Has the RT_preempt Patch been tested with OpenSTLinux on a STM32MP1 device? Are there any instructions on how to apply it?

Hi,I am using the STM32MP157F-DK2 MPU for a Linux project. Exactly, I am interested in Linux-RT. Browsing in the Internet, it is said that only is necessary applying a patch in the kernel. The patch file uses the command "git diff", but is not installed in the kernel.My goal is install it, however, "apt" is not either installed, so I have to make the install with "dpkg" - something completely caotic.HELP! Is there any way to install "apt" or "yum"? If not, how can I install "git" command so that applying the patch?Thanks,Oscar

Hi all, I'm trying to customize the device tree of the stm board, but I'm stuck early on. Hello ST Teams!I'd like to know if someone have ever tried to get 1920*1080*30fps with the configuration above (STM32MP157C-EV1 and MB1379 board). We'd like to achieve this performance, OV5640 datasheet camera says "ok for me"v4l2 listing capabilities says "ok for me" :               Size: Discrete 1920x1080                       Interval: Discrete 0.067s (15.000 fps)                       Interval: Discrete 0.033s (30.000 fps)But if we try with dev board (OSD32BRK) and flying wires with camera(OV5640), fps is limited to 13fps.My question is: Is it possible to achieve 30fps in this configuration?we will reproduce schematics of (STM32MP157C-EV1 and MB1379 board) camera part(dcmi + ext cl

Hello,   We are upgrading from BSP 2.1.0 to 3.0.0. With BSP 2.1.0 we had implemented a Secure Boot mechanism as described here, i.e. both TF-A and u-boot were signed with the STM32 Signing Tool and had a stm32 header added.   Now with BSP 3.0.0 we see that u-boot is instead encapsulated in a FIP binary which is loaded by TF-A.   The problem with this is that this seems to increase boot time by about 1 second (measured with grabserial). I want to populate the distribution to an SD-card and mount it in STM32MP157A-DK1 according to this link: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32CubeProgrammer#How_to_populate_a_microSD_card_inserted_in_a_Linux_host_PCMy host PC is a virtual machine and it seems like there is a problem with STM32CubeProgrammer reconnecting to the device (see uploaded image). I have changed the USB settings on my virtual machine to automatically attach the device to it. This works fine when I press the reset button on STM32MP157A-DK1, it unmounts and mounts directly to the virtual machine again.How can I solve the reconnecting problem with STM32CubeProgrammer? Is there another way to populate an SD card by copying files from the deploy folder in the built distribution folder?

I created a project using CUBEIDE for STM32MP157C-DK2 and set all peripherals to initialize. I enabled FreeRTOS and then started porting over the example code in in the Projects folder for the OpenAMP_FreeRTOS_echo application. It is all compiling OK but the code is not executing correctly. We use the STM32MP157CA and the STM32CubeIDE and let the code generator generate a confiuration with the required modules. In our case the SPI1 on the pins (PZ0,PZ1,PZ2). The generated functions provide the initializations for the SPI1. Unfortunately the SPI1 does not work for us in normal operation mode. If we call the HAL_SPI_Transmit(...) function after the initialization we get a SPI timeout. On the oscilloscope we see no clock on the spi clock line. We also noticed that when we use the engineering mode for the M4 the SPI1 works. If we change the SPI to the SPI5 (also generated with the code generator) everything works in normal operation mode and in engineering mode. How can we use the SPI1 in normal operation mode on the M4?

Hello, my EVB is based on STM32MP151A SoC. The situation we are facing is that sometimes, the FSBL gets stuck and we would like to recover from it. i.e. reflash some Known Good FSBL.   As the FSBL in that situation is kinda functional, the device will not fallback to boot from Serial. On the other hand, as the FSBL is itself stuck, any SW based solution to do so is irrelevant. Ideally, we need some external mean to force a serial boot, either from the STCube programmer, or the JTAG, or the like.   As this seems like a very likely problem to appear during dev, there must be some classical solution to it, unfortunately, i couldn't find out a way from all the docs I could read.   Is that known to anybody ? While learning how eMMC partitioning works, I issued a mmc create gp command from Linux and since then I cannot flash a new image on a EV1 board. The error message I get is:Message from Embedded Flash Loader : ssbl (0x6): invalid address 0x80000 (min=0x400000)I can boot using the sdcard and access eMMC from there, I need to know how to restore eMMC so it will accept flashing commands.I could recreate partitions using the gpt command on u-boot and "dd" ext4 fs images to the partitions. The boot process start on the eMMC but since UUIDs don't match what is in the image, it does not finish booting. Which leads back to cube programmer and being unable to flash a new linux image.My question is essentially how to put eMMC back in a state I can flash it.Regards.

Hello everyone, i want to onfigure my stm machine on yocto using the meta-st layer:i want to make two root partitions on the sd card (since i'm using the stm32mp157c-dk2)the root partitions i need to integrate rauc updater in my machine.since i installed rauc the generated st-image-weston won't boot anymore. And i think it's because of the root partitions. (rauc uses two partitions to installl an update on the first one and boot from the second one).Please help me. Thank you

Hello,I'm trying to define some GPIOs as simple input/output for STM32MP157. I'm using the STM32CubeMX tool, but I can't find where to assign the GPIOs to A7 or M4. In the pinout view, I correctly set them as input/output but when I generate the code, I don't find their definition, nor in the device tree .dts, neither in the m4 code (only clock enable is present).Thanks

Hello,I am going through building the base Android Distro for use in the STM32MP1 Discovery board, when I go to call the disco i.e. lunch aosp_disco-eng I get the error listed in the question.When I call lunch aosp_eval-eng then I get no error and we begin building. I'm a newbie with embedded topics, for educational purposes I'm trying to set up my ST32MP157C-DK2 using Buildroot.Using menuconfig I pointed Kernel, TF-A and U-boot to the latest label releases of ST forked repos. But it did not work because it asked for FIP image. I enabled FIP image using menuconfig, but building fails. After investigating a bit, I realized Buildroot is missing a value for the variable BL33_CFG, which from some documentation I understand it should be set to the U-Boot dtb.Looking at the code and makefiles I couldn’t find a properly supported pattern for this, so I have made few changes: Buildroot to copy u-boot.dtb to the output folder, and set from menuconfig an additional variable for ARM_TRUSTED_FIRMARE: BL33_CFG=$(BINARIES_DIR)/u-boot.dtb.and also defined BR2_TARGET_ARM_TRUSTED_FIRMWARE_UBOOT_BL33_IMAGE=�?u-boot-nodtb.bin�?
