Hi,I am trying to do a memory map with this board W25QXX and it's not working. For some reason even on the original code we can see the function for BSP_QSPI_MemoryMappedMode have a comment (https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/W25QXX_DataFlash_Board). Any idea why?I am using this board, with STM32H743IIT the configuration of my QUADSPI is:

I always get an error after burning the hex file to STM32F302R8. The burning is completed through STM32 ST-LINK Utility. I made a board with H735 . I am using St-link v3 Minie to upload program. My problem is , I can upload 1 time, but not twice. To solve this issue , I boot in mode 1 , erase flash with cube programmer , and then I can upload only 1 time. Error message is "No Target Found" the second time . I suspect something wrong around Jtag/swd pin configuration, I used "device configuration tool" to configure debug pins . I used Jtag 5 pins config as I wired NJTRST . When it works , I see the program download, then verified with success , so , I think that communication between St-Link and MCU is ok . What I am doing wrong ?

Hi,I am working with STM32H753 and I am developing baremetal application using FMC. The FMC is interfaced with an external asynchronous memory, address and data signals are not muxed and there is no need for NWAIT, NADV nor CLK signals.On the FMC side, it refers to an SRAM configuration, and I am trying to figure out the correct configuration to optimize read and write accesses, while respecting the memory specific timings from the datasheet.But to do that, I think the STM32 reference manual is not clear about the FMC kernel clock cycle where the incoming data is sampled for a read access: in Figure 99 of RefMan Rev7, the FMC cycle where the data is sampled by the FMC during the DATA SETUP phase (which duration is defined by the DATAST field of BTR register) is not shown. In section 22.7.4, it is stated that "The FMC always samples the data before deasserting the Chip Select signal." but does it mean "at the last cycle of data setup phase"?

I am using Nucleo STM32 L432KC board with STM32CubeIDE v1.12.1 and doing very basic DSP operations with data values read via ADC through DMA into a circular buffer. It works, but the math is slower than expected.Below is an example loop in my code. All variables are declared type int except for adc_buffer[] which is uint16_t. Hello,I am moving code from one MCU to this old STM32L152 in where the UART is configured as Multiprocessor Mode.I am using STM32 CubeIDEI get compile error..   It looks to me like there is no WakeupCallback at all. HAL_UARTEx_WakeupCallbackHAL_UART_WakeupCallback How was this done?  Where is it?  :) 

I am trying to do disk i/o with a FAT32-formatted SD card (32GB ADATA) using SPI on a STM32H742VIT6.The disk_initialize() function in diskio.c does not complete because it looks like the wait_ready() function is always timing out.static int wait_ready(DWORD timeout_ms) { BYTE d; Timer2 = timeout_ms; do { d = xchg_spi(0xFF); /* This loop takes a time. In datasheet for STM32U5Axx is mentioned:a) "up to 14 I/Os with independent supply down to 1.08 V" - cool, great feature I needb) OCTOSPIM: "efficient OCTOSPI pin assignment with a full I/O matrix (before alternate function map)"What does it mean?Could I route OCTOSPI signals to 1.08V GPIO? (which I would need)When I check which of the GPIOs are 1.08V - I do not see a complete QOCTOSPI pin ALT setting possible on it.But could I bring a Quad-SPI signal set out on the 1.08V GPIOs (setting it to 1.2V)?

Hi all,I am using a STM32H723ZG Nucleo-144 board. Here I have attached a micro-SD card module. I am sampling from one of the ADCs with 8.33 Msps at 8-bit resolution. I am able to transfer the data to RAM using DMA without any loss. However, I wonder if it is possible to use another DMA to transfer the data directly to the SD card without any or minimal CPU intervention due to this high speed, and to avoid loss? I assume I would need to use a filesystem such as FatFS. Can DMA or MDMA etc. support filesystems with SPI or SDIO/MMC?All replies are appreciated!

First bug, i start testing CEC on F051DISCO . Open MX create config for KEIL v5 and generate code.After build and load i spent some hours to locate why code dont receive and hangs. Elaborate bad generated startus assembler file where is IRQ named CEC_IRQHandler,but in code IT !!! void CEC_CAN_IRQHandler(void) And now handshaking code question. Examples in folder firmware is not usable in real life. Can ST or anybody provide CEC for example version 1.4 code with coments... CEC is multidevices bus and developer dont have environment to check and test conflicts etc.

Hello community,I cant get the dma working on the stm32g474. What I did till now:- enabled tim15 -> working with interrupts- enabled dma req. on update event- enabled dma and dmamux clocks in rcc- enabled dma int in nvic -> can be triggered through nvic- configured dma channel 1(with transfer complete interrupt)- configured dmamux -> first in unconditional mode -> only programmed sigid register with tim15_ch1 and also tried tim15_trig, but both are not working -> then I tried sync mode, with tim15_ch1 as input, with event generation and dmamuxch0 as trigger input for dmamux generator, not working- enabled dma channel 1I red something about wait cycles from a similar question after enabling rcc peripheral clocks, so I did that aswell.. Did I miss or forget something?

