Greetings,We are adding an OTA procedure to our firmware that depends on a small loader at the start of flash which is responsible for programming the main application written to program flash at a higher address.  The procedure works fine as it is, except that we are not finding it possible to use the Fast Programming feature.According to the RM, before FSTPG programming can be used, the device must be mass erased.  Yet, CPU1 is not permitted to perform this operation.  We suspect that it may be possible to execute a mass erase from the C2 coprocessor, which could be acceptable, however, we don't want to lose the loader.  The WRP bits in the option bytes would protect the loader...except that the documentation explains that setting WRP precludes any mass erase.So, our question is this.  Is there a way we can use FastProgramming from the user application code to improve the speed of programming our firmware?FWIW, we checked the Cu

When using F429 to complish the function of Ethernet, a confused phenomenon appears，message sending and message receiving at the same time, the received message could not trigger receiving interrupt，seems lost. Sending message 462 and receiving message 461 at the same time，461 lost   Sending and Receiving FIFO of ETH is independent, but DMA and Bus is shared, dose it has relationship of the phenomenon above， or there is method to solve it.Thank you for your advise

I use in my project stm32g030f6p6 to communicate with ADXL345 by 4-wire SPI. I have no problem with transmition, yet with reading I run into serious problem, that doesn't mentioned in Errata.My SPI configuraton is CPOL 1, CPHA 1, speed 1MHz. I use Logic-U analizer and ADXL345 for sure respond right, but I receive wrong data, usualy from 1 to 2 bytes.Only one solution is while reading procedure before togling NSS pin twice read SPI_DR in tthat case RX FiFo is cleared and I receive right data.I can't understand why I should have done it even once, why it isn't mentioned in Errata.I also tried to set RXONLY bit right after sending register address and clear it after receiving last byte, but permantely SPI send extra byte it's register address with cleared 7th bit, nor clearing SPE bit neither reading DR doesn't help.Thus, I wonder what I did wrang If I did of course, and what the solution ST offer. Here it's part of m

Hi, I have the following questions about QSPI in STM32F767:1.  Is it possible to configure the board as QSPI Slave? I could not find any option in the CubeMX Tool to choose between master and slave. 2. Is the QSPI peripheral of this board strictly limited to interfacing only QSPI flash devices? In other words, is it possible to interface a QSPI slave which is not a flash device?3. Is it possible to configure the normal SPI peripheral to work as QSPI?   I referred the below link, which states that QSPI is strictly master-driven. Hi, I am working on SPI to communicate with the AD9959 from analog device, I'm analyzing the MOSI and MISO signal with probes on an oscilloscope and can see that  I can successfully write and read from the device, the thing is that HAL_SPI_Receive() send back the received buffer pRxData with the value 0 instead of the value from the MISO line, is there a reason for that ? I'm pretty sure I respect the specification of the spi communication for the device. In my case i set it on spi single-bit 3 wire mode to use MOSI and MISO lines, and on my spi parameters, I'm in spi mode 0 as it should by looking at the datasheet. I dragged the datasheet below for those who are interested with the code of my read function. The variable which is suppose to hold the value returned by the slave (AD9959) in the MISO  line (receivdata) is always 0 but the MISO line returned the value that have been written to the register. Thank you for your time.

Hi All,I have a 407 connected to an FPGA using the FSMC interface.When I compile my device configuration from ST Cube, the WaitSignalPolarity value in the MX_FSMC_Init routine is always set to: FSMC_WAIT_SIGNAL_POLARITY_LOW. On my system I need this setting to be FSMC_WAIT_SIGNAL_POLARITY_HIGH, but cannot find a way of setting this value through CubeMX.Has anyone else found this issue or know how to fix it? Its getting a real pain having to manually update the source code before recompiling.Kind Regards,

This question is not very specific. It is quite open ended and is probably best posed to those at FreeRTOS support but I will ask here first as your support is excellent.Having spent months developing a Project that is optimized to the best of my ability. no blocking calls, interrupts where appropriate (around 10 isrs) that does not use FreeRTOS + given my knowledge of FreeRTOS being minimal.How should I go about merging 1 RTOS task that itself relies on other tasks/queues?This primary RTOS task is 'tasked' with capturing a data stream using lwip>UDP Server>Wifi>SDIO. This stream needs to be polled/dequeued in the main loop.  (My basic understanding of FreeRTOS suggests this will be via FreeRTOS messaging, if indeed main loop needs to be converted into a FreeRTOS task)So my question mainly concerns whether the main loop be converted into a FreeRTOS task and all underlying isrs managed via appropriate Mutexes/Semaphores?

