Previous kernel versions had support for the STM32MP1 internal temp sensor. See:stm32mp1-adc-temp definition in stm32mp157c device treeDT bindings documentationApparently this has been removed in later kernels. Isn't this supported anymore ?Thanks,Guillermo

Hello STM Community,I am following the workshop STM32Cube.AI workshop with my STM32MP157C-EV1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8AAr84z27s&list=PLnMKNibPkDnEOUdTXlDH7yWN6qyxXPsEb&index=9&t=8m15s When I analyze the model I get the error "Required Ram or Flash size for asc is bigger than available Ram or Flash�? (where >asc< is the name of my model), with resources required for the model: “Flash occupation: 15.90 KiB�? and “RAM: 20.64 KiB (128.00 KiB present)�?. So the RAM is not the problem. I get the feeling, that it has no allocated Flash. How do I declare which Flash storage to use? In the advanced settings, I can set “use external Flash�?, but I do not get how to use it and if I have to use it. Is there any good tutorial?I tried different Networks, like the HAR-CNN-Keras from the 'getting started', but that is an even bigger Network.Tried the STM32MP157C-EV1 in engineering boot mode (B 0 0 1) and boot from microsd (B 1 0 1)Used Software: 1.Windows 10 using STM32Cube

Hello all,   I managed to enter the DFU mode by rebooting the SoC from the command line after setting the proper tamper register to get the Uboot to select my desired USB boot mode. After flashing the new image with the STM32CubeProgrammer I would like to be able to reboot the SoC again without having to do press physically the reset button or have to type the reset command inthe Uboot with a STLink console.   I see in the wiki that the proper configuration of the tsv file should be able to trigger a RESET PhaseID (0xFF) but I have no clue on how to do it. I entered the line "-      0xFF   reset  Binary none   0x0    arm-trusted-firmware/tf-a-stm32mp157c-demo-logic-analyser-mx-serialboot.stm32" at the end of my tsv file but it does not do the trick. By checking the stm32prog.c source code it seems that that PhaseID is unusable and will only be triggered in case of an error ocurring

I got my STM32MP157A-DK1 load STM32MP15-Ecosystem-v2.1.0/Starter-PackageUsing iPerf3 for UDP speed test, but only achieved around 345Mbps.Made sure the cable, labtop NIC, switch are compatible with Gigabit. I'm trying to use PA10 to drive a simple LED (custom board), but the I/O doesn't switch at all.PA10 is not used in any of the device trees. gpioinfo gpiochip0reports the I/O as "unused" and "output", but switching the I/O with gpioset gpiochip0 10=1doesn't work. The voltage on the pin stays at 1.7V.PA10 can also function as OTG_FS_ID or OTG_HS_ID, so maybe this causes problems? I do not use USB in my kernel device tree.

I'm working on project that is including ADC, timers and virtual UART. I'm working on STM32MP157C-DK2 board. So I started from example OpenAMP_FreeRTOS_echo from CubeMP1 software package v1.2.0. I'm using CubeIDE v1.4.0. When I reboot STM32MP1 and debug for the first time after reboot, and place breakpoint into HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback function in which HAL_IncTick is called, everything is fine and the program is stopping here. Problem is that when I debug for the second time (and software on M4 is stopped before 2nd debug) program is not stopping on breakpoint and the HAL tick is not getting incremented. The code is not being modified, it is the same as in examples. On boot I choose the device tree number 3 which is used for M4 examples. Question is why is this happening and do I need to reboot the board every time I want to debug?Thanks in advance,Nenad