Hi , I am using STM32L072CZT6 for our low power application. We are using Standby mode with RTC for alarm and periodic interrupt wakeup. The device is wakeup and work properly for more than 12 hours hours. After that the controller didn't operate and we have to reset it externally (low pulse in MCU RESET pin). Even if we power off and ON the device it will not respond, we have to reset it manually. What will be the issue ? 

i want use TIM1 CH1 in input capture using DMA.The DMA is set to peripheral to memory and store the data in a buffer of 100 elements.When the transfer of the 100 data is completed i want generate a TIM1 interrupt. Wich kind of interrupt of TIM1 i have to see and enable?:1) TIM1_BRK_UP_TRG_COM_IRQHandler 2) TIM1_CC_IRQHandleri saw in AN that if DMA is enabled  the CC1IF is set, so i have to see  TIM1_CC_IRQHandler? 

Hi community,I'm having a STM32F407VET6 PCB board where VBAT is connected to a 10 uF decoupling capacitor [Instead of recommended 100 nF capacitor].in order to achieve some backup time when both the coin cell and 3.3V are not connected.My RTC is working fine when a coin-cell or 3.3V supply is available in VBAT. But when I remove the coin cell while performing a power cycle, I'm facing some issues, as listed below.[Note: RTC is initialized properly with the time 2023-11-07T08:31:20Z [YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ]][Note: Coin cell is removed from the board] CasePower cycle durationVoltage level in VBAT Decoupling Capacitor

 In the context of functional safety application, we are wondering the probability of a status bit failure on a STM32H753.A low-level software is frequently polling on status bits of peripherals. If this peripheral encounter a failure this is obviously an issue. Even if there are solutions to this issue (watchdog for example) we'd like to assess the probability of such failures.Are there any studies regarding the probability of a peripheral failure on STM32 (due to cosmic ray, bitshift or bit stuck in a register, whatever) ?

Hey STMcommunity, I am trying to implement a Modbus protocol, however the DR register of the USART i am using does not output the correct numbers.    I am sending the following message to the MCU "11 03 00 04 00 04 07 58" (hex numbers) but get the following response "82 00 F8 F5 E3 FE FF E0 D7" (Hex numbers). The returning message should be 13 bytes big which are present in the buffer just before sending. (keep in mind the values in the picture are decimals)   However the first value which should be 0x11 in the DR register is actually 0x58

Greetings, Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place.  Maybe someone can point to the correct forum for me.Problem: USB HID 04 Joystick intermittently sends incorrect 12-bit analog data.Micro: STM32F103R8T6Details: A 1/2 Hz signal applied to analog inputs that vacillates above below an 8-bit boundary (i.e., 2047 to 2048) I sometimes get a value of 1792 or 2303 decimal sent.  It appears as if the upper 4 bits of the 12-bit word is out of sync with the lower 8 bits and subsequently sends 0x700 instead of 0x800 or 0x8FF instead of 0x7FF.The problem was first discovered using a Microchip 8-Bit microcontroller.  No one could solve the puzzle, se we went with an NXP MK20DX256VLH7 32-bit processor and the problem went away.  NXP has a 1-year lead time, so we switched to ST Micro.  Now the problem has returned with the F103 part.To eliminate the possibility of data corruption of the USB structure we put in a

Hello to everyone,I have encountered a problem trying to work with ADC data on STM32H743 chip. When I read VREFINT value (19th ADC input channel) I always see 0xFFFF. Data on other channels look slightly more adequate (at least they are changed depending on the voltage applied to corresponding inputs). TEMP channel also gives a strange value after recalculations (about 900 degrees). I've got two identical boards and each board gives the same result. The channels are enabled. I tried to read the channels directly in polling mode as well as using DMA, but always got 0xFFFF from VREFINT channel.Some time ago I worked with another board with STM32H743 and everything was OK there with VREFINT. I have never run into such a problem with other STM32 chips I worked with.I checked VDDA, Vref+ and VSSA lines, they seem to be good and the pins are soldered to this lines without any defects.Has anybody meet this situation before? I really appreciate your help.O

I just wanted to configure the board. I never thought, that i would need more than 10 minutes at the first function (3 pins - timer for hall sensors). It takes quite a bit of investigation to figure out those connections. I just want to ask if i am right, and if there are some tips (tutorials) that can help me. This is the second STM32 i am going to set up for a (for me) bigger project. I had some issue here finding "tim_ti1f_ed", but i found "tim_ti1_ed", and after some more looking the actual place in the bigger diagram. Is this right? Are there any tables with those "tim_ti1f_ed" names, that could help and make it easy to remember?

In some newer STM32 documents, such as ES0418, text is rendered in various tints of blue. This results in decreased readability and problems when printing.Can ST please constrain fancy color schemes to marketing material, and use conservative black-on-white in the technical documents.Please do communicate this across management levels who may not be aware of real users' needs.Thanks,Jan WaclawekPS.
