Using a Nucleo-H745ZI, board revision D-01.According to rev. 5 of UM2408 "User Manual STM32H7 Nucleo-144 boards (MB1363)"USART3 is available via ST_Link. Table 12 lists the config for the virtual com port as the default configHowever, my board had SB103 and SB104 already in place (for clarity SB16 and SB17 also on). I have a very basic program to print via the uart (it works fine on an L476RG) and I have configured USART3 on each of the alternate pins in turn. Hi,  I am using an event as an external clock input into the Advanced Control Timer (TIM1) on a STM32G0x series MCU. For my application it will be nice to low pass filter the signal using the internal "Filter Downcounter" in the chip.  I don't understand the internal digital logic of the filter, nor can I find detail on how this Digital Filter works (Flip-Flops, ect...), but here is my theory and hopefully someone can please share more detail or correct me.    Datasheet Diagram  This is the diagram in the datasheet.  Inputs into fi

HiI have a trigger ( the pink trace) who triggers one delay of 200µs with the help of the timer 3 ( a channel toggles each event, the red trace) . A IT is also generated . Another channel of this timer 3 is used to trigger a one pulse mode pwm with a 100µs period and a duty cycle of 50%. This is the green trace. But I would like to have this result for each pulse of the trigger signal( pink trace) . And it' do not !! How can I rearm this PWM?  The file is  attachedThanks for your help !

I want to take readings from one ADC channel continually and use DMA to store them in a circular buffer. I do have working code which does this, see link below. However, the sampling happens more slowly than I expected.My question is about the rate at which samples are stored in memory. The L432KC ADC is spec'd for 5 Msps. According to the "Clock Configuration" tab on my .ioc file in STM32CubeIDE, I have a 32 MHz clock going to the ADC, and my ADC (1 channel only) is set for a 6.5 Cycle sampling time (4.923 Msps raw sample rate), and the ADC is set for 4x oversampling. I calculate that should be 32 MHz / (6.5 x 4) = 1.231 Msps effective sample rate, if there was no overhead needed by the DMA engine per cycle.So, how much overhead is there? I have one DMA channel active. It is for ADC1, mode: Circular,  Data width: half word, Increment Address: Memory only.  In the code, I set a GPIO pin high in HAL_ADC_ConvHalfCpltCallback() and low at 

Hi, I have converted an CubeIDE project to CPP so I can get a GLCD library working, the Adafruit GFX library, for my STM32F407-Discovery board. This required I rename some files from .C to .CPP. It all worked fine. Now I want to get the CAN interface working and when I call "MX_CAN1_Init()", I get the following error."main.cpp:672: undefined reference to `HAL_CAN_Init"I admit I'm a complete novice to this type of C and CPP hybrid, and I hope someone has a solution that will fix this.I think an "extern "C"" statement would fix it, but no luck, and I'm not even sure I'm using this statement in the source correctly. In cubeIDE's ioc, the original 16M external clock is configured to 25M. Burn the program and debug it. After the program finishes running SystemClock_Config(), debug automatically exits and the program can no longer be burned. Stlink has been unable to find the MCU device. It is guessed that the chip is locked. How to solve? 

We are currently experiencing a critical malfunction with the STM32L476RET6 processor. The intended functionality involves waking up the processor to read a sensor, set an RTC alarm and a GPIO interrupt  and enter Stop Mode 2. The goal is to wake up from either an RTC alarm interrupt or a GPIO interrupt. The issue manifests randomly when the processor enters Stop2 mode –sometimes it fails to wake up from an RTC alarm interrupt but only responds to a GPIO interrupt. We suspect there may be an issue with the clock crystal and its circuit. We are using the ECS-crystal, part number 327-6-16-TR(not the 327-9-16-TR of the screenshot)  , with two 6.8 pF capacitors. Also we we LSE drive is LOW. Attached are files containing basic functions related to clock configuration and RTC alarm, as well as the circuit diagram of the processor with the crystal.  We would appreciate any insights or assistance in resolving this problem.