I am working on developing firmware to run on the M4 coprocessor and I have been trying to do some basic testing using my own code and the OpenAMP_TTY_Echo example. I am debugging on an stm32mp157c-dk1 and I am using STM32CubeIDE. This issue is also occurring on a dk2. I noticed that it freezes after the function call MX_OPENAMP_Init(RPMSG_REMOTE,NULL);Here is the call stack:  My issue appears to be identical to this issue posted a while back. I don't have the "PeriphCommonClock_Config" function mentioned and I am unable to remove rsc_table.c as openamp.c depends on it. Additionally the project by default includes STM32MP157CXX in the preprocessor directives, so I am unsure of what else I can do to alleviate this issue. Is it an issue that I am in engineering boot mode? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I am building uboot spl for DDR testing of a custom board based on the STM32MP157FAD1 MPU. The design uses I2C6 to communicate with the PMIC. The following error occurs: "stm32mp1_clk_get_id: clk id 142 not found". Hello,I have a custom board with an eMMC on it and with no SD card available. In the U-Boot device tree I have the following line (On sdmmc2 is my eMMC):aliases{ mmc0 = &sdmmc2; };The U-Boot seems to partly have a problem with it. ​Commands like "mmc write" or "mmc info" use the MMC Interface 0 - they set "curr_device" to 0 by default (unless I use "mmc dev 1"). And this is not a problem.However, the MMC environment works with MMC interface 1, which leads to failures. What I find the most weird is the following function in the mmc.c file:static int env_mmc_save(void) { ALLOC_CACHE_ALIGN_BUFFER(env_t, env_new, 1); int dev = mmc_get_env_dev(); ... }The variable dev in the line 4 is always 1, I guess since the eMMC is set as boot instance 1.To sum up: The MMC functions work by default with mmc 0, the env MMC works by defalt with mmc 1.PS: I could maybe use the MMC 1 and use the 'mmc dev 1' at the beginning, but the STMCubeProgrammer cannot flash the devce as it comes with an error

Hi,i have a question regarding to the IPCC Communication and the OPENAMP_check_for_message(); function. For example iam sending data from A7 to the M4. So the A7 will cause an RXO Interrupt at the M4. Now my Question ist when this Interrupts is cleared with the TXF Interrupt. Is it straight cleared when the RXO Interrupt occured and the data will only put to a Queue and the Queue of Data is read out via the OPENAMP_check_for_message() Function. Or is it like this that the A7 cant Send Data anymore as long the OPENAMP_check_for_message() didnt get a call, because this Function will trigger the TXF Interrupt. From my understanding it would be more efficient when the Interrupt is cleared straight and the data is enqueued in a Queue.

Hello I have a question concerning how to build a customized image.I followed this link first to get a general IdeaAfter that, I found that if I need to customize my Kernel and choose my packages (Customer apps) I can follow these links: Customer App and Kernel config1- Should I customize before building my image using "bitbake <image>" or after (I suppose before but just asking) Just to be clear I will give some examples:Customer app will be used to add packages that may not be present Kernel configurations: To activate modules and features for example security, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features.2- In which file do I need to be in order to apply the modifications that I want in my final image that I will flash.Best regards

My goal is to add i2c5 in the dts for userspace access however it is not visible at /sys/bus/i2c/devices. My steps are as follows:1) bitbake virtual/kernel -c devshell2) in new shell, modify the arch/arm/boot/dts/stm32mp157a-dk1.dts3) in new shell, make dtbs or make stm32mp157a-dk1.dtb, and close the new shell4) in original shell, bitbake virtual/kernel -f -c compile and bitbake virtual/kernel -f -c compile5) build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/deploy/images/stm32mp1/scripts/create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh ../flashlayout_st-image-weston/trusted/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157a-dk1-trusted.tsv and create the .raw for dd to the sdcardHowever, with above steps seems the updated dtb file is not populated to the sdcard image. Am I missing some steps?

Hello,will there be updates to the gcnano-binaries?The latest version (6.4.3) seems to be broken.When trying to start the cog browser (wpewebkit based) it crashes on eglCreateWaylandBufferFromImageWL.After reverting to gcnano 6.4.1 it is working again. Also RDP screen-share is broken in weston with gcnano version 6.4.3 but working with 6.4.1.

I've attempted to build my own u-boot image based on the trusted defconfig and a dk1 device tree, i.e.$ make stm32mp15_basic_defconfig $ make DEVICE_TREE=stm32mp157a-dk1 allThe build worked successfully, however when I attempted to use the `u-boot.stm32` image it failed to flash/boot. Hello,I'd like to drive a DSI panel using STM32MP157AAC Rev.Z.I have no problem with the panel in the u-boot and everything is ok [i can see the u-boot splash screen].So the hardware on both sides [board and panel] is ok, the panel init sequence, dts config, dsi, ltdc, bridge config and drivers are ok,....but after kernel start, the panel is not working any more:1- I can confirm the initial sequence works fine,2- Even, i can read the internal register of panel in LP mode in kernel boot time.3- drm, bridge, panel connection to ltdc, cma memory allocation are ok, [i add a lot of debuging print], there is no error from any modules and everything seems ok.4- I can confirm pll is ok, The pll and clock config is fully similar to u-boot configs.***But in the DSI video mode, the panel is not showing anything.[Using oscilloscope]: I can see the lanes signal in DSI video mode of u-boot but after entering DSI videos mode in kernel there is no activity in lanes,At this point I am confused, Re
