I'm trying to understand the following excerpts from the STM32L476 datasheet, which seem to contradict:In Table 20 - the absolute maximum voltage on the VREF+ pin is given as 4.0V (VREF+ I assume falls under the "other" category). Table 76 seems to indicate that VREF+ can never exceed VDDA. Does this include during power on and power off, or is this just a steady-state condition to satisfy the accuracy performance of the ADC? And if the latter, is it fair to assume that VREF+ can be as high as 4V, even if VDDA is 0V, as Table 20 would suggest?

In a thread for ADC processing I start the ADC process by calling HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() then drop into a loop that waits for a semaphore to know when the conversion is complete. When the conversion is complete, the ADC thread collects and processes the data from the structure where the DMA put it. Then, after a delay, the ADC is started again using HAL_ADC_Start_DMA().  The first conversion results in the values swapped where VBat contains the temperature and temperature contains the VBat

Hi I encountered problem while working on project. I am trying to establish connection between devices using RS485 interface. Slave device has been designed to control servo motors, positions to be set are sent from the master. Everything worked fine until I added slower_move function for slowing initial movement of the motors. Function is called upon request of calibration or starting movement. Calibration works fine with this function but when I try to start movement servos are going to desired position and then stop. It looks like HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_IT is not executed or somehow function is entering infinite loop. When I tried debugging slave code execution RX_DATA buffer is not updated after calling initial movement. Also motors start to move after restarting slave device which again indicates either infinite loop or not executed HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_IT. Hello,I am having trouble in getting PC14 and PC15 working as GPIOs on the STM32F401. The reference manual says that "The LSE oscillator pins OSC32_IN and OSC32_OUT can be used as general-purpose PC14 and PC15 I/Os, respectively, when the LSE oscillator is off.". However I still cannot use them as GPIOs, despite disabling LSE. I am aware of the current limit and the backup power domain. In my design Vbat is connected directly to Vdd and I enabled the backup power domain in RCC. I've been working with an STM32CubeIDE project based primarily off STM32CubeU5 MCU package v1.4.0 (Projects\STM32U575I-EV\Examples\DCMI\DCMI_ContinousCap_EmbeddedSynchMode). The main changes I've made is changing the image format to JPEG and playing around w/ various resolutions. I'm able to retrieve images when resolution is as high as 720p. But when I increased the resolution to 1920x1080, the camera does not seem to be outputting data anymore (OV5640_Config() returns OV5640_OK, but I no longer receive interrupts for when the buffers are filled up). Hi! I'm using a custom board with STM32H563 and recently, I've set up the Ethernet connection, but I'm encountering issues with GPDMA interrupts for controlling a PWM signal for one wire communication to control addressable LEDs. In my project, I'm using FreeRTOS, where the Ethernet and the LEDs system threads are independent. After approximately four DMA interrupts, it jumps to the NMI_Handler. However, if I disable Ethernet (MX_ETH_Init()), the LEDs system functions properly. I've tried different priority configurations and switched to a more suitable DMA channel, but I still can't get it to work properly. Is there something important I should consider when using Ethernet and DMA simultaneously?

Hello, I am using the STM3210E-EVLA board. I want to create files on an SD card. While consulting the documentation for the STM3210E, I noticed that the size of the SD card is 128 Mbytes, whereas I am using an 8-GbytesSD card. I have written a simple code (below), but it does not display anything and does not work correctly (I have properly included the FATFS libraries). I am wondering if the large size of the SD card I am using compared to the one supported by the STM32 could be causing the issue. Thank u.