This is a portion of my product code, but i got some problem. When an external interrupt occurs i want to start a timer and increment one variable and when timer reaches 30 seconds i want to display the variable via UART. I have designed a buck converter that uses the MCU to regulate its output voltage.I am using one pin for the voltage feedback that will be used to regulate the output.  However, because it has to read this pin very quickly, the sample period has been set to 2.5 clock cycles and thus the effective resolution is not very good (fine for control though).  I see that I can assign multiple ADC channels to a single pin.If I assign two ADC channels to the same pin, can I use one of the ADCs to read the voltage on the pin with much more precision at the same time the alternate ADC is being used to regulate the voltage without effecting control?

I'm using an STPM33 digital signal processor driven by SPI using an STM32G071KBUX microcontroller. Comunication apparently seems to be ok but if I try to enable the only UART/SPI read error interrupt (into US_REG3 register) using the INT1 and INT2 as detection lines I see the following situation:1) the INT1/2 lines go high but reading the flag bit 26 UART/SPI read address error it is 0, so an interrupt is serviced but no resulting flag is activated. WHY?Different situation for other interrupts: (bit 11) UART/SPI write error > (bit 27) flag: UART/SPI write address error(bit 12) SPI CRC error > (bit 28) flag: SPI CRC error(bit 13)

Is it okay to skip it with below setup? Adding this cap will need redesign and we want to utilize the same boards designed for L431. Thank you!

I’m having some trouble related to using the FMC to interface with a LCD. We are using NE1 as chip select, LCD register select is A0, 16 bits of data.  When I’m scoping the signals, I’m seeing the A0 go high during 16 bit writes to 0x60000000 (command).  I only expect that to happen when trying to read/write at 0x60000002 (data).  I’ve attached a capture of this.  For the second byte, A0 is a 1, which makes sense for a normal memory address, but I was expecting A0 to be treated differently by the FMC since it is identified as the register select?I’ve seen other code examples where the RS used is a higher bit (ex. A18), which wouldn’t have this same problem…so I’m concerned that it isn’t possible to use A0 as the RS?This also ties into configuring the MPU correctly.  I've read up on the issues other people have had with multiple writes because of the FMC memory is configured as "normal" instead of "device" type.  But settin

Hello,The STM32U585 Reference Manual say these chips have one AES and one SAES peripheral. In turn each of these have an "AES core algorithm (AEA)" component. I expect that to mean that there are two physically independent AEA's on the chip. Is that correct?Thanks

Hello,I am trying to implement the DFU protocol in an Android app. I am following AN3156.I am using UsbDeviceConnection class for the control transfer in android. I am able to write to the memory to any address using the routines described in AN3156 (using command DFU_DNLOAD).I am NOT able to read from memory from a specific address using command DFU_UPLOAD. I am only able to read from the very first address of flash memory, whose pointer is by default set to it (0x08000000). For some reason, when running the setAddressPointer routine, the controlTransfer method then returns -1 (USB communication fails). I'm running an STM32L452RCTX uC, and I'm trying to implement a 2.5Vref+ ADC.Things weren't looking quite right on the pins I intend to implement, so for now I'm driving a floating TP with a power supply so I can directly test input vs output.When driving the pin to ground, the output is around 2000 (I've seen it in the 198X through 200X range).When increasing the voltage, I reach the full 4095 at 2.35V, which I feel is reasonably close to my measured 2.482 reference for my application.I've scoured everywhere I can think of, and I can't seem to find any information on why this might happen.  The behavior is almost as if the Vref- is somewhere near -2.5V, but I have that pin (confirmed through measurement) tied to ground. As for circuitry, I have 3.3V running through a 470 ohm resistor to the top of a 2.5V zener (LM4040), across two caps to ground (2.2uF and 0.1uF), and through a series 0 ohm resistor into the Vref+ pin.  The Vr

Hello experts,I have a requirement to use M4 to write to flash partitions under Zephyr OS. Currently Flash controller driver doesn't support M4. So I have a pull request being reviewed here https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/pull/65250What I have observed is that flash write is really slow taking about 6 minutes to erase and write 256KiB partition. I have sample application for this as part of the PR.  I have seen erase happens fast, but read/write is slow, where as on M7 it is pretty fast about 3 seconds. I have discussed this in the zephyr PR discussion but so far no one could answer if it is expected or not. I believe ART Accelerator is present in the SoC used in this board. Another observation is that internally we are using STM32H755 for our work and we don't see the same behavior. On this SoC, flash write is as fast as in M7
