, or the structure has been collapsed. It has been invalidated. Open objects on the volume are invalidated by voulme mount process.
