Hi，I have two questions about the SPAD:1: How does the L4CX select which part to turn off and which part to turn on when the signal is so large that the SPAD needs to be scaled down? Because i have a Lens installed on the light receiving area,  I'm worried if the spad  turn off  the signal-sufficient part .2: Is it possible to adjust my SPAD area by ROI? The manual of the L4CX says that this function is not supported, but I found the API function . Below I would like to explain the problem I'm having:In order to increase the  signal at the far end, I installed a spotlight lens on the light receiving part.I then noticed that when detecting the appearance and disappearance of white objects in close distance, the data returned by the L4CX was not very stable, with continuous error reporting and data abnormality.I found that when the anomaly occurred, both the signal and the spad were abnormal, so I suspect it was caused by the spad opening position.I've

Hi, I want to receive data coming from the sensor without loss.For the testing, sampling rate is set to 32Hz.26667(ODR) / 800 = 32hzif set like this, 32 data per second will be accumulated in the buffer.and CNT_BDR_THR was set to 100.also, FIFO_MODE was set to continus mode.I am reading data by checking counter_bdr_ia as shown in the code below.My expectation is that counter_bdr_ia should occur approximately once every 3 seconds, but counter_bdr_ia is occurring faster than that.Please let me know what's wrong. Hi,I want to set the raw data to around 2k bandwidth and receive all data through FIFO.From what I understand, to set it to 2k bandwidth-Bandwidth ODR/4 = 2.6kHz, HPCF_XL = 0, LPF2_XL_EN =1-FIFO_CTRL3 BDR_XL = 0b1010 ( 26667Hz ) And at this time, if the speed of BDR_XL value is greater than the set bandwidth,  all sampling data can be received from FIFO buffer.is my explanation correct? Additionally, what are the units of the BDR_XL value? is 2666.7hz unit?

Can I ask you about the VL53L8 series.Can the VL53L8 series use multiple at the same level at the same time, the number is greater than 4, will the middle affect each other, I may need to go through several 8*8 to form a larger depth map? Is the distance measurement in the TOF depth map obtained by this sensor in the middle of each small matrix?

I'm trying to use VL53L1X for counting algorithm in the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c91Ve-g0J2U but I'm having a problem with accuracy.Thanks to SparkFun_VL53L1X, I can set ROI centers to separate front/back zones. Even when I fixed the distances from sensor to ground, the received distances is fluctuating. Dear all,I want to set LIS2DUX12TR to detect if there is a motion of the board, like a theft detector.The board is battery powered, so, I was thought to use INT1 pin to wake my PIC18LF26K22 uC to send some data.For me, is for time when I interact with an accelerometer sensor, so, please be kind with me.I read the datasheet, and I found I must enable some function in registers (like bits in EMB_FUNC_EN_A, route interrupt to INT1 pin, send to sleep, etc)  but, I'm not sure which one.I wonder if there is a software, something to visually  configure register and at the final give me an output with modified register and just put the new values on LIS2DUX12TR, or , maybe, someone cold  indicate me what should I do.Thank you in advance for your time.Best regards LE: I don't have any special board, just the board with my uC and LIS2DUX12TR, so, I cannot use MEMS Studio (or I don't know how to use it offline)

GreetingsI am currently using the LIS2DW12 accelerometer, in continuous-to-fifo mode, with the wake-up interrupt configured to INT1, and the DIFF5 interrupt configured to INT2. All works well, as I'm able to read the FIFO contents when the FIFO is full after the interrupt occurs. I am now trying to use the INACTIVITY functionality, using the SLEEP_CHG interrupt on INT2. I was able to get this working previously, where I used the wake-up interrupt on INT1, and SLEEP_CHG on INT2, as advised in this post.If I combine interrupts on INT1 or INT2, the accelerometer fails to work at all. I have tried other FIFO interrupts (both FIFO_FTH and FIFO_DIFF5) on both pins, with no success. As a result, I am unable to sample, and store samples in the FIFO, and then let the accelerometer go into its inactivity state. I am only able to  use the wake-up interrupt on INT1, and the FIFO_DIFF5 interrupt on INT2.Is there a reason for this and\or has it been picked up before, or am I surely doing s

Hello, I want to use the SensorTile.box to collect IMU data over BLE. I tried modifying the BLESensors source code to suit my requirements (by increasing the characteristic size etc.). But the ST BLE Sensor app doesn't seem to support this. I only receive one sample at a time. SPI communication of ISM330DLC with microcontroller fails rarely and randomly. Most of the time, it is observed when it is on a vibrating source. Could you pls give us some idea to know more about this issue and solving it.

