Hi,I am developing a bootloader, I would like to flash the STM32 using another MCU using USART.My question is, If it possible to enter into bootloader mode without using external pins? I would like to enter just by software, is that possible?I see that all the bootloader activation patterns include PIN state. is there any other way to do it without pin? RegardsManuel

I'm trying to configure the I2C to run at 1Mhz(Fm+) on STM32L496. As per the RM0351, it does support fast mode plus mode. I tried generating the code from STM32Cube IDE and check the SCL pin of logic analyzer. However, I see 400 khz I2C clock frequency. Hello ST community,   I am currently programming an ECU system, using f446re nucleo board. Right now i am trying to communicate with BMS using CAN communication. So far, everything has been set: CAN Initialization and start, sending works properly. The issue i am facing is that i cannot receive frames from battery, even though i can communicate with laptop for UDS protocole (Reception works properly in that case), but when i try with the battery, the debug mode doesn't stop at the rx interrupt routine. So the background is essentially this - I am trying to use one of the streams of STM32F4 DMA2 in circular, DBM mode.The DMA stream is being used to move data out of the SPI DR register at regular intervals, as soon as data becomes available at SPI RX (the dma stream and channel respond to the SPI RX dma requests).In DMA transaction complete callback, I am updating the M0 base address (which is allowed because in DBM mode, the DMA would switch to the memory region defined by M1). I however see some SPI data being missed/skipped right after the first NDTR data. Things I have tried - Reducing the rate at which SPI is receiving data. Hello,We're currently facing a weird problem with our project and FreeRTOS. I've asked in the FreeRTOS forum (see FreeRTOS Forum post), and the ARM forum (ARM Community Forum), but without success. The problem manifests itself in the program hanging in one of the RTOS asserts on system power up. After some forward and backward (see other thread), my conclusion is that, at boot, when the RTOS uses the sleep function for the first time, one of the CPU registers is cleared without any obvious reason. Hello,I plan to use STM32H745 controller with touchGFX for UI. I'm trying to upload code to an STM32F103RET6 MCU and have a simple setup by now (see image below). I have attached a LED to pin PA1 as a GPIO OUTPUT and an external oscillator at 16 MHz. The other three pins are connected to the JTAG connector that goes to the STLINK v2. When i generate the code to perform a simple blink I'm having trouble with the HAL_Delay function. On STM32F205VGTX, when I put cpu in sleep by using this command: HAL_PWR_EnterSLEEPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI); CAN peripheral stops working. It does not acknowlege bus messages anymore and there is no CAN interrupts to wake up the cpu.I had a look at the datasheet, I was not able to find whether CAN is supposed to or not supposed to work in cpu sleep mode.My question is if this is how it is supposed to be, or I need to do some more to keep CAN alive in this mode. Thanks

When I write to the DAC register DHR12R2 within less then 1.5 mlsec from enabling DAC, its value is transferred to the DOR2 register as expected, but the voltage on the output pin PA5 remains zero indefinitely. Writing to the DHR12R2 after 1.5 mlsec from enabling becomes visible on the output pin.Configuration:STM32L496, VDD=3.1V, VDDA=3.1V, core/bus clocks=64MHz.DAC: no software/hardware triggers. No calibration requests. MCR=0 (MODE=0: buffered output).Datasheet says Twakeup <=7.5 microseconds for the DAC. But waiting even 1000 microseconds does not help.[my possible explanation: VDDA startup curve is different from VDD] 

In the STM32F469, can the bus arbitration priority (amongst the different bus masters) be changed? From my reading of the Application Notes and the Reference Manuals this doesn't seem to be the case. But I'd like to get a confirmation just the same.  I wanted to give DMA2 a higher priority over the core, but I suppose that's not how it works by default (or at any point, if the arbitration prioriy assignments are fixed)

I have a bootloader project that can jump to a QSPI application under normal conditions. When I first install this application and then install my application that I created separately for QSPI, it works without any problem.(Bootloader + App).But what I want to do is to combine bootloader and application projects. I tried to add the App code into the Bootloader application with a method like below, but even if the compilation result was successful, the debugger gave an error and I could not load the application to flash.  My App Code

I'm trying to understand the USART1 boot loader operation on STM32C031F6P6. AN606 rev 63 pg 53 says USART1 Rx/Tx must be on PA11/PA12 (TSSOP20), but CubeMX 6.11.1 does not let me assign those functions to those pins. CubeMX wants to assign USART1_TX to PB6, PA0, or PC14, but none of those match what is in AN606 for USART1 boot loader operation.

Hello everyone, I'm currently attempting to connect the STM32F769I-DISCO to a WiFi network using an ESP8266-01 module. I've enabled UART5 and assigned it to the ESP's RX and TX pins, as specified in the STM32F7 datasheet, and I've supplied power to the CH_PD pin on the ESP8266. However, I'm encountering an issue where I'm not receiving any responses from the ESP8266 in the debugger console. So my questions are: 1. Am I using the correct code to activate and connect the ESP8266 to WiFi?2. How can I determine if the ESP8266 is sending responses once it's successfully connected? Greetings, I am trying to re- initialize the UART port  which i have already initalized with different settings. I Have used HAL_UART_DeInit() before initializing. The problem i face is after the function is run i see the same configuration which i removed. i am facing similar issue on ADC peripheral when i configure and init different set of channel in different init function for same ADC.But i just see only one configration being used. I have been unsuccessful in using TIM1 in Output Compare mode. I was trying to use the code that works for the general purpose timers but I cannot get it to work with the advanced timer TIM1. I read online that it is because it was an advanced timer and I had to set the TIMx_BDTR.MOE bit. Hi, the charging logic is implemented based on ADC values and I've designed the logic to capture the peak value from the PWM waveform using an oscilloscope. The main logic works fine during the first charging cycle, but when I try to charge for the second time, there's a period where the ADC value drops below 100. Here are the states: main_state 0: idlemain_state 4: chargingmain_state 5: charging completeInitially, when the ADC voltage value drops to around 1800, the NFC card is tagged to start charging. The charging stops when the ADC value hits 1800 again, and the state returns to idle (main_state 0). In the idle state, after tagging the NFC card and the ADC value goes to around 1800, the ADC value doesn't go above 40, even though the scope shows that the voltage is normal. The expected ADC value should be above 1000, but it doesn't rise above 40. What could be the reason for this issue? Should I reset the ADC to read the correct value
