STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

I got this error below.STM32CubeMX Launcher V1.0.4.0Copyright (C) 2015 ARM Ltd and ARM Germany GmbH. All rights reserved.*** Error: STM32CubeMX could not be found !CubeMXLauncher termiates with error code 3Enter any key to close.I am using Keil Uvision 5 (MDK526) and latest version of CubeMx. I tried to find the solution for hours, but I couldn't find it. I have also fully implemented the suggestions in this article below, but each time the launcher was not found CubeMx. Then I looked at the list of installed programs of my coumputer with Windows Powershell and noticed that CubeMx was not on the InstalledList. And CubeMx was also not in Add/Remove menu. I haven't found it in Regedit. I guess the launcher can't run for this reason. Because it couldn't find CubeMx. So is there a way to solve this problem? Additionally, after installation, CubeMX icon is not displayed on my desktop and CubeMx is not available from the Program menu. ioc files are not displayed with a cube icon. T

Hi,I want to connect my STM32H753ZI Nucleo board to Simulink. I have generated the CubeMx file to blink a simple LED. At first, I got some errors for missing header files. I added them manually. I put all my pins in the program like this:When I configure all the pins and generate the code, not all the configured pins appear in the gpio.c file on stm32cubeIDE; for example, the UART RX and TX pins do not appear in stm32cubeIDE.Thank you so much.

I started using the new "User Actions" feature, and it seems that there's an issue with the function that allows running a script after code generation. I managed to make the feature work without any problems when the "Window -> Outputs" option is checked. However, when it's unchecked, CubeMx completely freezes. In such cases, you have to terminate its process through the task manager, which is not desirable.For information, I use ".bat" file. CubeMx version 6.9.2

My MX Repository has grown to more than 40 GB which is not exactly fun on the SSD of my MacBook. So I was wondering what made it so big.There seem to be all the zip files of all installed firmware packages. Does CubeMX/CubeIDE ever use them again?And what about the older revisions of the firmware packages? Is it safe to remove them?

It seems STM32CubeMX has a bug related to the STM32H5's HMI BSP component. If you do not wish to use this BSP component and want to configure the affected pins manually (like with other boards that do not have this HMI BSP component), the project will not properly reload the saved settings. Steps to reproduce:1. Start a new STM32H5 project in STM32CubeMX (v6.10.0)- Specify board: NUCLEO-H563ZI- Select: "without TrustZone actived"- Unselect: "Human Machine Interface"2. Change the configuration of one of the pins related to the LEDs, (Blue) Push Button, or ST-LINK UART- The related pins are:- PB0 (LD1, Green)- PF4 (LD2, Yellow)- PG4 (LD3, Red)- PC13 (Button)- PD9 (UART RX, for STLINK VCP). It's also worth noting the label applied is "VCP_TX" here, which is confusing as it does not match the function of the pin (I think someone wanted to match net-names instead of labelling it with the pin's function).- PD8 (UART TX, for STLINK VCP) Same as above this is labelled as "VCP_RX" and

Hi everybody,I installed the last version of STM32Cube IDE (1.2.0) on two different computers, one is win7 an dthe second one is win10. When i strictly follow the tutorial to create a working project, I can see in both situations that the src folder is not created after STM32CubeMx perspective has been invoked. I cannot find any solution on the net, any solution or suggestion will be more than welcome. I must add that  I can see a mx.scratch file is temporarly created too. I think that an erro log is created but I do not know hwere it is stored. Thanks,ol.

Hi,I am trying to configure multiplexed OCTO SPI for the above MCU.Only Chip Select Port 1 NCS comes up as an alterantive for OCTOSPI1, and for OCTOSPI2 the Chip Select Port is is disabled, I would have expected Port 2 NCS to come up here... Is this a bug or am I missing something?    

Hello,i'm trying to set up a new project with CAN in Interrupt mode. Therefor i generate a project with stm32cubemx and enabled the interrupt 0 for fdcan1 and also in the NVIC-settings the Interrupt is enabled:In polling mode, i can receive Frames and got no problems. When i try the to use the NVIC, the ISR-Adress is wrong an it don't jump to the generated "FDCAN1_IT0_IRQHandler". The Controller jumps to an undefined Adress: In the startup_stm32l553cetx.s the spelling of the ISR is correct.I've tried to get some more informations about the vector table. The ISR for fdcan_it0 should be in 0xbf900dc, the function of NVIC_GetVector gives me the Adress 0xbf97755.Do you have any idea for a solution?Greetings

After updating STM32Cube IDE and Cube MX I have ran to a problem of not being able to enable certain middlewares, in this case LoraWan. I did not have this problem before updating. I was wondering if there is a new process in enabling this middleware? When looking at 'manage software packs' in mxcube, the pack that pertains to the chip I am using is shown as installed and contains lorawan. But the enable button of the lorawan middleware is unelectable. Any suggestions?