Hi, Could you provide any method/code to convert the acceleration values to distance(in cm)? we are able to read the acceleration but we need to know the distance covered as well. How to do it?  

Does the Mems sensor LPS22HBTR require exercising before first use? Our company uses these for detectioopn of objects hitting a membrane and we have come to find out that it appears the mems sensor sometimes needs a puff of air in order to begin working correctly. Is this true, is there some kind of standard first time procedure before using the sensor that I am not aware of?

Hello, IIS3DWB documentation provides only two data points about power consumption:Accelerometer current consumption @ 1.1mA typ.Accelerometer current consumption during power-down @ 5µA typ. I want to be woken-up on vibration levels (on X, Y or Z axis) when a specific threshold gets crossed. The datasheet provides all information about how to do that. However I miss the µA targets. I understand that ODR is fixed anyway @ 26.6667 kHz but I m guessing that power consumption should be well below the nominal 1.1.mA. My target is in the tens of µA to 100 µA range maximum. Else I need a second accelerometer to provide the function. Note: I can cut VDDIO during such mode (VDDIO distinct from VDD) but still need INT1 event toward my microcontroller. Can you provide typical power consumption in such mode so that I can finalize my architecture. ThanksBest Regards,Stephane

Hello . I have to boards L476RG and 303RE and of course IKS01A3 . After installing Unicleo , I can't connect to that IKS (It's not even showing port )  . I'm changing boards but still It can't see it . On some tutorials some lady was coping some files to the folder which is being created after connecting the board to USB . But my board is not even existing in examples . Simple question : How I can connect IKS using my boards (476RG or 303RE ) vand see the values from sensors ? Best Regards , Samu  

For the VL53L4CD,Is there a default ranging frequency that can be set to the highest ranging frequency of 100Hz?How to set ?

Hi...how are you ...I made aproject using vl6180x with esp8266 nodemcu v3 ....sometimes the power reached it and worked and other times the power didnot reach it and in that time i have to unplug and replug the esp to the pc port or reset the esp until the power reached it....i connect the sensor to 3.3v pin altought I found some projects connect it to 5v but I afraid to do that or it will burn ....so what is the right connections? I found some projects on google ..they connect it to 5v also like I said sometimes power reached and sometimes not when I connect to 3.3v .....so can I try to connect to 5v maybe i can get stable steady power with no cut off....or how I made sure that sensor can handle 5v and it will not burn if I connect to 5v ?

The VL53L0X sensor chips (33 of them) i bought from Digikey isn't working in my PCBA. I tried to use sensor from the module which i purchased early on is working fine in my PCBA & shows distance readings. I suspect the batch had manufacturing defects as I bought it on January 15 2024.Can someone help me with the solution ? 

Hello,I evaluated the VL53L5CX and it works pretty well. Unfortunately I cannot use it in my application because it has a RAM based firmware (flash memory consumption and maybe boot time also).1) Is there a way to easily find out which of the sensors are RAM / ROM based?2) Will there also be a ROM based version of the VL53L5CX?

Hello all, We will probably need to go for custom cover panels for our sensors, however, we could not find a clear list of requirements to follow.Material: The product's datasheet (DS13812 - Rev 6) states that "the VL53L4CD achieves the best ranging performance in various ambient lighting conditions and for a wide range of cover glass materials." We were considering PMMA or PEI + PC as Gilisymo's / Hornix's cover panels for the VL53L4CD use these materials. Are there other materials worth considering?Thickness and air gap: We came across AN5231 - Rev 1 that provides cover window guidelines for the VL53L1X sensor (not the VL53L4CD).  In Section 5.2.6 ST states that "for sub 1000 mm ranging– Total air gap and cover window thickness = 2 mm maximum– Cover window thickness <1.5 mm and air gap <0.5 mm"Is this also valid for the VL53L4CD, or are the recommended air gap and cover window thickness values different? Please let me know if there is document

Hi, I am reading from IMP34DT05 (master receive, PDM), and I always receive 0x00 0x7F 0xFF 0xFF ...and 0xFF's, ever after, until reset of SAI (disable-enable). Playing sound into mic has no effect. In debugger, immediately upon SAI enabled, FIFO is full and underrun flag is on, before any data is read. Here is my current ioc config:And register values, just in case (WB55):Mic L/R is on GND. Mclk is 50MHz.I tried different configs with same result; frame synchro length, 8/16kHz, rising/falling edge.Where am I wrong?
