What ability to view the contents of the call stack in CubeIDE is present?, i.e. what functions were called before the crash, preferably in the form of a tree

The system view description files for H5 and U5 are on the website, but it is not for L5 (https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32l5-series.html#cad-resources). Where can I find it ?

I am trying to generate a regular PWM signal using TIM1 CH1N on the STM32-F411RE (pin PA7). I've seen a few posts on generating PWM using the advanced timers but nothing has seemed to work. The code below is the automatically generated code called in the main, and afterwards I call HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1).I set the pulse to 0 expecting there to be a constant low output from the pin but the output seems to be constantly high. As shown above picture, I got my STM32F405 configured as open drain to drive the led that is connected.Also, the same pin connected to via hex inverted (74HCS04D) to invert it and connected to OR gate. But when the GPIO pin in reset (low) state voltage showing as (2.934V) and set state (high) voltage showing as 3.24V. its not driving down to able for hex inverter to output as 1 when the GPIO pin in reset (low) state. Any help on this. Thank you      

I wrote a test that uses the DMA2D to transfer 64kB of data from AXI SRAM to an external SDRAM.  I set the source data to be all 0xFF and started the DMA.  Using the Memory viewer in STM32CubeIDE I see that the SDRAM is getting filled, but there are random gaps filled with 0.  There is no pattern to the gap spacing.  Example gap shown here.  The zeros were written because there were F's at those addresses previously.The MPU is enabled and set as follows:

Hello Everyone i am using stm32G031J6 Microcontroller. I want to generate a PWM signal from Timer 1 working as slave in gated mode, that has a pulse width = 10us and pulse period = 44us  In this microcontroller i am using Timer 3 as a Master which has a PWM signal that has a Burst width = 7ms and Burst Period = 16.67 ms. Hi, I'm trying to get the ethernet interface to work on an STM32H745. After fixing various hardware problems, now I don't just have software problems.I created a simple project with CubeMX, basically I did these things:- Enabled ethrmnet interfaces- Set all pins related to "very high speed"- Enabled LWIP with static IP set to 10.0.1.100/24- Increased Heap Memory size to 10k- Configured the MPU as in the attached document- In the flash.ld file I added this piece: .lwip_sec (NOLOAD) : { . = ABSOLUTE(0x30000000); *(.RxDecripSection) . = ABSOLUTE(0x30000200); *(.TxDecripSection) } >RAM_D2 Then in the mail loop I just put this function: MX_LWIP_Process();I connected an ethernet cable to the board, the link status LEDs light up well, but I can't ping the board's IP.

Hi, I am using a stm32h753 controller for my project, in which I need to store public key which could be updated during runtime. Is there any way I could store it inside the controller securely? Also do the stm32h753's flash has OTP? I could not find one in the reference manual.Aswath

HeyI am working with NUCLEO-H723ZG. I try to sample signal of sine wave at 25KHz to buffefr with size of 100.I want to get something Like Interrupt when the buffer is full.I look for some examples in the internet about the configuration of the IOC but I think I have a problem.1. I can't see in my IOC the the DMA Continuous Request label, in the example in the internet I saw thah this label is importend and need to be change for working with the DMA.2.I have a label in the IOC on ADC section with name of Conversion Data Managment but in the examples I didn't see this label.I try to work with mode that the ADC will sample at baud of 100K and his reference will be the timer.I try configure all the parameters in few ways but I didn't get good resaults. The data in the buffer were wrong (I try to take the data to MATLAB and check how it is look like). I try also to sample signal at 500Hz and the resault were not good also.I attach so

Hi all,Just read RM0440, the section is USART Baudrate generator. There is the formula contatins input never met in all other document. (found 3 times, all of them are on the screenshot). What happened with ST technical writers? I never met cases like that 10 years before. 

We are using a Any bus module M40 in our project which is based on STM32F769BI.The FMC interface is connected to the Any-bus module as per the attached schematics. This interface works for 8-bit mode of anybus. However for 16-bit mode it is not working.I have attached the relevant code also. Want to know if any hardware or code corrections are needed to get this interface working.

Hi,I would like to use this device: STM32H753VIT6 to communicate withan SD-card in SDR104 mode.As I understand it would require an I/O voltage on the card side of 1.8V. This is where I become insecure if the given device can generate this voltage internally or I need a voltage translator?Thank you

Hi,We develop a device based on STM32H7B0. We use this microcontroller with QSPI external flash. In the internal flash we keep our bootloader and in the external flash resides application code. We are now testing our devices and we had 3 cases when the internal flash got erased. In result the devices act "dead" becuase there is no code to initialize and start the application from the external flash.Why does it happen? Nowhere in the bootloader nor in the application code we use instructions to unlock the internal flash, not speaking of instructions to erase it. Is there any other option for the internal flash to get erased?Regards, Piotr

On Thursday, June 29, 2023, I attended the "STM32H5: Ultimate combination of performance, integration and affordability" workshop, which I find very interesting. Workshop participants were informed that the slides and a voucher to order the STM32H5 development board would be sent by e-mail. I spent hours trying to figure out why my interrupt didnt work. I have to say that i didnt go with the HAL_FDCAN_ActivateNotification, so its a bit of my own fault.Nevertheless would i would like to now, if this bit is of a use and if there is more to read about it. The RM does not really explain it, nor does the UM2570 do.

Optimization is already at highest setting, and I am getting 33Hz loop speed with data acquisition.Last resort is going into inline ASM somehow, just don't understand how do I know if compiler is using some particular CPU registers, that could hold registers longer.

I read the messages in here about wrong temperature values including code examples, but still getting wrong values:I need to measure the internal CPU temperature sensor from the STM32H743XIH6. Hi,I am trying to setup GPDMA with ADC with multiple channels on the Nucleo-H563ZI. The DMA should fill a buffer of the length of number of channels in a circular fashion, such that one entry in the buffer array always contains data of the same ADC channel. Unfortunately, I ran into several issues where I would be happy to get some input. 1. How do I enable ADC requests? Is that only possible with the function HAL_ADC_Start_DMA? If I use this function, it fills only the first entry in my buffer and does not circle through it.2. When implementing GPDMA, I am able to get a circular buffer filling to work by setting it up in linked list mode. I create a node for every "transaction", with both the source and destination fixed. The source is the same for all nodes and I define one entry of my destination array as a destination for each node. I have set it up like this because according to the documentation it seems like a request can only trigger the execution o

xTaskGetTickCount() erroneously skips ahead after every 65536 ticks. So when calculating timing using values returned by xTaskGetTickCount(), there are problems! vTaskDelay() has no problems. Hello everyone,I'm seeking guidance on creating a custom dual-core boot using only an external flash.Previously, I managed to accomplish this for a single-core microcontroller, with the bootloader residing in the internal flash while other code (main application and TGFX images) were stored on an external flash. We also developed a custom OTA system, but currently, we're only using one .bin file to update our devices.1. How should I configure both .id files for the individual cores?2. In order to transition to the application, do I need to first jump to one of the cores and then initialize the other? Or is there an alternative method?3. Are there any documents or example codes available for this particular scenario?4. I will always have two .bin files, or I can merge both?I appreciate any assistance or pointers you can provide.
