Hello,I am trying to connect an ILI9325C display to an STM32F401RET6 microcontroller. After writing the code correctly and connecting the display, it doesn't respond and only has the backlight on (from the power supply). I connected the STM32 to a logic analyzer and started an SPI analysis. I configured the CPHA and CPOL settings to match those of the STM32, but I keep getting the error: "The initial (idle) state of the CLK line does not match the settings." Posted on June 29, 2017 at 21:08Hello Guys , I am  writing a programme in STM32F302R8 and  trying to interface  c8855m OEM Print Cartridge Driver through SPI protocol. I have to transmit 8 bit data in DCLK of Controller but it transmit 16 bit. Could you give me idea How can I generate 8 bit data in DCLK line .

I am using a STM32L031F6P6 device, with a microchip port expander:  MCP23S17,  off the SPI bus.    I am using the device in interrupt mode, so when a gpio changes state, it sets its int line, which is tied back to my stm part.   In my int handler, all I do is set a flag, which is then picked up in the main loop.  If the flag is set,  the main loop will then perform a read of the gpio device to get the port value..etc.  All of this worker 100% perfectly when I compile my app for DEBUG.  However, when I compile it under release it is not working, the values read from the port expander are bad.  Here is what I can confirm: all of the variables used in the INT hander/main loop are Volatile.Both serial(rs232 ) and SPI are working correctly under both release and debug.  I have other spi gpio devices on the same spi bus that are "outputs" that are working fine.  I have tested th

Hi, I'm using a STM32L031K6 with platform.io & arduino framework. I know this forum is not relevant to platform.io or arduino, but most of my code is with LL drivers which should change nothing (but maybe ?). First, i don't understand the IRQn. Hi, I am using STM32l4R9 and using uCosIII Os with 16MHz CPU frequency. The project works fine with bare metal but getting failed when creating micrium tasks. The same micrium project works fine with 48MHz CPU frequency. TIA!  

Posted on December 07, 2016 at 21:47 There is a problem with IDE debuggers for STM32F7, and as I understand, all ARM M7 core based processors. With other CORTEX controllers, when a debbuger pauses or hits a breakpoint, the debugger stops interrupt processing so that, even if interrupts are running in the system, when you single step, you go to the next line in the software module you are debugging. With the F7 debuggers, like GDB which is used by Eclipse, SW4STM32, Keil and other toolsets, when you hit a breakpoint and then try to single step, if any interrupts are running in the system, you step into an ISR, or the same instruction, not your next instruction and will keep doing this forever. The 'workaraound' is apparently to put your cursor on another line and tell the debugger to 'Run to Cursor'. But even this does not work until you disable the breakpoint where you stopped, because the interrupt return keeps taking you back to the breakpoint rather than going on. Does anyone know

I am using the STM32H725AGI6, and I noticed that the EMC compliance information in the datasheet refers to precompliance testing using a TEM cell. I believe this is mainly for identifying potential EMC issues early in the design process. Are there any other EMC compliance tests (such as full emissions or immunity tests) that have been conducted for this microcontroller? If so, where can I find official documentation or reports on its compliance with standards like IEC 61000-4-x, CISPR 32, or any other relevant EMC standards? Any insights or links to detailed compliance information would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to establish contact with the board via simulink by blinking an LED. I followed this tutorial. The code built but there is no reaction from the board. I get the following errors from Simulink but it says target built successfully. Any help would be appreciated - I'm sure it is a simple fix I just do not know what to do.

Hello, My name is Barbra, and I am working on a project using the STM32F746-DISCO board, and I need to help to debug an issue. I have written an I2C driver for the MPU6050 board, and I can't fetch any data from it. the accelerometer, gyroscope and temperature registers all seem to be at 0 always when i run the script in debug mode. I can see that the sensor gets identified through its WHO_AM_I register and gets the right readings, 0x68, but I can't get the data from the chip. i am using the STM32 HAL.i would appreciate any help presented. Hi Team, I am a complete beginner. I am working on a project using STM32F429 DISC1 to drive an external LCD using LTDC (parallel RGB interface) using the ST7789H2 driver. Currently, I have a working code for running the LCD that comes with the discovery board using the ILI9341 driver. How can I port this code to work with an external LCD using ST7789H2 with the same interface?(RGB parallel). Thanks

Hello ST-Community. We are evaluating STM32L4 MCU in order to operate in conjunction with an external ADC via SPI compatible interface. The interface requires : two MISO (DOUTx), 1xCLK, MOSI is not required.I assume that we could try this configuration of OctoSPI in CubeMx, but as the OctoSPI interface is mainly done to control FLASHs, I concern that we will need to customize a lot.---Did anyone use it OctoSPI for this kind of application? Is there other suggestions? Thank you!PS. we understand, that we could use two SPI masters or SW GPIO control in order to imitate this protocol.

Hi, I'm new to stm32 boards and I'm using it on platformIO with Arduino framework. I have problems with the led LD4 (st-link led). - When I use the USB cable (JP3 jumper on U5V -> powering the board using usb) the power led LD6 is green but the LD4 is red. When I upload the code the LD4 blinks red and then stable red again once flash is completed and nothing happens (in the code I turn on/off led LD1 and print something).- When I use external power (7.6V battery on VIN, JP3 jumper on VIN) the power led LD6 is green, the LD4 is green as well. Once I upload the code the LD4 blinks red and then stable red again once flash is completed and nothing happens.- Also, I tried doing the same thing with framework STM32cube but no luck (same behaviour). Hello,I am attempting to send data from an STM32G474RE (Client) to a laptop (Server) over TCP using the W5500 module. However, I am encountering an issue where the data transmission works properly only up to an SPI baud rate of 18 MHz. When I attempt to increase the SPI baud rate beyond 18 MHz, the transmission fails, and no data is sent to the server.I have also tried using DMA mode for SPI, but there was no improvement in the situation.According to the W5500 datasheet, the recommended practical SPI baud rate is 33.3 MHz. Despite this, I am unable to send data reliably at higher speeds.Can Anyone suggest a solution to resolve this issue and allow for successful data transmission at SPI speeds above 18 MHz?

Hello! I made recently small project using the NUCLEO476RG board and W5500 Ethernet shield which basically makes a web server. I followed this guide: https://www.micropeta.com/video109. The problem is, i cant receive the ip adress from the W5500 chip after the project debugging and can't connect to web server. I tried different spi, ethernet shield and etc (so it's possibly not the hardware problem). I also tried setting the breakpoint after the wizchip initialization (line 265 in main.c). The spi on nucleo is working, i proved it with oszilloskop. I would be very grateful for any advice.Other hardware
