I am trying to make two STM32F4 with HAL communicate through SPI Simplex mode by changing who is the master node when it's ready to send a message. Hello everyone,I am facing problem using OTA updates with Bluenrg2 with OTA Service Manager and Bluenrg GUI v4.0.0. I am using customs PCBs with Bluenrg2, Atollic TrueSTUDIO for STM32 9.3.0, BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.1 SDK and Bluenrg GUI v4.0.0. I flashed one board with Service Manager + Sensor Demo applications. It works OK, I can see the device advertising OTA Service Manager with NRF Connect Android application.I flashed second board with DTM_UART project and I can establish connection with Bluenrg GUI. BUT when I open the COM port I received message "Old DTM fw detected. Update DTM fw.", and then I go to Tools->Stack Updater choose BlueNRG GUI 4.0.0\Firmware\BlueNRG2\DTM\DTM_UART_NOUPDATER.bin and update goes OK. Then again the same message for old firmware appears. And the versions are: Bluenrg2-HW v1.0, Bluenrg2-FW v2.1c-DTM UART v3.2.0, Motherboard FW v1.6. Versions are same for both firmwares that I upload. Then I go to Tools-> OTA Bootloader and ciick Search for Devices button

I upload application binary(azure.sfb) using SBSFU bootloader through YMODEM.It works fine though, how can I debug the application binary??

I noticed a peculiar issue regarding FreeRTOS and ST Link. If you flash the BLE Beacon FreeRTOS example into the development board, ST Link cannot connect or event detect the BlueNRG target. This happens both with BlueNRG-X Flasher Utility and in Keil uVision. Only way to regain connection is to flash non-FreeRTOS example using BlueNRG-2 Navigator.If I build and start a debug session with a FreeRTOS project, the target is flashed correctly, but almost immediately when entering main the connection is lost. This happens even if all FreeRTOS calls are removed.In the attachments you can find log file where I flashed a FreeRTOS binary into the development board two times a row. The first flash is successful, but there is immediately a failure when ST Link tries to disconnect from the target. The next flashing fails immediately.Any idea what could be causing this? What the FreeRTOS image is doing so that it kills the SWD?

So I am an engineering student and I am trying to develop a android application for a device that uses the bluNRG-2 to send sensor data to the receiver (android device). My thoughts are to incorporate the bluetooth functionality in android studio by using C/C++. Does this make sense? Or should this be done another way?

Hello, I have received for the completion of my thesis the STEVAL-ILL066V2 evaluation board. What I would like to ask is when I connect the board on my pc the board seems to power on. I have downloaded the open source firmware that the official site has but I cant enter into an environment that I can start working on it. I tried using some application files that the firmware folder has but still I don't know how to start programming it. Hello,So I bought a B-L4S5I-IOT01A with the intention to use it as a MQTT device to send and receive data. My problem is that i cannot communicate with the on board Wi-Fi chip "STM32_IWIN_WIFI_V2". Here's what I did :1- I create a project with STM32CubeMX for STM32CubeIDE, and added FreeRTOS (because I plant to use it in my finished project), and initialized all the peripherals to default. And made sure that UART3 (the Wi-Fi chip com port) was configured with the proper default parameters.2- Then I added a library called "STM32_IWIN_WIFI_V2" that I found on the Wi-Fi chip manufacturer web site. It's basically a UART wrapper to help interface with the chip. Originally this library is meant for STM32F4, but since it only called HAL_UART so I went ahead and modified #include for STM32L4.3 - I used a demo program supposed to connect to a Wi-Fi network and post messages about it on the StLink uart port.4- It didn't work... The MCU could not established UART communication with Wi-Fi chip. 5-

Hi, We are working in M41T65 for watch dog timer. M41T65 WDT output is connected to the microcontroller reset pin. Refer attached schematic. We had successfully set the value of watch dog time 0x0A (4 seconds) at once. after 4 seconds, it should reset the microcontroller. But we are not getting the reset in microcontroller. While reading flag register (0x0F), It always giving the value of 0x04. the oscillator fail bit is always on. I tried the stop bit on and off immediately for restart the oscillator after 4 seconds of initial power up. That also not helped us.Please suggest me to solve this problem.Thanks & Regards,Poovai.L

Documentation says that the BlueNRG-LP is certified for Bluetooth 5.2 but it does not make mention of isochronous channels/LE Audio support. Is LE Audio supported? Is there a stack that supports LE Audio?Regards,AC

I saw in docs and examples that the BlueNRG-LP is only supported by IAR/MDK-ARM compilers and IDE.Do you plan to add support of the BlueNRG-LP in STM32Cube-IDE in the near future?Since it is supported by the BlueNRG 1 and 2, I really don't understand the strategy of ST...

Hello, We are looking to upgrade a customers product line by adding a per-qualified BLE module. We have identified the BLUENRG-M0A as a candidate module. We only need to support HID mode. And SPI or serial is an acceptable interface. However we find that nucleo based dev platforms do not support this module. I have carried out some tests on the STEVAL-IDB008V1M. In the tests I have tested how BER is affected range, interference and objects.I achieved this by transmitting hardcoded data, so on the receiver side, I knew the correct data and compared every bit of the received signal to the correct data. From what I can see the testing worked as I expected. I used the example code from "Throughput" from BlueNRG-1_2 DK as base in my testing, with some modifications. The example code uses the following function to receive data: HAL_RADIO_ReceivePacketWithAck(channel, RX_WAKEUP_TIME, receivedData, sendAckData, RX_TIMEOUT, RxCallback), and I use the same.After the tests were done, I asked someone else to check the result I got and he brought up some interesting thoughts. The information I got was that CRC is usually checked at hardware level, so if an error occurs it should not be visible in the layers above, since it doesn´t forward incorrect packets to the higher layers. Hi Team, we are using RF Balun (BAL-UWB-01E3) in our design.For performing RF simulation we are not getting any S-parameter for the selected Balun. Does anyone know from where I can get the S-parameter or Is there any other method to simulate the Balun in HFSS simulation.Thanks,Anand M

Hello, for my project I have decided for negotiating 20V using USB-C PD protocol, to power an external LED lighting.My circuit design comes from the minimum implementation in the datasheet, but I've decided to get rid of the p-MOSFET as I don't need on/off switch on the sink. I believe that the negotiation is happening on the CC lines, so hopefully, this decision shouldn't interfere. According to the datasheet, the VBUS_EN_SNK pin is an open-drain which I believe could even be left unconnected.I am unable to negotiate any voltage above 5V. I've tried to use both factory settings of the chip and also programming the NVM contents by myself.Here is the schematic of the circuit: I've already inspected the board for soldering problems and tried four different pieces. Hi, I got material compliance from Silicon Expert Database. Concerned part is an IC. According to Silicon Expert, there is glue used for die attach. The glue contains a phthalate based substance, DBP. DBP use is restricted by EU RoHS directive, via delegated directive 2015/863. There shall be not more than 0,1% w/w of this phthalate in homogenous material in an EEE (i. e. in the IC which is integrated into an EEE). Problem: the glue contains more DBP than allowed by EU RoHS directive. It´s about 0,2 %, not 0,1 %. Actually, it´s mikrograms per IC. But it is exceeding the threshold. - QUESTION: What happens with DBP in such glue? Does it evaporate when the glue material hardens? I. e. is there no DBP remains in the IC when it is distributed? - I am grateful for helpful hints.
