Hi,I'm using 2 STM32F4 MCUs for Modbus TCP Server/Client implementation based on LWIP. One MCU as a Client and other one as a Server. I have connect both MCUs through D-Link DES-1016D ethernet switch.The problem is when I connect both MCUs directly (ie: without Ethernet switch) both Server-Client communicates properly. But if I connect them through switch, communication breaks from server side for some time and reconnects again.If I ping the IP of Client it responds continuously. But when I ping the IP of Server, it responds for sometime and hit Request timeout for sometime.Server IP Ping test

I have written a bootloader that is used to update the application code via a Modbus interface over USB.I'm still working on the code to start the bootloader when new firmware is to be uploaded to the custom board.  My board has a buck and an inverting buck-boost converter that are being controlled by the MCU application code.Right now, I'm planning on generating a software reset to restart the bootloader so that it can start receiving and programming the new application firmware.  If I generate the software reset, I need the USB port to be quickly usable again so that the firmware update utility can continue to use it to transfer the new firmware.Is there a proper and graceful way to stop USB communication in the application code, generate a software reset, then restart USB communication in the bootloader?

Hello.I am trying to learn about DMA with spi. I tried HAL library which worked fine for me, I tried the LL Examples (stm32L4x) provided in repository which worked fine when i am reading once with loopback. Now i am trying to use a full duplex master spi with transmit via polling and receive via dma. But i am stuck with how to set the receiving part continously ( in a while(1) loop after rx complete callback) with normal mode as i have to set different address each time i am receiving data from an external chip.Can anyone provide with some suggestion for this?

Hello forum members, I am currently working on a custom PCB based on the STM32U575ZIT6 microcontroller. I've encountered an issue when configuring PLL1 as the clock source – the code generates a hard fault. However, when selecting HSI or HSE as the source, everything works fine. The challenge is that I am unable to achieve the desired 160MHz clock speed without using the PLL. I've observed that in the RCC (Reset and Clock Control) section, when I choose HSE or HSI, the regulator_voltage_scale is set to level 4. Interestingly, manually changing it to levels 3, 2, or 1 results in a hard fault. I would appreciate any insights or suggestions regarding this issue. Has anyone encountered a similar problem with PLL1 configuration on the STM32U575ZIT6, or does anyone have recommendations on resolving hard faults related to clock configuration? Hello ST Community,I've been troubleshooting an issue with writing to address using system Bootloader on the STM32U5A9J-DK. According to AN3155 Application Note, the data to be written during the 'Write to Memory Command' should be a multiple of 4 bytes. However, during debugging I noticed for the above mentioned device, the data must be a multiple of 16 bytes to be successfully written.This has raised the question: Is there a way to write to the addresses which are multiple of four?Any insights or recommendations on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.Thank you for your assistance in advance!

Hello,I want to make a design with the ADC1283 where DVCC is powered by a 5V buck converter, and AVCC is powered off a 4.5V voltage regulator (that's powered off the buck converter). Is this possible?I can't tell whether DVCC and AVCC are allowed to be significantly different from the datasheet.Not sure if this is the right category in the forum or not; couldn't find one that fit.

Hello everybody, I designed a touch sensor whith the STM32F042 MCU but after a week of constant testing and experimenting still not working. First the problem was that the TSC always get in the too much count error, after I thought that maybe the capacitance of the sensor is too low, so I directly soldered a 33pF capacitor on the sensor. Now it's count value is around 230 but going to hard fault error in the Hal library bytheway the TSC registers have correct values. The sensor itself is far from the ideal on the PCB, it's very close to the MCU and small, but I think it should work, for me it doesn't make sense what I experienced.  I tried all the settings and now I don't know what to try next, please help me whith any suggestions, or anybody who experienced something like this, can tell me the what was the solution?

The MCU is STM32G031J6 on a STM32G0316-DISCO board.The maximum software pin toggling speed I am able to achieve is about 0.7 us.It looks a bit slow for a M0+ running at 48 mhz.Looking at listing file, there is no library overhead (I am using LL).Can someone shed some light on this?

Hello In my project I want to use timer4 of STM32G474RET6 MCU. I want to generate single pulses with programmable width on CH2-CH4. These output pulses from MCU should be with programmable delay from input pulse connected to CH1. Pulses on CH2-CH4 should be with negative polarity ('0'). Output pulse must have enable/disable option (when disabled the output from the disabled channel should be '1'). Delay of each pulse from input pulse should be in resolution of uSec's (delay can be also 0 -> immediate output at the same time as input signal). Width of the pulses should be also in uSec's resolution. The output pulses from CH2-CH4 should be always single (if enabled) - 1 output pulse after each input pulse. Each pulse from CH2-CH4 should have own independent delay/width/enable/disable values. Hi all,I am testing a new dev board I designed to use a 16MHz crystal for the HSE. Been scouring the forums for a few days trying to find potential flaws in my design and/or solutions to no avail.The MCU in question I am working with is the STM32F407ZET6.The oscillator is TSX-3225 16.0000MF18X-AC0.Following the STM32 oscillator design guide, I found the CL1,2 = 8pF, given the oscillator also has a capacitance of 9pF if we take into assumption (per ST guidelines) that stray capacitance of PCB/traces is 5pF. Oscillator is located directly next to MCU so I wouldn't think layout is problematic. I realize the feedback resistance may be a bit high, it's possible I made an error in my calculations from the worksh

