Are there any options to reduce the power consumption based upon the configuration I have set so far ?This while still being able to sample at 10Hz 10 bit and using FIFO so that the MCU could stay 'disabled' most of the time.For my project I need the accelerometer to sample @10 bit, 10Hz and 2G  with the lowest power consumption possible. I have used the FIFO to allow the mcu to sleep (for almost 3 seconds) when nothing else needs to be processed. When the watermark of 30 samples is reached I request it to (burst) read\request the values from the FIFO over the SPI interface (8MHz). The request I did get is to have a similar power consumption.The drawn current of the entire setup is about 9.5 uA on average when using the lis2dh12.But when using another accelerometer (bma253) I get about 7 μA total. During the measuring I have seen that the minimal drawn power consumption is increased by 2.5μA. Therefore I determined with the information available that the acceleromet

Is there any application note or other information available about the LPS22HB's low current mode, as enabled by LC_EN in RES_CONF register? Other than reducing power consumption, what does it do and specifically, how does it affect performance?

I want to use 2x LIS2DW12 accelerometers on one PCB.I used i2c to save GPIOs.The i2c address is selected by pulling the SDO/SAO pin HIGH or LOW and it is internally pulled HIGH with approximately 20kohm at 3.6v.If I just connect it to GND then I can expect 180uA leakage.If I use a resistor to pull it down then I calculate that to get a LOW value of 0.2 x 3.6v (0.72V) I need to use a pull down of at least 5Kohms. But this implies a leakage current of 146uA. Which is still not great.Is there another way to connect 2 x LIS2DW12, except using SPI? Can I connect the SDO/SAO to a GPIO and toggle it LOW when I want to read either accelerometer, and leave it floating the rest of the time? (pulled high)

Hello,I have code working well on the LIS2DH12 that I'm having trouble porting to a LIS2DW12. Unfortunately my new supplier only has boards with the LIS2DW12 and not the H12 so I have to port over my detection code to it. I have a sensor connected to a mechanism that closes shut very quickly and basically just want to get an interrupt when the Z-axis has forceful feedback like this.Using the LIS2DH12, I had the scale set at 16G, a threshold that worked well (0x5a on the INT1 register) and INT1_CFG it to a Z-axis high event, with 50Hz ODR. This worked perfectly.Unfortunately, the LIS2DW12 doesn't seem to have settings similar to detect a Z-axis high event, so I'm trying to use the click interrupt instead, but it's not working. It fails to detect the shut mechanism unless is set it to a 2g scale and then it's too sensitive because I shouldn't get interrupts for slight movements but I do. My settings for the LIS2DW12 are:ctrl1 - 0b01000000 - 50hz low powerctrl4 - 0b01000000

Hello,my question applies to both the LSM6DSO and LSM6DSOX FIFO. if I am enabling the gyro and accel both at the same ODR and also enabling timestamp, I want to know what gets written into the FIFO first. I know I can use the tag register to tell me what that "word" is, but I want to ensure that the sequence the data is written/read from the FIFO will always be the same for a given ODR.I am not locally processing the sensor data but transferring it for processing and I want to minimize the length of my packet if I can guarantee the sequence will always be the same. any help if greatly appreciated. Regards, 

Hi,I'm using ST BLE Sensor combined with ST BLE Box for mine BLE application testing. I'm really pleased with it and I even adopted mine Services/Charactersitics to match the BlueST protocol. I wanted to go further and add custom parameters using ADD CUSTOM DTDL ENTRY. Firstly, I can't find the document resources describing the properites in *.json format. The example one I found, doesn't work either. I used Azure IoT to generate model but adding it failed as well. Please for helpMarcin

I have already downloaded the X-CUBE-MEMSMIC1 software package.Is it sufficient to install the UltrasoundFFT.exe executable or is it necessary to download additional software to use MEMS microphones?Thank you

Hey everyone,I am new to the lsm6dsv16x sensor and I would like to set it up to read the full fifo as an interrupt vs polling due to speed. I am following the example from github setting up my gpio as an external event for interrupt int1. https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/blob/master/lsm6dsv16x_STdC/examples/lsm6dsv16x_fifo_irq.cBut I am having an issue where the interrupt does not trigger unless I remove and put back the wire from the pin on the dev board. And only reads one or two times unless I remove the wire and put it back on the gpio. Any idea why this is happening? I am not sure why this is happening. I checked the pin and it is low without the imu interrupt pin, and it stays high with the interrupt pin connected. Not sure if I need pull ups or pull downs on the interrupt pin. Also, Do I need to  wake up the accelerometer when I need it? or can it stay on at all times?    void accelerometerInit() {

Hi,I've been working with the LIS2DH12 sensor for quite some time, primarily utilizing the X and Y axes without any issues. However, for a new project, I also need to incorporate the Z-axis. I've noticed that while the acceleration values reported are accurate, in terms of absolute value, the sign is the opposite than expected.Is this a bug already known? I haven't found any ticket or post talking about it, and it seems strange to me.I am expecting the following axis reference.Every time I put the sensor oriented with the X or Y axis pointing down (totally vertical), I get +1g acceleration, but if do the same with the Z-Axis, I get -1g acceleration.Could any one help me?Thank you in advance.Regards,Luis 

Hello STM32 community,I've been examining the lsm303agr.h file from STMicroelectronics for the LSM303AGR accelerometer, and I came across something puzzling in line 197. In the code, it defines LSM303AGR_ACC_SENSITIVITY_2G as ((uint8_t)1), but according to the LSM303AGR datasheet, the linear acceleration sensitivity at ±2 g in normal mode is 3.9mg/LSB.Could someone help me understand why there's a discrepancy between the code definition and the datasheet specifications? The silk screen of LIS2DLC12TR is the same as LIS2DS12TR, but the specific information and parameters of LIS2DLC12TR cannot be found

Hi all,I have a question regarding the LSM6DSL's gyroscope high-pass filter configuration.For LSM6DS3, there is an option to reset the high-pass with HP_G_RST = 1. This way, the DC component of the angular velocity is immediately removed, c.f. https://community.st.com/ysqtg83639/attachments/ysqtg83639/mems-sensors-forum/21052/2/AN4650.PDF, figure 5, page 26.How can I achieve the same with the LSM6DSL? According to the datasheet and application notes (https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5040-lsm6dsl-alwayson-3d-accelerometer-and-3d-gyroscope-stmicroelectronics.pdf) there is no such option here. I just tried setting the same bit of CTRL7_G to 1 but without the desired effect. Unfortunately, I can't wait for the filter to fully settle down for several seconds to minutes at its lowest cutoff frequency. Are there any workarounds?Kind regardsFelix

since LPS22HH support one byte read or multiple byte read. wonder how LPS22HH handles the last bit on I3C because last bit in Read data is 'T', rather than ACK/NACK from I3C Controller. How does LPS22HH (target) know Controller need single or mulitple byte read. 

Hello, I am currently running the MEMSMIC1 audio streaming example via usb with 4 channels and it works fine, but Because i am using the nucleo-wb55 board that has a pdm interface supporting up to 3 microphone pairs I want to use as many microphones as possible.Which specific files in the memsmic1 project do i need to adjust to support the streaming of 6 microphones?
