Hi everyone,I’m testing a 32Mb serial QUAD SPI RAM (ISSI – ISS66WVS4M8) with the nucleo – H723ZG development board.It works fine if I use all the QUAD SPI commands but my need is to use it in memory mapped mode.When i use the memory mapped mode configuration I notice a problem in the write phase.The test that I’m doing consists in writing a sector of the memory and then reading it, checking that both operations are fine.So, after having set the memory mapped configuration, I try to write with a for cycle 128 values inside the memory. Here is the strange thing: if these 128 values that I try to write are a “uint64_t�?  type the write operation works fine.But if I use “uint8_t�? or uint32_t�?  type, write operation don’t work and some of the values read in the memory are not correct.I also have noticed that with the 64bit variable, the “CHIP SELECT�? signal is correctly set low at the beginning of the operation and set

Hello, I have a DMA stream working in Normal mode (Mem to Peripheral). Hi, I wanted to clock my timer output using LSE crystal, but unfortunately only tim2 is supported with this feature. But then I saw an option of LSCO as output in cubemx, this enables the pin on MCU and according to documentation this output LSE clock on that pin. So I was thinking about routing this signal to timer input as timer is going to be configured in ETR mode. So my question here is has anyone tried it and does it work ? is it even possible to route LSCO to multiple timer inputs ?  I cant test it as I dont have a dev kit on my hand and only a custom board. 

Hello,I am currently developing a Bootloader for a STM32H562. The Bootloader checks, if there is a valid application present by calculating a checksum over the application area. To avoid getting ECC errors during the checksum calculation, I disable the ECC NMI for this procedure. (see attached code snippet image "Code_CRC.png")Summary of the planned procedure:* disable ECC NMI* read data from the flash memory* enable ECC NMIUnfortunately, the NMI is still generated even though I have disabled its generation by the bit "ECCNMI_MASK_EN" in the "SBS_ECCNMIR" register.In my test case I write 4 words at the flash address 0x0800'8000. Then I write 4 different words again at this location (without erasing) which seems to cause an ECC double bit error at this location.Now I reset the processor and execute the procedure in the code snippet. Hi everyone i got this error when i try to use hal_delay functionhttps://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubemx-mcus/stm32cubeide-1-7-mcu-package-l4-series-1-17-vtor-is-not/m-p/220563 I applied this solution it works now but the real time passed is the double of which i writed in the delay function. for example if i use HAL_Delay(500); in real time the time has passed is 1000 mS how can i solve this issue ?

My only need is to use QSPI (dual mode bank1) as a simple/normal SPI to drive external DAC (AD5066).  I should only use the Data phase, I don't need the Instruction, Address, Alt and Dummy phases of the QSPI.I have to use:QUADSPI_CLK---> DAC_CLKQUADSPI_BK1_NCS---> DAC__CSQUADSPI_BK1_I00/SO(MOSI)---> DAC_MISOQUADSPI_BK1_I01/SI (MISO)---> DAC_MOSI ( no need for DAC because is only slave) I would like to use only the Data phase of the QSPI to send the 4 Bytes for the ADC (command, channel, data bits ...)It is possible to use the QSPI as a SPI normal with a ADC and not with a flash memory? I've tried using the example

 I am using CAN peripheral and for debugging I am using USB-CDC to receive the status of the CAN transfers and Reception. The issue I am facing is The USB was recognized as Virtual Port when Only USB was initialized and used but when Implemented with CAN the Virtual port had failed to get recognized.Is there a way to overcome this problem?

I have I2C working properly, but can't seem to figure out how to recover the bus and get it to working again if I test for the presence of a device that is not on the bus and therefore I2C_Mem_Read() returns HAL_ERROR.  There are other devices on the bus, but HAL_ERROR seems to be latched and calling MX_I2C4_Init() again doesn't undo it and allow a retry.  The project is built with EWARM 9.30.1 and STMCubeMX 6.11.0.Suggestions?  Background:  I know this is working and checked it against an oscilloscope/protocol analyzer; what's happened is that one of my 2 I2C devices is unplugged and I want to recover from the error.I2CResult = HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c4, (0x22<<1)|0x01, 0x0C, 1, ExpanderConfig, 1, 100);(device is on I2C4 pins, i2c address is 0x22, register address is 0x0C, address size is 1, we are writing 1 byte of ExpanderConfig, an array, and waiting 100ms for timeout)

Hi I am trying to run FREERTOS enabled USB CDC Host on my device having STM32F756 MCU.My firmware package version is v1.17.1 which I think is the latest version for the F7 series. For this what is the latest version USB CDC Host Drivers which is supported?The automatically generated one via cubeIDE always shows v1.0.0I can see that the latest version out there on Git is v3.5.2 whereas in the notes states that update to support v3.4.1

Hello, I measured my SPI transmission takes ~600 CPU cycles @ 250MHz, so it's about 2,5us to transmit 2x 8-bit array.I'm using HAL (cube IDE). How can I speed it up? I need to make 4 transmissions like this, so it's ~10us. I need it to work with I2S, so it consumes half of sample time only for SPI transmissions... SPI runs @ 31MHz and I can't speed it up bacause of periphera's speed.   I'm using STM32H562RG; SPI3, only transmit mode on pins PB3 and PB5. I've read I can make SPI only on registers, but I can't make it working. Any suggestions, please?

Hi, im trying to work on external Flash with filex and levelx, and the external flash chip is "IS25LP064D ". i was trying to configure the OSPI, in the memory type other than micron, macronix, AP memory and Macronix RAM. I'm not able to see any other option. so while choosing for the memory chip which im using what to be selected.? or does U5 series supports the ISSI chips?

Hello everyoneI'll receive soon a custom board based on an STM32 microcontroller (still not sure about the specific part number) and I'll have to flash FW updates on it. A few questions about it:1) There's a 4 pin header connector on the board (VCC, SWCLK, GND, SWO) and I have two STLink programmers (STLink V2 and V2/ISOL). Is this connection scheme correct? (Left header connector, right STLink 20 pin connector).VCC -> 1SWCLK -> 9GND -> 3SWO -> 132) Will this work fine even if I have no SWDIO pin on the header connector? Thank you very much in advancedNick 

I have a sensor which send LIN message to vehicle, I want to read value of current, voltage, etc, form this message by SMT32. I connect LIN Wire to IO of MCU. How can I connect and analyze data?

I’m trying to create a CMake build for an STM32F4. Everytime I flash the CMake build the device gets bricked. When I do a full chip erase and flash again with a working binary, it still doesn’t work. Note that this second binary was working before but won’t work after  flashing the CMake build. My build has a boot loader by the way, so what happens is that we jump from the boot loader to the main program but nothing happens. I’m confused as to why even though I erase the chip this doesn’t work normally immediately, I have to keep disconnecting and connecting the ST-LINk then it works randomly.

This should be simple, but I can't find documentation.   I am running an STM32L4P5 at max clock speed (120 MHz), and I have moved all code to SRAM so it is running with zero wait states.    I have an extensive calculation to do using the FPU -- I am optimizing retained constants and such in the FPU registers.  I am wondering if any of the FPU instructions take longer than a single clock tick to execute.   Divide?  Square root?  Are there any inserted wait states?If there is a solid answer and it is in the documentation, please point to where it is docced.    Thanks!