Hi Community! I managed to communicate between the STM32-L4A6 (Nucleo-L4A6ZG) and the OV5640 camera module. I can read the camera's ID, set its modes, and even get image data. But there's a problem: the characters in the data I receive turn into unreadable data at some point (check the video link). Initially, everything looks good, but then it gets messy. My goal is to send this data to the computer terminal using LUPART. If anyone knows why this is happening or how to fix it, I'd really appreciate the help. Thank you in advance!   Video: 

Hello everyone,I plan to use an STM32L4R7xx MCU in a project and I want to employ capacitive touch sensors. I've read that the TSC module can assist with this, and I should only design the buttons on the PCB. However, I've also read that water and humidity can cause false detection issues in some applications, and that the best option to avoid problems with moisture and water is to use mutually capacitive touch sensors. So, is it possible to use mutually capacitive touch sensors with STM32L4+ series MCUs like the one I'm going to use?Regards.

If yes, which domain/RAM can I take memory from to increase the D1 domain? I would assume it is done in the XXX_RAM.ld file? How much is it possible to increase it?Best re

Hi,I'm trying to use a SMB alert on a STM32F746NGH6TR. Interestingly, the corresponding interrupt is not getting triggered. I already figured out that the interrupt works if I put the signal on PA9, but it doesn't work on PH9. I already checked for both configurations the GPIO port mode and configuration registers (mode: alternate, configuration: AF4).Considering I can trigger the interrupt when I use a different pin I'm very certain that the I2C configuration should be correct. But regarding the GPIO configuration I'm running out of possible errors on my side, at least I cannot think of anything else. Does anybody have a clue what might be the cause?As a side not, I also checked the signal quality itself. The edge is shorter than 12ns, probably fast enough for this purpose.Regards,Benedikt Schmidt

Good day,I'm trying to control this RGB leds N-PI55TATDatasheet I'm using an STM32H753VIT6To do that I have to create a fairly fast burst of data with pulses of 0.6, 0.3  and 0.9 us.To achieve this I set timer 7 to have an update even every 100nS then I set DMA2 stream 0 in memory to peripheral configuration.The idea is to create a buffer, with the signal timing, and then set the DMA2 to transfer that buffer to the BSRR register of the port I have connected to the leds.And it works, It generates the pulses every 100nS and then writting to the buffer where the sets and resets are I got my signal with pretty ok timing. The problem is that it only works once.Since I won't be updating the leds often, I don't want to create a circular

Hi,I am looking for some guidance on my project. It would be great if someone could help me out.I am trying to perform OTA on STM32F103C8T6 using ESP. The ESP and STM communicate over UART. Here the binary is downloaded by the ESP from a server and, further, it will send the binary to the STM. The STM is responsible for writing it to the application partition using a custom bootloader and booting up the newly written binary.From the above-mentioned process, I am able to perform all the initial steps of downloading the file, transferring it over UART and writing it to flash. But when it comes to booting the new application, it's not working for me. I have also configured the vector table and application address correctly for the application.Do anyone of you have an idea where I might be lacking?

Posted on March 03, 2013 at 13:51Hello, The Timer in my Code generate 1secs Pulse.I discover that with Auto-reload preload enable, I get accurate 1sec pulse but with it disable, I get 1.6secs.I have read the reference manual but could not understand the purpose of Auto-reload preload enable bit.Please can anyone share more light on Auto-reload preload enable bit. Hello! I am trying to start HRTIM TIMA in PWM mode. Clock frequency of HRTIM is 140MHz. I use CubeMX 5.1.0 , chip is STM32F334R8T7. The configuration of the timer is following: set source is timer period event, reset source is timer compare 1 event. Output is TA1.In Main() function I tried to start the timer. Hi,I am working with STM32G4. Hello,I am quite conversant with STM32F401, 411, L476 etc. I am looking for a tiny 8-pin MCU that will have 1 analog input and 2 or 3  digital outputs. If 8-pin is not available in 20 pin TSSOP package will do.  I request the users to help me with selecting a low-end 32-bit MCU. major requirements are:1. The cost should be small.2. The power consumption is not important and many other features are not required. 3. I was thinking of using something small device such as  STM32G030x6/x8 that comes in SO8N & TSSOP package.4. From a software developer's point of view, it would be nice, if it has got an evaluation board such as Nucleo or Discovery or Bluepill, for fast development. 5. Should be easy to program/flash in mass prduction. 6. I do not wish to use 8-bit or 16-bit MCUs for this application. Thanks to all.