Hi,I am doing my absolute baby steps in the STM32 environment. My MCU model is STM32F756VGH6. After days of debugging I finally managed to connect my STLINK V3 to the MCU but not run the led blinky :(This TFBGA100 package on a custom breakout board might not be the best for learning. Hello, I'm currently experiencing an issue with the STM32U535 HAL library, specifically when using LPDMA1 and SPI3 (Slave Transmit Only). A sanity check problem arises when the DMA is configured in Circular mode; the `HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA` does not pass this check leading to a failure. However, when the DMA is configured with flat buffering, everything works fine.The issue lies in the fact that `hdmatx->Init` does not match `hspi->Init`. This incongruity seems to happen because the DMA is in circular mode. This mode is emulated by a self-pointing linked list that resets the `C0SAR` to 0 with each iteration, referring to RM0456 section 18.4.13. As such, the `hdmatx` now lacks any containing information, and subsequently, every configuration should be embodied in `hdma->LinkedListQueue`. Therefore, `HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA` should ideally not check `hdmatx->Init`.While looking for possible workarounds, I have a few queries. Given the current scenario, should we

I found in "Figure 11. Memory map" of "Datasheet - production data for STM32F103x8", the address span between Port A and Port B is 1024(0x4001 0c00 - 0x40010800 = 32*32 bits), while I found in "RM0041 - Reference manual STM32F100xx advanced Arm ® -based 32-bit MCUs", there are only 7 32-bit registers for Port A, and there are not preserved space there, so my question is what is the other 25 32-bit space, are they used for remapping "I/Os alternate function configuration"?

Hello all,For a first time i am trying to implement usb vendor device. I am using stm32 standard peripheral library. Basically  CDC class, having modified the interface recognition part. Can i have some direction what i am missing to implement. I'm using NUCLEO U575ZI with LPTIM1 configured as Quadrature ENCODER with 32kHz internal clockIn RUN mode peripheral works properly but when I switch in STOP2 mode peripheral doesn't count.I can assume the peripheral is powered ON because when I exit STOP2 counter value is steel the same before entering STOP2.I'm also using L4 and it works properly in RUN and STOP2 mode.Any idea to solve the problem? Alex

Hi, With the STM32L562E-DK devoplement kit, I have developed a working touchGFX application without Trustzone. The external loader MX25LM51245G_STM32L562E-DK works as expected with STM32CubeProgrammer (version 2.14.0) However, I need trustzone, so I enabled the trustzone bit. Now, with the Trustzone bit, the external loader MX25LM51245G_STM32L562E-DK does not work (the MX25LM51245G_STM32L562E-DK-SFIx is also not working). Not working means: erase one section gives no error (only a message that protected sections are not erased), but programming failes with the message: failed to erase sectors. I'm trying to get multiple timers with interrupts working on an STM32L462 using the provided HAL libraries in CubeIDE 1.14, but every time the chip comes out of reset, it crashes after starting the second timer. I tried to make an interrupt work with encoder input on timer 1. It does not fire interrupts.Interrupts are activated (the code is reached).Are there simply no interrupts possible, or is it another problem that i have to figure out?

I'm using a rs485 IC. I transmit and receive data through it. When I send small amount of data like 10-20 there is no problem but when I try to receive more than 40 HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle makes nonsense. It receive data different then what I send or does not receive all of the buffer. Actually, I've never face a problem like this before. When I hit the breakpoint to see if it is calls callback, it does not. Also, it does not do the same thing when it only receive. I replaced it with HAL_UART_ReceiveDMA and it works well. I spend several days to understand the problem. Is anyone know why it happened, I'm really wondering the problem. So, this is a weird one. We're attempting to bring up watchdog timers on both cores of our product.We're not seeing the CM4 WWDG watchdog fire when we intentionally lock the CM4 in a while loop with no refreshes to the watchdog timer. (I haven't tried the CM7 core yet with similar code).I understand that each core has a watchdog timer (well, two, the WWDG and the IWDG).