Hello all,I am trying to interface 24C16RP EEPROM with my MCU soldered on breakout board and  it seems like the EEPROM is behaving very weird when i am trying to write and read. first of all it starts to write from position 1 not from zero of an array that i have created to store the data and i tried a lot to figure out the cause but i couldn't and the weird part is that after writing to a specific page if am trying to read any other page of the entire page address it returns the same date i have written to it. As i know this EEPROM has 16 byte of page size and 128 pages correct me if i am wrong. For the onboard OV5640 camera module that comes with the STM32U575I-EV, I would like to know how to get several of the largest resolutions for my JPEGs. I noticed the 2592x1944 that the OV5640 datasheet lists, but I'm also interested in whether other resolutions, or even custom resolutions, can be configured that still uses most/all 5MP of the camera.From previous work I've already done, I already successfully configured the camera/DCMI to output JPEGs with smaller resolutions.

The example project I'm basing most of my code off of is from the STM32CubeU5 MCU package  v1.4.0 (Projects\STM32U575I-EV\Applications\FileX\Fx_uSD_File_Edit). I'm looking to eventually apply this code to my primary project that saves JPEGs from a camera into the SD card. The plan is that each time a certain amount of JPEG data arrives (currently using an amount of 38,400 bytes), I call fx_file_write() to write the data into a file on the SD card. But the writes do not seem to be fast enough for my application (the 38KB of data arrives every 10ms, but each file open/write/close is taking between 30-60ms; I'm using LED toggles to determine these timing measurements). I'm opening this post to ask about ways to speed up the FileX write calls.

I previously made another post regarding minimal adjustments to the DCMI example from the v1.4.0 MCU package. I've made several changes since and now, instead of determining the expected performance, would like to maximize the performance, namely the FPS, of the OV5640 (w/ both 720p and 1080p JPEGs). I've gotten as far as 720p JPEGs coming in around 24fps, solely from increasing OV5640 PCLK (and I'm still working on correctly configuring for 1080p images). Hi everyone :)I need your help. I am currently writing my masther thesis and I need robust and not noisy ADC read. I am using Nucleo board in my project so I hope hardware should have no effect in my case. The problem is ADC quality. I've tested three different boards: F411RE(100MHz) F207ZG(120MHz) H745ZI-Q(400MHz). All boards were running with their internal RC clocks.ADC for each one was configured in similar way i.e.:- ADC clock around 7.5MHz,- 12bit resolution,- measurement frequency 10kHz (triggered from timer ISR),- sample time around 15 cycles,- polling method.For test purpose I chose 1.5V battery to be measured and I realised that unfortunately only F411 returns stable voltage. I mean the noise was Vpp=10mV. Whereas the other mentioned boards delivered really unstable values (noise Vpp=250mV). I don't understand what is going on :frowning_face: 

About a month ago (April 2021) I purchased STM32F469I-Disco from mouser.de here in Germany, my first discovery board with display. Things went fishy from day 1, but only after more than 2 weeks of black screen I realized: my disco has a different screen with a different LCD driver IC than in the examples! (which is NOT indicated ANYWHERE! I have to be a telepath apparently to know that, good job, ST).My disco is incompatible with examples specifically for my disco. The LCD either stays off or shows random gargabe image slowly dimming around the edges and then in the middle over 2 minutes - hard to say what exactly goes wrong with it, seems like configuration problem of some sort, doesn't seem like porch problem or anything, seems more complicated.All examples are for OTM8009A IC, while my LCD runs (I think? doesn't say anywhere) on NT35510, for which no drivers exist in the free internet (some random snippets, nothing fitting STM32 with DSI

I'm working on a Simple Boost PWM at 10KHz switching frequency for my Quasi Z source inverter. My requirements: Two PWM channels should generate complementary sine pwm when the shoot through condition is not satisfied. And the two channels should be high as long as the shoot through condition (when the timer is above 193 and below 25) is satisfied. I'm not able to generate complementary PWM outputs with the shoot through condition. I tried implementing timer1 Channel1 and its complementary output but the shoot through signal is also complemented. Any idea on how to complement the PWM signals without affecting the shoot through signal.  I've attached the Image of SBPWM signal.

Can someone tell me if there are any examples of Cortex-M7 configuration for the STM32F7xx series? I'm specifically interested in how to relocate the LwIP RAM heap pointer.
