I'm having trouble when reading back the values I have written to the VNF1048F IC.Every time, the unused bit is being enabled, Even after only performing the software reset,the unused bit is setting.Here's what I have tried so far:1.Performed a software reset.2.Set the Unlock bit and write unlock bit threes times in control register33.Set the watchdog trogger to 1 and the watchdog time to 200ms.4.Enabled the EN bit.5.Configured the threshold values.Despite these steps,when i read back,only the unused bit is being set, and no other bits are enabling.Can you please help me to identify what might be going wrong?

Hi folks, I hope you're able to help me out. I need to replace a few of the components in the picture. Sorry for the poor quality.I did of course google the markings but have had no results. - The measurements of the package is 2.4mm x 4.2mm.- To me it seems that in the top-left, is the STMicroelectronics logo.- Next it says "e3" in a circle. Next to that it says "VU" or VO".- The middle line says "DUK".- The last line seems to say "GP944".- The left side if the chip seems to have a line marking polarity.- I believe the component to be either a diode or a uni-polar capacitor.                         Thanks in advance and best regards-Kenneth

 Maybe my question should be on Stackoverflow, but I thought there would be qualified people here to help me.I need to keep a data structure updated between two processors, with a size around 100B to 200B and something around 1 to 3 updates per second. The two µCUs are connected via SPI and I haven't determined which one is the master yet. But one µCU is STM32 and the other ESP32I've never used DMA, but I'm researching the ST database and Google for information on how it works and how it would be to keep such structures constantly updated.Would this be the best choice? SPI + DMAOr keep a timer sending data via SPI?

Hi, i believe i have blown up some IC`s while debugging. Its a BLDC driver. Now i wonder how i safely could debug it. I know of the intrusive nature of debugging, but not that well. Does anyone know a good article, or can provide some knowledge? Especially i wonder, is the debugger always stopping at the exact spot? How would implement a safe debugging breakpoint, while other things like PWM has to be controlled, in order to not let current go beyond specs?  

Hi,I want to use ECMF02-4CMX8 as ESD protection and filtering means for a isolated USB 2.0 downstream port design.The chosen connector is a Type C receptacle.My question pertains to pin function of ECMF02-4CMX8.The type C connector exposes two configuration pins, CC1 and CC2.Can I connect CC1 to pin 4 and CC2 to pin 1 ?From the datasheet I know the pin 1 is reserved to VBUS and pin 4 is reserved to ID, however I prefer to assign this 1 pin to CC2, and route VBUS to a separate over-voltage protection chip (MAX14699EWC+).Is my choice correct and safe ?I attach the proposed schematic for the complete interface.Thank you for any helpGabriele

Hello,i use your pspice model for the OP AMP TSZ181H1 with LT spice simulator. I get an issue if i simulate temperatures above 27°C. Below that temperature everything works. The error message i get from LT spice is as follows:Time step too small; initial timepoint: trouble with U6:mos_n-instance m:u6:_nmos2.If i remove U6 than the next instance number with the same problem occurs.has sombody an explanation for that.regardsFranz

Hello,  We are considering using the ST33HTPH2X32AHD5 for our application. This IC has four GPIOs (GPIO_PP, GPIO_LP, GPIO_D, GPIO_C), along with RESET and IRQ pins. We have the following questions regarding these pins: 1) Can you recommend which GPIO pins should be used/connected to the controller? 2) Can the GPIO pins be left open if not in use? 3) Is a 10k pull-up resistor required on the RESET pin? 4) Is a 10k pull-up resistor required on the IRQ pin? 5) We have added a 2k pull-up on the I2C lines. Is a 2k pull-up acceptable for this application?     6) We have also attached the schematic for your review.  Please review and provide you feedback and suggestion.    Thanks, Sonali

We are working on one of our project which previously using TDA7566 IC. Can anyone suggest any pin-to-pin compatible IC for TDA7566? Are the following IC's are compatible - TDA7580, TDA7388, TDA7850? I would like to know more about the 3 pins (pin number: 22, 25, 4) of TDA7566 as there are mainly 3 pins which are not match with TDA7384A & TDA7385 and similar case with other IC's.

Hello, I'm new in this community. I have a problem with my control panel from my camper. (Dethleffs) The Control Panel is from Schaudt. It's the MP20-Tproblem: Temperature from both sensors shows -28°feedback from Schaud: The IC is the reason for my problem but I get not more feedback I have to send it there.I checked for the IC but I can't identify the number.  somebody knows which is the correct number from the IC in the attachment? thanks a lot for your help. regards Michael

Hello Team,I have some problem with unlocking the VNF1048F chip using SPI communication, I have the got the read working but chip is always in LOCKED state and when I try to unlock according the sequence mentioned in datasheet doesn't work.I try to set UNLOCK BIT , WD_TIME and WD_TRIG bits in CR3 and in the next stepI try to set EN bit in CR1But when iIread back these registers, values are 0 always and status register (0x11) shows LOCKEDM is 1 WD_FAIL is 1. To be able to set WD_TIME and WD_TRIG bits should I unlock the device first?  Not sure what is the startup sequence.Could you please share the initial configuration of the chip or any example code would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance !!Regards,Krishna duriseti.

Hi,Just to mention that the HW files of STEVAL-DIGAFEV1 board seems to have its Arduino connectors CN2 & CN4 numbered in the opposite way than the Nucleo ones.It's not a big deal, because the pins function/location between Nucleo boards and this little one are corrects. It's only matter of numbering in the schematics and pin 1 square pad on PCB.

Hi, In the ST33KTPM2X datasheet is mentioned that the I2C device address is configurable in the range of 0x08 to 0x77, but what is its default after power-up ... it is not mentioned in the datasheet. A STSafe application note suggests 0x2E, is that correct? Thanks,Bert

NOR flash memory chips behave the same as other types of flash memory. If I energize NOR flash once a year, will it prevent any data loss? The datasheet says retention 20 years. If I energize it after 19 years, will it prolong data retention?in my case the storage temperature varies between 33-36C, write cycles are few, I use it more for readingthe chip is ST M29W640FT 70N6H in its datasheet it says that the retention is for 20 years. I don't know if the storage temperature is the data retention temperature or the flash chip storage temperature. Maximum rating is -65 to 150 °Cin my case the storage temperature varies between 33-36C and 15 eraser and no more what is the average number of years of 100% data retention? my chip in pcb some storage

I have a STUSB4500 chip which will be used to negotiate 9v out of a PD power supply (the same power supply is used to power a Pinecil which reports 9v). Unfortunately I have had several issues in getting it to work.  I am unable to communicate to the chip via i2c (unexpected nack when writing the address, the logic analyzer shows this and the ina219 on the same bus works as expected).The chip also does not have any voltage on the 1V2 and 2V7 decoupling capacitors and does not activate (pull low) the vbus_en_snk pin. It does however read 4.6v on Vdd (5v input but voltage drop over the mosfet) I initially believed that the chip was fried and replaced it with a spare. The spare I replaced it with turned out to be the lite version (STUSB4500L). (I purchased two batches and bought the wrong part in one of the batches). I was able to communicate via i2c with that chip(however could not negotiate 9v out of the power supply due to limitations of the lite version). Given how similar t