I am adding ethernet connectivity to an existing STM32H743 project and am using the STM32CubeIDE V1.9.0 / STM32CubeMX V6.5.0 and H7 firmware FW V1.10.0. I have followed the guides on setting up the various memory settings and have had success getting a TCP echoserver working. However, I need to modify the responses from the echoserver and as soon as I start to add my code to run the necessary logic to determine the responses, I get memory related problems, causing either a mem_handler fault or failing an ASSERT. The failure I am currently getting is an ASSERT that outputs: Assertion "pc->custom_free_function != NULL" failed at line 767 in ../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/core/pbuf.c. I have had a look at where the pbufs are being allocated and they appear to be in the RAM_D1 area. Is this correct and if so, any ideas what is causing this problem? Many thanks.

Hello,I use STM32CubeMX in a shared project and different developers use different tools to work with its output. So e. g. I want code generation with a makefile output while others use the STM32CubeIDE.Currently every time when I click "generate code" the project is saved and its .ioc file is overwritten. This is annoying since after I push commits, the next person has to change it again (and adding it to the .gitignore would mean I have to remember including it again when I make actually meaningful changes in the project file). Code generation is not needed a lot after everything has been set up, but nonetheless this is annoying since quickly trying out some stuff without remembering to revert everything manually is not possible. How do I turn this off? I only want to save the project when I explicitly ask CubeMX to do so.

WHILE PROGRAMMING STM32F407 "DEV_TARGET_RESET_ERR'' ERROR IS REFLECTING

STM32CubeMX release 6.9.0 contained support for processing before and after code generation. The documentation does not appear to be updated to describe how this works.What kind of file and scripting is expected for this feature?

CubeMX version 6.10.0Chip is STM32H563IIKxFirmware package is STM32Cube FW_H5 v1.1.1 (which is the latest shown in the software packages manager).Neither USB_DEVICE nor USB_HOST is listed in middlewares:As can be seen, my project involves FreeRTOS which eliminates THREADX and USBX as options.All the information I can find online about creating a USB CDC (Virtual COM Port) implementation involves configuration using USB_DEVICE middleware.  What is the correct path now, since USB_DEVICE is not present?  Switching to THREADX is not a feasible option. 

I want to use STM32U5 ADF in LPBAM Mode, I can't see the ADF option in the CUBE MX LPBAM design configuration. I want to use ADF in stop 2 mode with LPDMA and SRAM4 I have the ready code for ADF and LPDMA I wish to operate them in LPBAM Mode. 

HelloI've seen tons of posts about this, I'm hoping I'm just missing something simple, I would really love to get this working. STM32H723ZG, DMA TX works, I can send a sine wave fine but the RX buffer never changes and is never filled. I've put the RX and TX buffers in D2RAM but this seems to make no difference. DMA half and complete callbacks trigger fine, everything else seems to be running right the RX just wont fill. I2S = 96khz, 32bit on a 32bit frame, DMA= half word, circular  __attribute__ ((section(".rxBuffer"), used)) __attribute__ (()) uint16_t rxBuf[8];__attribute__ ((section(".txBuffer"), used)) __attribute__ (()) uint16_t txBuf[8];  HAL_I2SEx_TransmitReceive_DMA (&hi2s2, txBuf, rxBuf, 4);  //in flash file.buffers(NOLOAD) :{. = ALIGN(4);. = ABSOLUTE (0x30000000);*(.rxBuffer). = ABSOLUTE (0x30000040);*(.txBuffer)} >RAM_D2 

We are using custom board with STM32H735. We were debugging the same issue as this one. In the reference manual RM0468, we discovered this note:I think this means that even when not using calibration unit, FDCAN kernel clock must be <= than APB1 peripheral clock. My question is why does CubeMX Clock Configuration not check this requirement? Would you consider adding this check?

I want to consult you a problem about generating code for 'SysTick clock source'.Let us look at the first picture from documentation PM0215  page 63, there introduces the function of 'SysTick control and status register', and says that the 'CLOCKSOURCE' bit(bit 2) is to select the clock source for SysTick.Then let us look at the second screenshot from STM32CubeMX-6.1.2, the red highlight rectangle part is used to let us configure which clock source to be used for SysTick, HCLK(HCLK/1) or HCLK/8.Combine the above two picture, I think if we choose to use HCLK(HCLK/1) for SysTick, then the 'CLOCKSOURCE' bit from 'SysTick control and status register' will be set to 1, and if we choose to use HCLK/8 for SysTick, then the 'CLOCKSOURCE' bit from 'SysTick control and status register' will be set to 0.If my understanding is correct, then the function of STM32CubeMX to produce code for the 'CLOCKSOURCE' bit might be wrong. Because whether I choose HCLK

I use with CubeMx to generate FreeRTOS in stm32hf, and i would like to upgrade to version newer than FreeRTOS 10.3.1 (because security issues in this version) so, i took manually the newer FreeRTOS files(10.5.1) and replaced them instead what that CubeMX generated, except from FreeRTOSconfig.h file, its work well.the questions is,does it's enough for upgrading of new version(even though, FreeRTOSconfig.h file that cubeMX generated in older version ,was left)? if there is any expected of releasing new ver of FreeRTOS in CubeMX? there is any reason that CubeMX not upgraded from 10.3.1 ver, til now(there is any issue in newer versions than 10.3.1)?.thanks. thanks.
