Hello, I am having trouble getting USART2 to work on my custom STM32F411 discovery board. I have written initialization code for USART2 but I am not seeing any output in my terminal program (minicom). Hi community!I am working on a hobby project (custom pcb) where i need my stm32 mcu to communicate with a wifi chip, which will send data to a second pcb which is a usb dongle with a similar mcu+wifi setup, only that wifi chip acts as an access point only the first mentioned wifi chip can access and send/receive data from.How would i go about this and what wifi chip is recommended for it?I am planning to use the STM32H745IIT6. (maybe a bit overkill, but i need it to process a lot of stuff).Another thing is that i want to connect 16 small boards, (which contain a BMM350 and a BMI323) to the MCU via I2C, because the STM32H745IIT6 has 4 I2C Interfaces. Hi I have recollections from a while ago, that it is possible to have an ST Link connected to one PC, and connect to it via ST Link server from another PC via a network. I have spent alot of time searching trying to find some information on this but have not been successful.So my question is: Is it possible to have an ST Link connected to a usb port on a linux (ubuntu) system, and connect to that ST link via a network connection from a Windows (7) system? The IDE I am using is Atollic Studio. Can someone recoomand where I can find or provide some instructions on how to do this please?Thanks in advanceAndrew

This is for: cubeIDE and the built-in version of cubeMX and STM32F746 disco board.The autogenerated code from cubeMX generates this Error_Handler() function for every (potential) error from the HAL functions. Every peripheral gets the same function call. I set the option to generate separate files for the peripheral initializations.Is there a way to add the peripheral name (LTDC, DMAx, FMC, etc.) to the generated Error_Handler() function and also place it in the individual files?I can do it manually but I don't know how to prevent cubeMX from overwriting the function calls the next time I regenerate the code. Thanks.

I am getting a multiple definitions warning when compiling due to Inc/Legacy/stm32_hal_legacy.h redefining PAGESIZE, which is already defined in limits.h (in the RTEMS lib). I am using STM32H7xx specifically, but this issue appears to affect all of  the STM32 HALs.arm-rtems4.11/include/limits.h line 445#define PAGESIZE                (1<<12)STM32H7xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/Legacy/stm32_hal_legacy.h#define PAGESIZE                      FLASH_PAGE_SIZE When searching I found some corespondents about a pull-request on the stm32f4x HAL to remove this definition from the HAL.

The cubemx example for ADC scan of internal channels for 743-eval shows the converted values being multiplied by 4.  So is it really 16 bit or 14?  I have verified the necessity of multiplying by 4 to get correct readings for VBat.  

Hi, I am using both ADC1 and ADC2 for my project. I want both the ADCs to be configured with different Prescalar . But by doing so I am observing ADC2 working with the ADC1 Prescalar. Why am I facing this issue? Is it possible to configure both the ADCs with different Prescalar?   Thankyou

Dear all.I've implemented a M3 and M4 program ( drive a iLi display and 485 port) now I'm porting it to the H5 (H562RGTX).One of the latest issue I'm facing is the jump from bootloader to application. In M3/M4 i used only LL, and the jump has no problem, simply work.On H5 I must use HAL because of the flash (I must read&write: HAL is a must). But if the application use the HAL it crash (somewere). If I use LowLevel it work.  (example with a simple led blinking).Bootloader use HAL too, and I call HAL_DeInit() before jump (and disable all interrutp, device etc). Why HAL don't work in application?Thanks.

Hi Team, @Peter BENSCH  We  are currently using ST Micro controller STM32G431MBT6 on our project.   We are shorting the following pin combinations for HART output feedback which serves as an input to the HART Out generator: PC15(Pin4) and PC0 (Pin8); PA6 (Pin20) and PE7(Pin30); PD10(Pin49) and PC6(Pin52); PA10(Pin58) and PA11(Pin59)   Kindly confirm that this will not create any impact on the normal operation of the controller.   Hoping for your esteemed quick reply.   Best Regards,Sreejith

Hello,I have a custom board based on STM32767ZIT6 and it has the three CAN peripherals and the USB designed. The goal is to translate the CAN message to USB directly without the need for a bridge but I am facing issues activating the USB and the three CAN peripherals in the software. I am using basic CDC and when I connect the CAN port to a CAN network using the CANDoISO device, the USB disappear from the device manager and the GUI application.Is it possible to use all three CAN peripherals with USB enabled or  have I messed up the configurations such as interrupt priorities and timing or will an RTOS help here?

Hi, Greetings @Peter BENSCH  I am using STM32G431MB controller in my project. I am configuring PB4 as my General purpose Input pin. Ports PB5-PB9 as well as PC8,PC9, PA8 and PA9 are assigned as General purpose outputs connected to Analog HART Mux. In the datasheet, the recommended pull up values are minimum:25K; Typical 40K and Maximum 60K for I/O pins. Can you kindly suggest if we could use minimum value of 25K as pull up resistors for the pins. Regards<Sreejith

I am trying to read 4-20mA Transducer using ADC and DMA Enabled. Normally OLED works fine. But when i enabled DMA, OLED is blank. I'm having trouble reading/writing to internal flash on an STM32H743XI. For a while I've been erasing/programming sectors of internal flash from a custom bootloader without issue but I somehow got the chip into a state now where 4 sectors can no longer be read from and instead trigger a hardfault. I think it has to do with ECC but I'm having trouble verifying that or clearing the error. The issue persists through power cycle. The HAL functions for erasing/programming flash still execute on these bad sectors and return HAL_OK but if I try to read data anywhere in these sectors the MCU hardfaults.Anyone have an idea of what the issue is and how to resolve it?Debugger is also unable to access this memory as shown below:

I would like read the gpio lines at fastest speed. As example it is possible to read first 4 ports by reading:uint16_t ports0123=GPIOC->IDR&0x000F; (it is very fast, takes 28 tics)It is possible to read ports GPIO_PIN_0-15 by connecting GPIOC->IDR to a DMA?and a fast DMA?
